Hello,
I wanted to put a backup back on my phone, but something went wrong...
The phone hanged on the white SE logo... I removed the battery. but no luck. It still hangs on the white logo over and over again...
What can i do?
Allready thanks.

Hello
i found some instructions to hard reset the phone:
If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
Turn the power off. If your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Left and right buttons located beneath the display
Press and release the Power button
Follow the on-screen instructions to hard reset
Click to collapse
i tried this with holding the buttons for more than a minute but nothing happened...
The moment i released both buttons, the SE logo appears, but the phone hangs again...
anyone an idea?
tx!

so i think i bricked my phone...
I have read this in the 'bootloader unlocked' topic:
Please remind people that if the bootloader gets f**ed up somehow in the process, the phone gets bricked, truly bricked, with no way to unbrick unless it's sent to SE or if you can connect it to the computer tru jtag/service header.
Click to collapse
What is jtag/service header?
grz.

Try to reinstall firmware with SEUS or FlashTool
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12442257

Thanks!
But i tried, without luck. I posted in that topic.

EDIT: Tx for the great program! It did its job!
I'm back on the SE interface.
Next step, root + CRom

You may need to recover your device through odin, but 1st you should be sure that its going into download mode. To check it you may follow the steps below:
1. Take out the battery & put it back
2. Press the vol up & down button together
3. Now connect phone to PC via usb cable while keeping the vol buttons pressed.
The screen shall turn on and show downloading. If this is working then there is a fair chance to recover your phone.
I will shortly post a link to recovery steps.

Xperia Z won't turn on!

So my phone will not longer boot. It started like this: all of a sudden it wouldn't work properly when in a phone call, I could hear the other person but they wouldn't hear me. So I just turned off my phone and when I tried to turn it back on the triangle icon wth wrench and screwdriver appeared as seen in the image below (I had around 40% battery). I left it like that for almost an hour and since it wouldn't turn back on I did the power+volume up but it would load back on to the triangle. Then I removed the micro sd and power+volume up and it loaded the sony logo, then the xperia logo, then this sony colored waves/smoke started and the 3rd time this "wave" crossed the screen, it just froze and began a never ending loop of sony+xperia+waves+restart... over and over again :S It stopped only after long pressing power button + volume up. I tried pluggin it on my pc and starting the Sony PC companion but doesnt recognizes the phone. I read in another post that they fixed this issue by connecting the phone to the PC and launching sony's pc updater. But I don't know what's this "sony pc updater" thing, if they mean PC companion Ive tried it out and doesnt work for me.
Thx in advance for any help! (btw, my xperia z is with the latest update installed)

Possible Solution :
Install the STOCK ftf file of Xperia Z into Your Phone Using Flashmode.
What You will need is
1. Flashtool
2. Ftf file for Xperia Z (Download the ftf from your device thread)
Flash The ROM ftf file.
You should be running the phone by the time you finish.
I fixed it!!

I finally fixed it!!
As dwarkesh2492 said (thx a lot by the way), all I did was download a stock rom (I found the italian unbranded version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293794) and flashed it with flashtool beta 6 ( tutorial on how to do it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614). At first it wouldn't start flashing but I tried several times plugging and unplugging my phone while holding volume down and it finally flashed It was the 1st time I ever flashed a ROM or anything so I'm sure anyone can do it.
I hope it helped.

I had this yesterday, try the power button for about 15 seconds or the above method of power and volume up
If you see the screen in the attached image, then just wait for it to finish working, which the bar at the bottom shows it's doing.

What method exactly worked for you?
I'm having the same triangle screen, I interrupted it by pressing vol up + down + power, and after that it just showed the Sony logo. The battery died and when I try to charge it now, the only sign of life is the red LED and "SONY". I won't go into flashmode (yet) so flashtool is not an option. I'll try to charge it whole night (am in the Netherlands) and try flashtool again tomorrow.
Btw. I am on RomAUR which is nearly stock .253 and this means I have root too. Locked BL. The problem appeared after rebooting the phone because I suddenly didn't mount the external SD.
Any help appreciated, thanks!!

Is it stuck at the white HTC splash screen that says quietly brilliant or the boot up animation screen that has the beats logo on it?
If stuck at the splash screen just hold power and both volume keys to force a reboot and see if it boots up then. If it is stuck during the boot animation you may have to try a factory reset.
You may still be able to do a factory reset depending on where the update failed.
Hold power and Vol down for until it boots into the bootloader. Then press the power button again to select bootloader. In the bootloader list you should see factory rest, use volume keys to highlight it and power to select it.
This will wipe all your data you had saved on the internal storage, but that would be better than a non booting phone.
Best of luck.

Yes, a proper RUU should be able to reset you to 100% stock if your weren't rooted or S-Off.

