[REQ] Help getting into themeing

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post.
I want to start themeing but I don't know where to start. Maybe someone could give me a brief tutorial? Right now I'd like to make a custom puzzle lockscreen and boot animation but eventually I want to make keyboard skins and full themes.

Yessirr! I was so stoked, didn't even bother to check its firmware version or look into it when I was playing with the little demo one at the Verizon store. Still glad I got it, but bummed about Samsung's sketchyness. Haha.

deathstar boot Animation

Ok I got bored and started playing with the deathstar.. Please be kind as it is a first attempt. Just drop into system/media screenshots to give you an idea what itll look like

be funny as hell if flames were spewing out of it.

Sounds like an interesting idea... once you get passed the no flames in space thing

tell it to lucas he had explosions and stuff

Not to nit pick or anything but as long as the fuel is supplied there can be flame in space. For instance.. deathstar full of air.
Edit: Just wouldnt last very long.

I feel you. I ended up doing that. Though honestly I probably wont be on there at all. I always ask for a dl first cuz I don't wanna waste bandwidth and database space making an account I'll prob never use, lol.

How would I continue to use this when say cm7 comes out or any other rom? Would I drop the animation.zip into /data/local or the contents of the animation

In cm7 it goes in /system/media but yes it works..

How do you restore the stock one? I did a backup,but when I try to restore using CWM it stops and I get a message saying,"error restoring system," and it stops the restoring process.

Beats the Red Eye
Easy as pie install and far more attractive that the evil red eye (that somehow makes me feel like Verizon is watching me.)

UT vols bootanimation

Looking for a bootanimation of UT football. I've searched here and other forums with no luck. I've found a splash screen of this is Tennessee. Awesome now hoping to complete this theme with a cool boot animation for my new and awesome thunderbolt. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

I made my own for my college team. Its a beer can that spins and the logos and mascot are on the cans with the name of the university with a chant. Will post it if you want to see it.

Put this in your bootanimation folder and reboot. It should work. The location is rom specific.

I thought someone might say that. Try out my themes, they all work. I'm not spamming, I get bored so I create themes for WidgetLocker. Just because I post a few themes in 1 day doesn't make me a spammer. It makes me a good theme creator.
