Who here has bought the extended battery but not using it?
Not even once....
I used it once. Stock battery has been getting me through the day just fine. I'm glad I have it though. It will come in handy for those times when I know I will be out and about, using it heavy, and won't be able to charge it.

Well, I've charged it but never brought it down past 80%. I just don't like that there's no case other than the shell/holster that fits the extended battery. I really like having a case (especially the TPU ones) so I won't use the extended until I have a case OTHER than the shell/holster.
I was going to get the extended battery but then my first full normal use day went like this.... took off charger at 8:00am. The next time it saw a charger was 1:00am. It had 30% battery.
After having the Thunderbolt I have been amazed with the battery life.

It is not needed, I've been getting 30+ hrs with light to normal use and about 20 hrs with moderate use.
I love my extended battery. Web/text/downloads last me all day long and a half. Light use maybe two days
At first I charged it all night and it stayed at 30% . Then later on I unplug it plug it then unplug and plug it. Then it started charging.
Anyways im very please with it and I know others are also.

i love my extended batt. i got bought a extra regular batt when i got my phone. i went through 3 batts that day and everyday after that. i am a heavy user of my phones. i can at least make it through the day now with the extended batt. i also like the fact that all the accesories fit with the case holster and the extended batt.

I agree 100%. I'm very careful with my phone, but since I have the extended battery and no proper case for it, there's no way I'm gonna be using it while I'm out and about. I'd rather worry about my next charge as opposed to possibly scratching my $589 retail priced phone...

I picked up the SafPWR Fusion 2 case today from AT&T. My usage so far hasn't been wearing the battery out, but it is an 1800ma case that goes with the original 1600. So that should be enough power to sync everything like a madman, and screen at 100%. lol
Will update after a couple of days to let you know what it is like.
can you post pics of it on your phone.. curious to see how much extra it adds to it.

Yuck... I didn't know it was that thick.
It isn't twice as thick, but it is pretty damn thick.
It is heavy, I can tell you that (with the phone). Without the phone you think, hey this isn't to heavy. LOL.
Still deciding if I am going to keep it.
I have been using this case since I bought my vivid over a month ago. It definitely adds some bulk to it, but it also does a good job protecting the Phone. It doesn't look/ feel like it would be very useful as drop protection, but I have dropped the phone multiple times on hard surfaces (I am 6'3") and the case has taken all the damage.
As for the 1800mah battery in the case, I have been less than satisfied. I almost feel that it was a typo and should have said 800mah. When my phone hits under 20% I turn the case on, if I am not using the phone at all while the case charges it, I can get it from 20, to about 80-90% before the case runs out of juice. If I am using the phone moderately while the case charges it, I am lucky to see a 30% improvement before the case goes dead 1-2 hours later.
I will say though, that if I let it charge from the case in my pocket, and do not use the phone, it DOES charge pretty fast from 20 to 80-ish percent.
If I want to use MHL, I have to remove the phone from the case, but I believe it works for data sync, etc in the case.
I plan on continuing to use this case as it hasn't let me down yet, and the extra battery life (though not 1800mah worth) is definitely a life saver.
Just my short review. Hope it helps!

I was worried about this. I am trying to figure out if I am going to keep it. I really like the way the Speck case looks, and that is what I was going to get. I ended up getting the battery case, and the one that looks like a tire with a leather back. They had the otter, but I just didn't like it. But I can never make up my mind with cases and phones lol.
Well, I just boxed it back up. I had it on the charger for like three hour and the phone wasn't fully charged and neither was the case. Case was only half charged. DO you have to charge them separately? Or can you charge both the phone and the case at the same time.
I have this case. If you let the phone and battery case die you have to charge them separately. ( the actual inst. Booklet that came with it tells you.) as far as feel the phone itself is to me a little too thin. The case feels great after the first couple days. I will say this they give you an extra top piece wherd the earphone jack goes for a reason. Mine broke the first week so be careful!

I would too. I recently ordered the OtterBox Defender. I think I would rather have the protection over the extra battery life though. I already had to get the phone repaired after it fell out of my pocket while I was jogging...
I got this case also, too heavy and thick for my liking. It barely made it through half a day. I can do without

I just bought the Safepwr today from the Local AT&T store for $50. I love it, my inspire had the PowerSkin and this is so much better. Usualy by this time tonight, I have my phone on the charger, it is still fully charged with only half gone off the Safepwr. This alone is giving me twice the battery life.
Just fyi,
I hated the feel of the Vivid compared to the inspire, Long and very hard for me to use the keyboard, with this case it feels real good.
Initially, you have to charge the case with out the phone inserted. Mine took about 4 hours. Make sure that the phone is fully charged. It works great. The case continuously charges the phone. The phone charge icon comes on, when the phone is below full charge. I understand that it is thicker than the phone alone, but you are pretty much adding another battery.

