I have a nexus one with cm7 and wanted to know if there was any way to go back to stock android with ota updates
I had the same issue all you have to do is roll back to FRG83
Update to FRG83D
Then you can update back to stock 2.3.4 Gingerbread

Is there an easy way to revert back to stock from cyanogenmod 6.1? I would like to be able to update to gingerbread OTA.
Thanks guys
I have cyanogen mod 7.0 on my nexus one and I want to restore to its original ROM(Google ROM) also I installed rom manager on my phone ?
How can I do it ?
If I do it can I get latest update from Google?
Use the Nexus One Wiki http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik...des_&_Tutorials#Unroot_.2F_Restore_your_Nexus
or you can fastboot flash the N1 system images available at developer.htc.com
To be able to successfully update OTA directly from Google you will need to revert to stock recovery & GRI40
You don't need stock recovery for the OTA...
Why not just go and flash one of those vanila AOSP rom's? then you have almost the stock nexus feel but still keep the root and stuff like that.
Why you want to go back to stock anyways? is it just for OTA? cause those cumstum vanila roms are higher/newer version than what the OTA update would give you at the moment.
OK my A854 milestone is rooted with Androot can I unroot and accept the OTA FROYO 2.2 update customer I have never flashed a ROM yet I'm still at stock 2.1?
Sent from my A854
according to motorola, the a854 will remain on Android 2.1 so there will never be an official update for it
How to update the Nexus Android 2.2 Android 2.3? Need to unlock the bootloader?
I tried but could not update or pro 2.2.1. It says update error and aborted.
I ask for help.
You are probably on a carrier modded ROM try using the passimg method (see my sig) to get back to fully stock then the updates will come on their own.
I rooted all the way back on 4.2.2 1.11.707.1 and I have cwm now. All the old stock recovery links I could find are dead and the custom roms all seem to require updated stock to be able to flash them. How would I go about updating by ota?
