I was a frequent user of Glympse on WinMo 6.5, now I want to install it on WP7 Mango, I search for it in Marketplace but it says it's not available for my device, when I search on my laptop it gives me a screen to download but it doesn't work. Is it not available yet for Mango? Will it ever be available? Does anyone have a xap?
Any similar application?

Hello i am new here and with a touch pro 2 i have heard alot about the windows market place. However i have not found a place to download it or get apps for my phone can anyone help me get the best of my phone.
I believe you access the marketplace by an app in your start menu. I haven't tried it, but I think that is where you go?

Yeah....HTC post a twit telling tha twitter is making some changes in the mobile stream......but not telling when that changes finish....
some twitter/apps returns with new system
The pocket twit and tweedle returns with a update who change the oauth new login/ security system there are some apps but the best apps like twikini not becouse twikini say win mo 5 , 6, and 6.x no more!!

Use also motweets and remember install in the main memory of your ppc because in the strorage memory dont work!!!
I was using the SPB Mobile Shell Twitter gadget, but it doesn't work anymore, can anyone confirm this?
When I try to set it up it says "connecting to Twitter" and then shows the SPB Software homepage.

Same here. I'd be able to switch my HD2 to Windows Phone 7 as my main OS once I have this. Not having a chat client that can communicate via AIM is the only thing that's holding me back from it.

Currently, with WinMo 6.5.5 I use Palringo. But I'm still waiting for a Windows Phone 7 version of either Palringo or IM+.
I wish MS would hurry up and release the update that allows sockets and multi-tasking. At that point WinMo 7 would be the bomb.
IM+ is available for WP, it has been for a while lol
Yeah, I forgot it's 2012... the thread is old
So, I use IM+ but it doesn't stay open in the background. This is one of the OS's downsides. I know AIM isn't used much, but the point is that it is still used. They need to make it available.

WP7 has not many classic windows features and is not realy windows like as we used many years ago. As I read, incoming updates will not contain basic windows components and it is wasting time to waiting updates.
Would be great if is possible to install WM 6.5 on HD7 so it will be realy power Pocket PC.

What is this answers like NO and BUY some other models. If you haven't answer than you don't posting like this.
If I knew that WP7 is not avdanced continuation (as expected) of WM 6.5 I didn't buy this phone altought has great thechnical specifications.
I read this forums and I saw I'm not alone affected by this problem.
I am familiar with pocket PC and using it many years ago. Now I have not file explorer, bluetooth file transfer, task manager, cannot create folder, download files from internet and save where you want. There are no software tool for digital compass even it is exist in technical specifications.
I just ask for solution without these limitations.

And when did MS say that any of these features were gonna be available in wp7???
yet another person who didn't do his homework, then doesn't understand when he gets flamed for it...
Unfortunately there isn't a solution. IMO i think the features you require will become available via apps before anybody ports wm6.5 over.
How come you didn't research the phone before buying may I ask? It's been well known since long before release throughout the XDA community that WP7 is definately not a continuation of WM6.5, i'm surprised you didn't know.
