Copy/paste - LG Thrill 4G

I can't remember but is this a feature of gingerbread? I am coming from an evo 4g and evo 3d running stock and cyanogen and I'm dying without true os wide copy/paste. Should we expect this is gingerbread?

I can copy and paste on stock on my thrill.......

Try it in Gmail.

And what I mean by that is press and hold then move the arrows to select exactly what you want to copy. Not like Gmail now where you can go to the menu and click select text and do one swoop hoping you've selected properly what you intended.

Miui options boxes

Is there a way to change the way options open up? Like when pressing menu in the browser, that box is extremely different from stock/cm6 and is hard to get used to but everything else about this rom is way cool.
Also where could I find the stock font to flash or push?

You may need to reinstall the ROM or kernel. Removing it like that could have broken something
i use this one for gingerbread so not sure about froyo. Also make sure you have a kernal that supports call recording. I have herd alot of people having issues with the GB kernals and getting this to work properly.
The link is broken. Is it possible you can re-upload it please.
Same link is no good.
Can anyone repost the link?

Thanks Denonlake, but I cant seem to find the setting to make it ask after every call. Is there something im missing? I appreciate you sending it my way.

I'm assuming the utkanos kernels do not support call recording?
I flashed this first one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025199
and ever since the call recording does not work on 1.8.6

If you hit menu when you have the APP open and select preferences. the option that needs to be clicked is Show dialog for delete the recording

Extended wifi range via hiddenmenu

Posted this in the o3d forum thought i would post here. Cause im canadian and i like my american neighbours. Eh!
Never seen any one post this tip so here is mine. The improvement was very noticeable. Discovered by me.
1. Use a different launcher that allows activites. (Launcher Pro) install.
2. Long press on homescreen click shortcut then goto activites.
3. Expand com.lge.hiddenmenu then click hiddenmenu, it should now be on homescreen.
4. Run hiddenmenu goto connectivity test. Uncheck power save. Lol.
Simple i know. But enjoy longer range and more power.

For sure about the toggle. I posted in o3d forum and its does not work for everyone. P920? V10k? So many things are different. All i know is it works on lg-p925g v10c. Let me know.

You can use this code to access that menu also: 3845#*920#
Is there a repository of these codes somewhere?

I prefer the "any cut" method. Download "any cut" from the market. Make a shortcut on your homescreen to hidden menu or connectivity test. I already have it straight to connectivity test for tethering anyway.

[Request] ics connectivity arrows

It would probably be a lot easier to modify the color or shade of the arrows. Are there any color schemes that work for you?
Hmm.. just a color more distinct from the blue of ics. I mean, I still want it to look good. But more stand outish. not navy blue, or purple, or gray. I think those would be hardest for me to see. And I'm not sure wwhat else would go well with it.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
Yeah, that kinda puts me in a tough spot. I don't necessarily have an eye for color coordination and I don't know if you're fully or partially colorblind and if certain colors may work better for you than others. I'll play around with a few things and see if something seems like it would work, starting with brighter hues since I get the impression that it's the lack of contrast that's bothering you the most. In the meantime, if you have an RGB or HEX color value you'd like, it'd make things a lot easier.
Nawh I don't /: but I get the feeling a white might work. Maybe a white with a slight hue.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I just inverted the color of the arrows to white and retained the transparency level of the original arrows. Hopefully this is of use for you.
So this is a dumb question, but how do I now install this

Since its not in a flashable zip you need to push it through adb or use a root file explorer to replace it.

Which command did you use? Push or install? If you used push, you may also need to clear your cache in case the APK signature doesn't match up with the one your current ROM is using, which would cause the problem you're experiencing. Which ROM are you using?
make sure you reboot your phone too
I moved it to system/app within my phone, rebooted, and my status bar was gone

3G/4G switch

Will there ever be a way to switch between 3G and 4G without a reboot on this phone? I just got my daughter the HTC Rezound and it has that capability. I like to switch to CDMA only to save battery when I don't need 4g speed.

Try this, from you dialing menu type *#*#4636#*#* this brings you to a testing screen. Go into the phone info menu and towards the bottom you can select from several signal types that take effect within a few seconds.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
When I type this and hit send it dials and says it cant be completed. Am I doing something wrong?
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA App
You shouldn't need to hit send. As soon as I enter the last "*" I am taken straight to the testing menu.
If this doesn't work there is an option in the Rezound's network settings.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
Yeah I can do it on the Rezound. I want to make the Revo do it.
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA App
I am unsure if the 4636 code doesn't work. I have read of people having com.android crashing trying to use it with the Revo
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
It would be nice if mt could work it into GV 1.4.
