Created this not too long ago in the kitchen and flashed it in Recovery on my phone successfully.
Copy BluePercentBattery.zip to the root of your SD Card
Use Bionic Bootstrap and reboot into Recovery
Flash BluePercentBattery.zip from the SD Card
Once done (takes a few seconds) reboot
Enjoy
AS USUAL WHAT YOU DO TO YOUR PHONE IS YOUR FAULT
Keep in mind I currently I have no intentions to create a return to stock version.
Any need to erase cache or dalvik cache?
Also how about a return to stock .zip
I didnt erase any cache. I currently have no plans in returning to stock nor creating a return to stock zip and updated the main post explaining this. Sorry. New to this side of the world.

I got it, worked fine, the numbers for the percent are kind of small though. I've changed the density so its higher res and I guess that makes the percent numbers real small....
O well, looks good, thanks!!!
Edit: after looking at it closer, is there any way you can make the numbers at least as tall as the battery?
thanks for this, favor/help/question/issue lol
I was not a real fan of the battery bar you had so i spent the last few hours making my own. I gave my hand at re-singing your framework and seeing if I could push it and needless to say FC's left and right lol. on a plus note I see my bat and it looks sexy but just cant get the FC's to stop. would you be willing to toss my batt images into a flashabe zip? plzzz
here are the icons. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22063477/Android/drawable-hdpi.zip
basically looks like stock batt but reversed and cleaned up a bit
hope ur willing to give me a hand and thanks!
Wow now you guys are really testing me now. That was a first for me using a kitchen that everything is "pre-made" can only really customize certain colors. I am a complete NOOB but gave it a shot with what boosted provided since was able to provide all the exact necessary images.
Well boosted I tried my best, tested it on my phone, and the BIONIC just finished booting up. No force closes, yet , however it seems to be working seems smaller but my eyes are tired. I have to wake up in in 2hrs (3am EST ugh) to work on several servers so here you go and let me know.
I assume since there is no kernel allowing 1 percent battery ercentages this does the 10 percent ones?

First and foremost I take no credit for anything contained in this ROM. I have taken bits and pieces from various ROMs I like and rolled my own.
The base is Binny's stock ROM.
LauncherPro from unrevolved by ozzeh
Has Both HTC and Android Music apps (in case someone, like me, prefers the old one)
Rosie and All Rosie widgets removed
WiFi Tether
TouchFlo port from Samsung included (choose launcher for yourself)
Again, all credit to the Devs listed above. I am no Dev myself, only a chef cooking up something to my own liking and thought I would share.
Anybody wanna test for me?
Download here
Installation...
Copy TouchOfPhotons-v1.zip to your SDCARD and reboot into Clockwork recovery. Then Install Zip and Choose Zip from SDCARD.
Be sure to take a Nandroid Backup and WIPE FIRST!
So far everything seems to be working fine for me...WiFi, BT, etc...
I would recommend Hydra's Undervolt with Wireless-N kernel here. This just needs to be installed like any other zip using Clockwork recovery.
Also I would recommend the MultiTouch Keyboard DANESHM90 managed to pull from the Droid-X here. This can be installed with Astro or an equivalent of your choice.
Thanks to all in the community. I am glad to be a part of it!
UPDATE.... Kernel link above may not work consistently so I am attaching the zip.
For those requesting it, I am attaching the TouchFlo Launcher. Just install via Astro or similar.
UPDATE - 7/7 --- Thanks to bowtiedeuce for pointing out the fix scuccia found for the Facebook constantly syncing issue. I am attaching that patch here (full credit to him, of course). Just install it like any other zip from your sdcard using clockworkmod recovery (install over your current setup, no wipe) and it should resolve the sync issue. Future releases will not have this bug.

BTW....
The Live Wallpapers work great with the TouchFlo launcher.

