Pictures stuck in Gallery - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there, I got 2 albums with 1 picture in each of them stuck in the Gallery and I can't get rid of them. I even wiped everything and installed the ROM again, I tried looking for the files with Astro, I couldn't find those damn pictures. And if I long-press I don't have a delete button.
Here is a picture of what those two look like : http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/2705/screenshotdm.png
What should I do ?
Thanks in advance.

those look like Picasa album.
Go into Settings>Accounts and Sync> un tick the Picasa Sync for which ever account you have Picasa sync with.

Hah, that worked ! I never thought about that.
Thanks very buch bro !

Picasa web albums stopped Syncing

For some reason today I had NO picasa web albums in my gallery. So I went into 'accounts & sync settings' mand clicked the 'sync picasa web albums' and it flashes for under a second with no error. I then check my gallery and there are still no picasa web albums. I tried a restart of the phone but that didn't help.
Anybody able to help me ?
Thanks
I had the same problem on stock ROM, but works flawless on CM7.

i had the sme problem. But i downloaded picasa tool from market and from there i synced it. After that, everything works perfectly.
I can use justpictires! To sync and view just like you can in picasatool. But I want them in my gallery not yet another picture viewer. Thanks for the help, at least it shows it's is androids own sync and not google picasa synce problem.

yes, after that u can look at the stock gallery and it shows the whole album of picasa, internal n external album. I don't use picasatool except for uploading pictures. Same as you, i use phone's stock gallery.
Have you tried clearing the data for your gallery under 'Manage Applications'?
One of my colleagues had a similar problem with calendar sync and she got it working after clearing the data.

Tried clearing the data of gallery, and still have NO picasa albums after installing and syncing picasa tool, Picasa tool shows my picasa web albums much like justpictures does, But I still don't see them in my gallery anymore
is there a setting in picasa tool i should be setting to make my gallery sync ?
I have similar problem. I tried clear all data for "Web album Picasa" and also for "Gallery" and now i have on Picasa tab only button for Adding Picasa account. But i have already Picasa under Google Sync Account. I'm able to sync Picasa. But still under Picasa tab see only this button. I tried click on this button and add my account again, but this isn't allowed, because i have already this Google account registered in my phone. That's terrible :-(

any way to organize photos in the instant upload album into other albums?

Okay this is driving me crazy. All my photos are synced to my nexus from my phone and Google plus. The problem is that all of my photos that come from my phone are under the same album called instant upload. I want to separate them into different albums and still have them sync across all my devices. I tried doing it through the phone and through Google plus but nothing works...
Is this possible?
Bump anyone?

Not sure if I completely understand, but you can add instant uploads to created albums in Google+ (on the the web) and they will sync through picasa and show up in your gallery. If you want to do it on your phone/tablet just upload the images to picasa. Make sense?

I do this all the time... from my computer.
Log into Picasaweb site, browse to the Instant Upload folder, click organize, select the photos you want to move, then move them to a new album.
You can probably do it from your tablet if you force the desktop version of Picasaweb, but that would be a pain in the neck for me... I am in from of my computer all day, so I just organize my instant upload folder once a week or so when I have a few spare minutes.
This is the way
Hello,
This is how I do.
1) Go to google+ > Photos > Instant Upload
2) Select the photos you want to move to an album, click on "add to album" on the right up.
3) Although they are in albums, they'll still show up in instant upload. To remove them go to picasaweb > Instant Upload folder. Click Organize, select all photos and delete. This will delete them from instant upload in google+, but they'll stay in albums.
Still, maybe try with 1-2 photo first, and proceed for all if works.
Been using droidiris as a gallery app and oh is it impressive on the N7. Puts all my travel images in the order they were taken in a user interface that really highlights my work.

Can you do this from N7 g+ app? There's no "add to album" option on the right up. The only option is "delete photo."

Picasa problem

guys im using picasa to sync some of my favourite photos (taken with my actual camera) to my phone
annoyingly though, the albums are synced in some seemingly random order which is really annoying as there are 30 of them right now and that number will only get bigger.
does anyone else use Picasa in the album on their phone and can suggest a fix?

fixed my own problem
for anyone who has same problem in future, it seems the htc gallery syncs picasa albums by when they were last UPDATED, and not when they were CREATED.
i guess it makes sense for those who have albums that they are constantly updating, but for me i make an album for an "event" and then thats it, so it doesnt work for me.
anyway - the fix was simply to go to picasa web albums and "update" your albums in the order you want them to appear in - so for me i updated the oldest first right through to the newest. the update can be "nothing" - just go to album properties, open it then save without making a change and it will still register as updated.
htc should give the option regarding which kind of sorting you want but oh well.
Thanks for the info !
Btw i have another problem with Picasa : i can't play any videos as there is no "play button" on them, they are only displayed as pictures...
Any advice ?
I can't even get picasa to work within the gallery. Maybe because I am on Google Apps account instead of a regular gmail account?

If you haven't figured it out already, first use the main menu, "Add online service", select Picasa. That'll open up the Google Accounts page, make sure Picasa is set to sync, then hit back button.
From there, you need to click on "My photos" and then on the left drop-down menu, select Albums, then you should get the option of picking Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and pictures on your phone. If you use the menu from the My Photos page, you can turn off services you don't want (I don't Facebook, I don't Flickr, for instance).

Remove facebook photos from gallery

So I'm switching from the Galaxy S3 and I want to know is there a way to remove facebook photos from
your gallery without signing out of facebook? I've tried to disable sync and other things but nothing seems to work.
Right now I just logged out of facebook for the moment oh and hopefully there's a way to do it without rooting, want
to enjoy the phone a little while before I root.
Thanks in advance ...
Not sure. But in the fb options there's a setting to disable syncing photos contacts and something else. Maybe just disabling sync isn't enough try to find the sync photos and disable that. Best I can do sorry if it doesn't help

For the record, the phone cannot be enjoyed until rooted
Remove Facebook for HTC sense with titanium and your done, not sure what ill effects it has. the share link still works in the gallery
Ive never been a huge fan of the HTC gallery. I have an app called QuickPic and its works great. by far the best gallery app i have used

How to eradicate picasa?

I have picasa web albums set to never sync through gallery and settings>accounts, Google photos is removed, drive set to never sync photos, and still when an app wants me to upload a picture my old picasa photos fill up the selection screen. Is there a way I can disable that or is it just a curse of android?

Iv a weird thing going on with picasa. It shows on my home screen as picasa but when I check out the app info from within app management it shows as Google+ and it shows the same data as cache etc for it.
The weird thing is I'm pretty sure I disabled or hid picasa but after stock root it popped back up on my unhidden apps list. Any ideas?

first in settings, check for the apps and disable the ones you dont want... it will say disabled to the right of it.
second, i have been using an app from the playstore called nobloat free version and then i disable the bloat this way also...
but i acutally go to the system/app and system/priv-app and delete the unnecessary files (bloat ware or apps that I can get from the playstore, cause i have on TB or MyBackup, then for the missing or remainder of the files I find out with nobloat the other file names and then delete the files also.
This way I make a nice clean Stock Debloated Version with TWRP. and save that for when ever I want to start clean..
There's an easy way to disable through settings but I forgot and have been too lazy to look it up again. You should be able to find with a little Google investigating. When you find it, please share with the rest of us lazy bums.