I bought this case for my Vivid on eBay for 15$. I thought it might be a knockoff, but so far everything looks legit. I've yet to try it because this came in before the Vivid (still waiting for my phone to be delivered )
Btw I know this is an OLD topic but just wanted to add my 2 cents in case anyone else is thinking about the case. From what I've read it seems there's a specific way to use the case to get the most out of it.
Will post back for the sake of anyone interested
So I have the otterbox defender case on my phone and i love it but ive always wanted to use an extended battery. now id rather "not" have to take my case on and off a lot so separate swappable batter's are out of the question and i know they have a 3300Mhz but it comes with a separate back and wont fit in my otterbox as far as i know so what are my options on battery's? Also if you could post pictures or links to what your talking about
Either or, you can't use both together. Extended battery plus cheap silicone case with the back cut out. Actually doesn't look bad at all. (That's my configuration)

Got to choose one or the other. Extended battery with no otter box or just an otter box.

You could try out the andida 2000mah. They offer a little bit more juice than the stock battery and are the same size. For me they give me around an extra 2hrs for a regular day. The 3500mah battery I have is awesome and lasts alot longer but I just didn't feel as comfortable with the protection I had on my phone with the back cut out of a case. It looked ok and felt fine in my hand and talking and using it, but I didn't feel to safe if I dropped it.

It charges to 100% fine for me. The % reading seems a little off sometimes but I found that on the stock battery too with ICS. When I got the battery it came with instructions to cycle it 4 times (down to around 0 and charge for 10 hrs) before charging it for normal use. I kept my stock battery handy for the first 2 days, after the 2nd charge is started to see it get around what the stock battery got, but my first day with it was brutal... barely got 6 hours out of it but luckily it got alot better.
How long do you get on battery life with the 2000mah battery and with the stock? I only get about 6-8 hrs of battery life with the stock one. Yes i do use my phone alot.

I use mine a lot also, and I ended up with an extended 3400mah. You can find even up to 3600mah for under $15-$20, I know it looks bulkier but I can't go back to stock battery nomore, the investment totally worth for me.
From what I've read ('cause I also was interested in the 2000mah one) the difference between it and the stock one is'nt much, their times (talk, screen, standby) are similar. I use to get the same as you, about 6-8 hours of use daily, now I get at least 14-16 with the same usage, if not more.

Yeah it was, but it finally made it to 100%, so i am letting my phone battery get really low then i'll use the powerskin to charge it then see how long it takes to charge the powerskin the next time.
The main reason i got the powerskin was to save my charger port, i have been paranoid that it's going to break because it feels loose when i stick my charger in sometimes.
The battery in the powerskin is a backup that i'll hardly ever need and if i keep my ritual of charging my phone while sleeping... keeping the powerskin full wont be an issue .. even with insane recharge time.
My power cord is super loose too, but if I try it with samsung/nokia cord, its perfect.
So make sure its not cord problem.
I can't wait to hear how well this case works. I can drain my battery pretty quick and this is the quickest way for me to keep this phone going. Once you get some testing done I'd love to see the results.

Well the first charge took liker 24 hours when it was full i had my phone at 35% and used the case battery to see how much it would charge my phone.... it charged my phone 40% pretty fast and then was totally dead.
The second charge didn't take 24 hours.. i think it took like 6 hours maybe ,i was asleep so i cant be sure.
So basically the battery in the case is like a backup or last resort.. I turn it on if i really need that 40% otherwise i keep the case battery off and charge my phone through the case at the end of the day.