I'm loving this ROM! Just got everything set up on it...
Couple things though... I'm having a hard time pushing a custom bootanimation.zip to /data/local
I had no problem doing it on a just a plain rooted Inc, but I can't with this...
Another would be requesting to get the 2.1 lock screen and not the HTC one... Thanks! Awesome work, keep it up!
each time i download this file ROM and i try to install it, i get an error when it is trying to write to BOOT that says E: No Room Left on Device, failure at Line 394. Has anyone else seen this and if so, have they figured out how to fix it? I have wiped the boot partition and completely formated my whole system. Still the same error, i also redownloaded the file 3 times and still the same issue.

to clarify it is giving me an error saying "Error writing to Boot"
EDIT: got it working by removing the write_raw_image line at the end of the update_script

IF anything, I would says possibly the kernel (based on the error he says he got), but I would recommend you use the kernel attached in the OP anyway, so....
Really I don't know why you two are getting those errors and not the others who are testing, though. You are wiping before you install, right? Always the best practice: Nandroid Backup + Wipe.
I've been using it for most of the day - no issues. Phone, Google Voice, SIP phone, BT - looks flawless, so far...

Hey,
I just wrote this up.
Thanks to jcase for the information and his root for eris: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742228
This will root your phone with no button pressing. No need for a PC.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptkbiyt99bws3ft/Galaxysrooter_Final.apk
NOTE: The auto-reboot will not work. it seems only system apps can reboot the phone. So for now.
Here is the work around
Code:
Just power off... Reboot into recovery...
Hold vol + and vol -
Hold power
Wait for vibrant
Release power
Reinstall packages
Mirror thanks to jphilpot
Confirmed working! Thanks to themykel.
Thanks to all for bug testing. This should be the final version. No need to use astro or anything to move files.
Thanks!
If you like this app and it helped you. Please donate. http://bit.ly/crSq3B THANKS!
if this is confirmed working, i can put this up in my market account for users to easily download / install / use. let me know.

I had that issue, simply move the update zip to where it needs to be, I used Astro
Koush is going to add the root method to clockwork in the extras folder. It would be awesome if koush added a root option for as many phones as possible. That would make clockwork the ultimate android app.

Hashcode actually made the "second" version of the Droid 3 Bootstrap, and it is this tweaked version by Hashcode that allows us to boot into BPtools by pressing the power button + M when booting the phone.
Koush's Bootstrap is what we find on the Android Market, and it does not allow manual booting into BPtools. So, either you got the Dev names mixed up or you have the apps mixed up. They both have the red skull icon.
Hashcode's Tweaked app is what you should definitely use, as Koush's will only boot you into Recovery if a bootloop is detected (but many have said that more often than not, the detection doesn't work 100% of the time, leaving you with a soft-brick).
EDIT: Here's the link found in the Droid 3 Development Forums to Hashcode's Tweaked Bootstrap.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289254
SECOND EDIT: Make sure to uninstall your current Bootstrap and delete your current Nandroid backups prior to installing this one and making a Nandroid with it.
Slightly off topic, but not totally. The other day when trying to flash a zip from the uot kitchen,I had the CWM get kinda buggy on me. When I selected reboot all I got was the pic of the box and the little Droid dude. Had to batt pull to get out of CWM. Anyone know why. I've flashed several zip from the kitchen and that's never happened before.

You're very welcome! I'm fairly new at this myself but I learn a lot everyday just from reading the threads around here. Glad I could help.
People have been asking in the dev forum alot about how to have two roms on the same device. So i thought I would make a how to.
You do this at your own risk.
Things Needed:
external SD
Get CWM for droid3
SafeStrap for droid3
stable rom to use as nonsafe [put on external SD]
rom to use as safe [put on external SD]
TiBu
1. (make sure you are in nonsafe, if you don't know what this means then dont worry). Do a backup of everything you will want to keep with TiBu.
2. Put the backup on external SD or on dropbox.
3. Uninstall any existing recoveries.
4. Reboot device.
5. Install cwm.
6. Reboot into CWM Recovery and install stable rom.
7. Reboot device.
8. Uninstall CWM and Then install safestrap.
9. Reboot into safestrap recovery.
10. Use volume rockers to go to safe boot menu.
11. Toggle safesystem.
12. select install a zip
13. choose safe rom
14. DONE "]
The nonsafe system will now contain your stable rom. and the safe system will contain your 'experimental' or second rom. I recommend not putting any new or buggy roms as your nonsafe. And this is already considered a dangerous thing to do. And give a huge thanks to hashcode for providing us with safestrap and koush for cwm :]
I currently use MavRom as a nonsafe. Its extremely stable and has not caused any issues at all.
Also if you want to transfer the safe to the nonsafe, use tibu to entirely back up the rom, system and user apps, you can then restore it after flashing it to nonsafe. Make a new backup folder to put it in so you don't mix it up with other backups from different roms