Crushalot I have a similar issue with my HTC one like xiang5377. Except my phone is stock no root nothing, actually it was given to me to root. It has been a long time since I have rooted a phone and im lost here. My friend got the phone online which might have been his first mistake, second I believe it was from China. In any case lt me explain what has gone on, I have been looking for instructions in unlocking bootloader in fastboot mode which is not an issue, I found it but I am unable to get to the bootloader by pressing power key and VOL down.....strange so I looked under settings to turn off fastboot and the option wasn't there at all. When I press VOl down and power key it goes to some strange looking menue in Chinese REALY! OK so I searched Google and fopund a post that suggested it might be a fake. So I tried VOL up and power key and it took me another strange looking screen. I actually had the option for "normal" "fastboot" and something else:fingers-crossed: Nothin stayed at that same screen for ever....so I pressed VOl down and power and it reset. I went back to that screen gain picked the one option should not have and now im stuck at htc quietly brilliant sceen:crying: I have tried all kinds of key options and still nothing NED HELP!! I am unsure if the phone is internal sprint T-Mobile etc... 100% stock.

Might need some screen shots. It sounds like it may be a fake HTC One. Can you look at the bootloader screen on this fake and see if yours is similar:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362301
Or look here:
http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/14/fake-htc-one-plastic-mt6589/
If it is one the fakes then I'm not sure what to advise other than trying to return it and get a genuine unit.
If it is real then we might be able to do something. Are you able to reboot it by holding both volumes (up and down) plus the power buttons for 15+ seconds? It should cause it to reboot.

NO joy on reboot. I looked at that video and it seems to be the fake one, might explain why I wasn't able to get to the bootloader normally. This sucks now I will have to explain to my lieutenant that he got a fake one and I might have bricked it lol! What would you try next if it were real, or will I have to wait till it dies and still run the risk of it not booting up normally again. I was never able to get to normal bootloader.
---------- Post added at 04:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:45 PM ----------
Also looking at the video, it had the same black menu not the white menu I have seen in other videos, indicating a newer OS. It also did not show fastboot option under settings/power option
http://imageupload.co.uk/files/36ha7p8hdv926l90b0l6.jpg
On the pic above I actually clicked on: [UART Boot] option and im stuck
If it was real, it would respond to the normal reboot commands and allow us to reboot the OS if working or boot to fastboot so we can use fastboot commands to see exactly what we were working with and decide the next move.
In you case, you may just have to wait until the battery dies and then perhaps it will boot normally, as it seems the clones don't have the same button commands to perform operations. You could try different combinations of button holding to see if it will reboot.
There may also be some more information on the Chinese forums, but could be hard for a English speaker to navigate and fin the info needed.
If the seller sold the device as a genuine HTC One then, obviously that is illegal and you could try to use that angle to force them to return it.
Best of luck.

Thanks I really do appreciate it, I have attempted several button configs lol and still nothing. Looks like I have no choice but to wait till it dies and pray that it boots normally. Model: C3506
Build: 12.0.A.1.284
Locked bootloader
I used Doomlord method to root the phone.(worked)
Installed CMW(worked)
Went In recovery mode, full wipe, wipe dalvik cache and rebooted the phone.
After that I dropped trinity vengeance zip file into x sp sd using my computer.
Went back to recovery, installed the zip file, went through the installer, everything worked fine, rebooted ...
then I was stuck at sony logo :crying:
Trying to use flashboot or sony companion pc to repair my phone but I need to turn it off but it wont
even force turn off wont work(opening the back and pressing the thing) it just reboot everytime after 5 seconds
When I connect it to my pc it just charges and boot when it got enough juice
Any idea on how to fix my phone?
Thanx
you have to hold the button (inside cover one) for about 3 to 4 seconds to turn it off. it always works for me.

Turn the phone off on the back, Set up flash tool first, select correct ftf file then select flash, at this point flashtool should show picture of how phone and green arrow. Plug usb into phone, then hold volume down and plug usb into pc. Flashtool should then flash ftf. Hope this helps.
Ok fixed thanx, just had to reboot with back button, then hold volume down and when the green light appears I release the volume down button
and it flash the trt file in it

Continous booting after unlocking bootlooader

Hi all hope some one can help me here.
Unlocked the bootloader and all went ok (or so it seemed). When I now power on phone it goes into a loop of the Sony logo, Xperia logo, wallpaper and black screen.
I can turn it all off by holding the vol up button and power off button and wait for 3 x vibrates.
I can also get it into fastboot mode (blue led), but unsure about the best way to deal with this.
Any help appreciated.

My god.... I did the same damn thing today.... Same issue, goes into bootanimation for 1-2 seconds and reboots... [really hoped someone answered]
I have tried to reflash the stock rom via Flash Tool and no luck... I'm now trying the repair option in Sony Pc Companion/update service.... I'll let you know if that one was a winner....
I have also tried relocking the bootloader and reflashed the rom and still no luck. I hope Sony Update service will help, if not i'll try Emma update service.....

My goal was to restore the DRM keys... unlocking the bootloader will surely make camera take awful pictures in low light. Unlocking the bootloader usually wipes those DRM keys - some of them control the advanced camera functions like noise reduction. Trust me... It will downgrade the camera quality to a 2005 phone. There is a fix in a related thread. But even with the fix, Xperia ZR takes better pictures and its bootloader locked... I have both and Xperia Z used to take way better pics.

You go to Support Zone, Phone/Tablet Software Update, and then Click on Repair my Phone/Tablet. That's all. It will ask you for model number and after, a long download will start.
Finally solved, re downloaded the zip files and opened with a different unzipping software and all ok now