Thats good for me because for some reason I always get to the end of the work day look at my battery and realize holy cow I've used up almost my whole battery. A quick speed charge to keep it going in case I have to stop at the store or pick up food I don't have to fear my phone dying. Normally I keep a car charger in my car but that ones in the shop, with my charger >.<. Thanks for the great info keep me posted on everything about it, I'd love to know more about it cause user reviews are better than "professional" reviews
Well like i said before i mainly got the powerskin because it plugs into the charger port and basically makes a new charger port..it saves/protects the phones charger port.
I have a 7k mah powerbank but my batterylife on cm10.3 is really good and i don't play games or surf the net or do much of anything on my phone so battery isn't an issue for me.
There are keychain powerbanks and such that probably would be better then getting the case just for a little extra power.
As for the case design and weight, it makes the phone a little heavy and bulky but about the same as the case i used to use, i stopped using a case awhile back because i love how the phone feels in my hand without a case, so light and slim, but its worth it to save my charger port.
@souljaboy It might just be my charger not fitting right in my phone anymore but i feel safer using the powerskin.
I'll check out some powerbanks as well cause I use the hell out of this poor phone of mine and I might end up needing something maybe a little stronger. Any brands you may recommend?
I bought a 7k mah powerbank off ebay for $16
You can do the maxx mod too, it seems pretty decent.

I have had the ZeroLemon 8500mAh battery and case for a week now.
The day I received it, I charged it to 100% and left it on the charger for an additional 3 hours as the instructions say.
I have a moto 360 connected to this phone all the time, and used a set of Plantronics Backbeat GO 2 bluetooth earbuds about 4 hours per day.
The very first charge I went 4 days without charging and ended up with 9.5 hours screen on time.
I left the brightness on 100% and had 2 email accounts on push as well as the usual Facebook, weather and other apps syncing.
I use my phone for both work and personal use so it had some heavy use.
I have been going 2 days now on the second charge and it sits at 78%.
As for the size of the case on the phone. It honestly is much smaller than I was expecting.
You can look at the pictures I have attached and see it is no bigger than an OtterBox Defender, it is just more square and not rounded.
The case does look like it would protect from small drops (desk height) and scuffs.
The front does sit a bit above the glass to keep the glass from ever touching anything when you set it down.
All of the openings and ports line up correctly and are big enough for normal use with no issues.
The speaker port is on the bottom of the phone instead of the back making for less muffled sounds when placed on a table.
The rear buttons are well placed and easy to use.
The case itself adds texture and does not feel near as slippery as the original backs.
Overall I would recommend this case to anyone who has to charge their phone throughout the day or who can benefit from multiple days between charges.
I can honestly say that the only (and this is minor) problem I found was the ports on the bottom of the phone allow dust ingress to the battery compartment.
Other than that, this is the perfect extended battery/case for your LG G4.
Case Dimension: 6.07" H x 3.15" W x 0.84" T
Case Weight with battery: 178g
Total Weight with phone, extended battery and case: 282.4g
10/10
I received this case in exchange for an honest review.
How long does it take to fully charge it? I don't think this battery support the Quick Charge 2.0 and I have noticed that it takes quite a while to charge the normal battery, sometimes up to 4 hours with a 5V 2.1A charger. I just ordered (had to) a Quick Charge 2.0 charger hoping I can reduce the total time to at least half that time.
I don't mind leaving it on an entire night every 4 days, but it kinds of worry me that if I ever get this it will take a huge time charing it.

It took mine about 3 hours to reach 100% and then the directions state to let it charge for an additional 3 hours after it hits 100% to be fully charged.
So about 6 hours. I do as you described, every 3 or 4 days, depending on usage, I will fully charge the battery.
No it does not seem to support quick charge.

Hey @Milimbar i thought about getting it because I'm basically out I the field working all day and I like to listen to iHeartRadio. My job can be very dirty and hard sometimes so I need a tough case . The other extended battery cases seeing very crappy protective wise. The zerolemon case seems very good in that respect. The only thing holding me back is the thickness. Would you say it is twice the thickness of the g4? Elaborate on the thickness please.