I can't seem to get this to work with Cm7 as Safe rom and Cm9 as my experimental. I got Steel Droid to boot up and stock but I'm starting to think any rom that isn't blur based (which is really only cyanogen) isn't able to be dual booted. I just get a black screen after the splash screen I've been trying for a week now. If anybody is willing to give it a shot just to see if its me then please let me know of your findings but Mavrom Liberty SD all of those I can boot its cm7.1 or Cm9 that won't...

Damnit man I would rather not have to run cm7 as my stable rom seeing how I have no front facing camera support but the other features that the blur based roms lack just make it impossible to use as a daily driver. I need control over which buttons are in the notification widget and a few of the other features cm provides and none of the blurless roms give me that unfortunately... I'm determined to get this to work if its the last thing I do lol

I can't get cm7 to boot up past the safestrap splash screen.... I start out with bootstrap boot cm7 up and then remove bootstrap and install safestrap thus making cm7 my non safe or main rom but upon rebooting the phone I just get the black screen after the splash screen... I can get into safestrap and switch to safe mode and run whatever rom I last had there or flash any nandroids I had in non safe mode but whatever rom I had on prior to installing safestrap (cm7 or cm9) they won't actually reboot. I thought cm9 would work which would really be a hastle keeping that as my non safe rom and cm7 as my main one on the safe side thus leaving me to redo the entire process everytime a new cm9 is released but cm9 wouldn't boot up past the initializing apps screen that first pops up... It counts up to all the apps I have then just stays stuck on starting applications or whatever it says, cm7 doesn't even boot up beyond the splash screen...
Edit: And I know that I'm doing it right because I have got Steel Droid to dual boot before I just can't understand y blurfree roms can't boot in non safe mode

Ok im gonna give this another shot tonight..... haven't had the time or patience especially since I think its gonna fail again but ill update with my progress.... gonna try cm7 as the non safe and aokp as the safe one...
Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk
Ok, time to feel like a total noob.
So, my idea was to use safestrap to install aokp on the safe partition and leave my stock (+root) rom on the unsafe one.
I had bootstrap installed, just to back up my stuff and whatnot, so, I uninstalled it, installed safestrap, put all the stuff needed for AOKP ( rom, gsm patch and gapps ) and rebooted the phone. I enabled the safe system, and flashed rom, patch and gapps. then I rebooted, and I got into a loop where I would see the motorola logo ( the still one, which says "dual core technology" or something like that), then I got the safestrap splashscreen and if I pressed search, or left the phone idle so it would boot on it's own, it would get me to the motorola logo again, and repeat the loop.
I had to go back to the unsafe system and luckily it's all still there, but, since that point I tried every combination that I could think off, with wipes and I've flashed even just the rom, between wipes, and still, nothing.
I'm thinking that safestrap is not being able to write on the partition, or something like that, but I don't know how to solve it.
Any Ideas?
EDIT: I checked with a root explorer on /preinstall ( which I understand is the /system folder for the safe system ) and all the data seems to be there, but it's just not booting. Which makes me even more confused
I Have created a CM7 rom for rooted 621 and it should a lot easier to use now that I have tested personally and everything works as it should no need for gapps as it has vendor.apk in it and it will update to playstore.
Flashing Instructions
1:Back-up always
2:full wipe
3:install rom via CWR or bootstrap

