[Q] Custom Roms for Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab?

Is there any custom roms for the CDMA tab, if so, where can I find them?

Im looking too. I can hear crickets over in the Sprint portion of the Galaxy Tab forums. Im rooted with nowhere to go.. lol.

Basicly there is one overclocked kernek and a few roms from the same guy. Look in the development section for cdma roms

I see several cdma roms but the all say vzw im assuming that means Verizon wireless. Will those work for Sprint cdma?

Nope. Only the ones that say sprint. Or a few that say verizon/sprint.

Ok Thanks for the info! I may have to return my GT and wait for the HTC Flyer.
I got the GT thinking as long as i have the hardware i can flash whatever. But we are all at the mercy of the DEVS. No development no flashing..

I called sprint and had them to cancel my contract! Plus $75 off! Now its becoming a fun toy! The 3g sucks on this tablet on sprint network, the tablet is laggy, and etc......But it's now the greats gadget ever for $130 "for now"

hey what method did you use to root your GTab, and what firmware are you running ?

I have a sprint galaxy tab that is out of contract and w/o service.
is it possible to flash it with a verizon rom and then get data service from Verizon? Does 3D use the same frequencies?

No, the hardware between sprint and vzw is different. You can flash your sprint tab to boost mobile (info in the dev section)
And as far as flashing VZW vs Sprint roms, 90% of the time, the VZW roms work just fine on a sprint tab, as long as you aren't needing 3g. So if you're using the Tab wifi only, don't let the VZW bit scare you away from running a rom (CM7 etc say VZW only but still work fantastically on my Sprint tab.)

Yea the contact rom is great for sprint tab. Overclock and undervolt kernel to use with it.

I am using my Sprint GT as Wifi only permanently. (I have phone service with Pageplus).
I am currently running the 1n1tia|C0ntact_V_1_6 ROM and its great.
Can I flash ROMs that are built for GSM GT's?
I won't ever need 3G service for this tab. Wifi only

Dont think that would work buddy.I hope more Roms come out like honeyccomb or icecream sandwich type so I can download the apps I actually want

ICS should be coming to the cdma tabs. If you notice in the dev forum the GSM tabs got all the work on them and our tabs got left behind.

Which SGT would you choose??

Ok so now I have 4 SGT's and I don't know which one to keep I have two of each of the following
Sch-I800 from verizon. With a sim and is a US spec sgt
Gt-p1000 unlocked with sim and is UK spec
Not sure what tab to keep for myself. I would guess the p1000 since its unlocked but maybe I'm wrong

I second GANJDROID. There's not much happening with the other varieties of tab at the moment... Too many people own the Euro model and not enough the other versions for developement to be started...

Keep the 1000: you get a complete experience - phone, 3g data, wifi, take it and use it anywhere in the world.

Samsung galaxy s type?

A friend of mine has a Samsung galaxy s sch-i500, and wants to know if there's any root out there? Any rom support for this phone? I browsed the forum and didn't see that model. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

Galaxy s i 9000 is the well supported samsung model in XDA. If u r planning for a galaxy model my advice is that u go for galaxy s i 9000.

This could be my last visit with the Thrill

As some of you know me, I've currently been working with the Thrill and had a small ROM in the make which I decided to postpone.
I'm currently getting rid of my Cliq XT & G1 in trade for the lovely T-Mobile Galaxy S2, though I've an AT&T SIM Card.
I don't care much for waiting with the Thrill, Samsung is super close to Google & that means that Samsung definitely gets updates far before a lot of other companies.
Love you guys, it's just time to make progress, not circle jerk.
As rude as that sounds.

Hi kicker where in south wales? Im from swansea. Ive got a standard s3 but my girlfriend got a mini so im going to be making themes and roms for this device when there is a custom recovery