BADASS NOTE 5 & 4 & LG G4
My review- 4 out of 5
Rather than spam the accessories board with my own review I thought I would post mine here.
Incredible battery life (comparison to stock battery screenshots included). Minimal to moderate increase in thickness considering the battery rating (8500 mAh). It's actually not much bigger/thicker than an otterbox case (picture included). I honestly can't say enough about how great the battery life of my LG G4 is with this. Seriously I spent last Sunday trying my best to drain it in a day and couldn't, and the battery life has only gotten better over the first 4 full charge cycles (per zerolemon it takes 6 cycles to achieve max performance). Seriously after one day I wouldn't have recommended it (size and bulk with moderate battery gain), after two days it began to grow on me (as battery life improved), and now I will use this battery all the time (why stop gaming to swap batteries?). When I did nothing but play DS emulator games all day (almost 12 hrs) and still had 30+ percent left when the stock battery only managed just a bit over 4 hrs and was at 15% made me a believer in this battery (battery saver just kicked on but by the time I took a screenshot the battery showed 1% more - common when doing something that drains a battery quickly over a long period of time).
Recharge times aren't that bad- it's always at 100% when I wake up and sometimes that's been only after 6 hours. I haven't actually kept track of the recharge time but it's surely not 12 hours or anything ridiculous. I would bet it's in the 3-5 hour range.
So if it's so great, why only 4/5?
Well, for starters, I am constantly pressing the wrong button on the back of my phone. I don't think it would have been too difficult to add a little bump or something for finger orientation (a small speck of plastic on the power button would have been great). I'm pressing Vol + or Vol - when I want to press the power button, or pressing the power button when wanting something else - which I have resorted to actually turning the phone over and looking at the buttons first. I also don't think the case was designed for anything but to hold the battery to the back of the phone. Don't expect it to save your G4 if you drop it on concrete. The sides flex out a bit quite easily, so I would imagine that your phone will pop out of the case if dropped (likely removing the zerolemon battery in the process). So the battery is great, but the case could be better/more rigid/more refined (thus 4/5 for the case quality and lack of attention to detail in its design).
Size is substantial as I stated, and even though it was less than I expected, I was sad that my phone doesn't comfortably fit in my Moga Pro Power anymore. It's doable, but angled funny. Not a deal breaker.
One other thing to note is you will be without NFC using this battery. The NFC sticker is inside the factory back cover, so anyone who uses android pay/wallet will no longer be able to do so. I personally don't use NFC at all, so I won't miss anything.
Full disclosure: I received this item from ZeroLemon for free in exchange for an honest review of this item (thanks again ZeroLemon).

Mine doesn't have nfc.
I do not think mine has NFC either.
I will check when I get home, but there are no contacts on the battery to match up with the contacts on the phone for NFC.
I checked, and it defiantly does not have NFC on the battery I received.
That does not mean that they did not change it between when mine was made and what is currently for sale.
I doubt it though as they sent me this one to review. It is more probable that the listing is in error.

Case Dimension: 6.07X3.15X0.84 inches
So a little over 3/4" thick, just about twice as thick

weight in gms ?
anyone else want to answer this its an important question. How much weight does this thing add.
178G
Remember that does not mean it adds 178g.
You remove the original back and battery and replace them with the extended battery and case.
Rough guess the phone with the extended battery and case is a little over double the original weight.
First off let me say that I was provided this case free of charge for my honest review of the product. First off I'll list the pros and then the cons of the case
I also did a full video review here https://youtu.be/l0LRHzFdsVU
Pros:
More than double the battery life of stock
Well designed
Feels good in the hand
Cons:
Wireless charging doesn't work
Spen harder to remove
Bulky
Mines coming up as well.. Pros/cons are basically the same..
I have been using this case for several days now, and I can report that it is a very well made product. The case is surprisingly easy to slip onto the phone, but feels secure once in place. It adds bulk, but no more than my 2 piece heavy duty case that I had been using. The biggest difference is that it does add a bit of weight, although it is quite manageable. I normally take my phone off of the charger at 6:30a.m. and put it back on around 11p.m. with about 15% charge left. While using the Zerolemon battery pack I managed to make it from 6:30 in the morning on a Monday all the way until noon on Wednesday. A full 55.5 hours without plugging in! I may not use this case every single day with the added weight, but is definitely something that I will be using on travel days, and long weekends. It has more battery power, and the case offers significantly more protection than the much more expensive competition. I would definitely recommend this product to those that are looking for more power when you are not near an outlet.

What do you mean here? I couldn't charge to full from 20% myself.

If you leave the phone alone while it's charging with the case you can get to 100%. For example I only use this case when I work 17 hour shifts at work so if I get down to 15% just put the case on and leave it alone you can get to 100%.

Okay, I think I see what your saying. You can get the stock battery life again, you can double it. I was thinking double stock sounded like it was twice as powerful as the stock battery was all.
Mind you, I don't think mine would. Even accounting in for pretty heavy drain while it was charging, it wouldn't charge from 0 to full.
Does somebody know or has try it this battery fits to Note 3?