5: reboot
6: leave me feedback

Update:
First I tried it without gapps. Everything booted fine, but there was no market nor would accounts/ sync let me add Google account.
So, I rebooted into recovery, which worked fine, and flashed gapps.
This time on boot, I actually got the Droid X welcome screen, was able to put in Google info, and market initiator ran and updated.
After that everything worked fine.
Tested Bluetooth, Messages, Gps and Calls. Didn't get chance to try Wifi yet, but I'm sure it works since everything-else does.
The only thing that Would be better is an updated Superuser. The 1 included will NOT update SU Binary. I think it's the old edify binary. Even by updating Superuser in the market WON'T help. Although an easy fix is to get RootUninstaller and uninstall Rom Superuser, then download new 1 from the market and install.
Keep up the hard work. Nice Rom.
Finally, does this works for any other gb kernel besides .621?
Anybody please tell us!
Nope, but maybe yes

Nope, but I may have a bad download as I forgot to check the Md5 sum before I flashed. Install was aborted. I can't try again right now because I have another phone to flash and have to go to bed early tonight.
And thank your for the review I've been waiting for a review like that I've created a couple roms and no one has have gave me so much input

No prob Kiladar. I think if someone is going to comment on someones work, they should at least review it and be as informative as possible. It makes it easier
on the devs to look at potential probs/fixes too.
Oh yea, I also got to looking into your system/app folder in your zip. The vending.apk is Not in there, which i would say is why I had to flash the gapps. Just wanted you to know.
Also there is no "boot.img" (which is kernel right?) in the new dwnload.
Right, I will update OP saying to flash gapps rather then say not needed

Downloading Now. I just hope it's for the rooted .621 Non-Milestone hack. The Milestone hack (for root) is .604.

Update:
First I tried it without gapps. Everything booted fine, but there was no market nor would accounts/ sync let me add Google account.
So, I rebooted into recovery, which worked fine, and flashed gapps.

wifi works just fine with it, and I agree bout the updated superuser since you cant uninstall the one you have with it which means you also cant update to the new superuser because they are different volumes but over all nice ROM.:good:

I had it working on mine but my .605 was the .621/.605 deodexed hacked version cause I was on the .621 before I did the work around on the magic 5 route, originally I did the .604 work around but it should work on the .605 stock rooted, but then again I was also running the kernel for the .621 sooooo if the kernel is the key for running it maybe you cant.
Try another download, maybe you did get a bad DL

I tried this again but, I think the real problem is with my microSD card. I have subsequently tried to flash other roms and have had other aborts as well. I know that the md5's on those checked out. I was able to flash a cm9 based rom and got it set up just fine. All this from the same card on the same phone. Sooo I am attempting to format the card just in case I have bad sectors or something.
Luckily my DX is no longer activated and just keeps me from killing my SGS3 with flashes.:silly:

I hear ya, I had the same prob with sd card so i formatted mine as well, problem was still there though. whenever i tried to install a rom from sd card via rom manager the problem was i kept getting the message saying waiting for sd cart to mount then it would say error bla bla bla sending log file to cwm ect ect ect.... i dont know exactally how i fixed that, all i know is i installed another rom, like cm7 or cm9 for instance and after that whenever i went to back up rom it worked fine ever since.... maybe something flashes over correcting the sd card problem when you install a rom... I know rom manager checks to verify the marker on sd card and thats what your problem is I believe.
Try doing this, try installing a rom cm7/cm9 without making a backup (i know you could lose everything if it fails but its the only way i know that fixed mine) after you have installed cm7/9 go to rom manager and hit the Backup Current Rom it should reboot you to cwm recovery and make an auto backup, if it does this without throwing up the waiting for sd card to mount error stuff and it runs the backup program and then reboots you it should fix your sd card problems.....
Review this rom
this is by far a ROM with the least lag by far i tried liquid ICS and plenty others don't know what it is but the lag is really minimal runs really smooth i only have this for like 3 hours but will update soon
pls hit thanks if i helped
