Is there an LTE on/off widget to add to the home screen?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
I wish would be very convenient.
This is also on my wish list. I can practically watch my battery drain with 4G on.
I use this. Its not as convenient as a widget but its a quick shortcut to the LTE setting.

Which ROM? As far as I know the stock ROM, even with the Enhancement Pack does nt support WiFi Location.
If I am wrong, please enlighten me.
I miss the power widget that was packaged in the original loader, it's not worth going back just for the widget. What are your favorites?

What's wrong with the power widget in the pull down notification bar? I still have that after flashing the decrapped rom, and I love it.

Gotcha - the only widget I used on my Moto Droid was the stock Android 2.2 widget, so the notification bar widget is enough for my needs - it's basically the same thing only in a more convenient place
I'll take a look at the droid built in app. Thanks Ben. What I'm missing is the grouped switches on one widget. That and to be able to turn off sync without digging in settings.

I use "Free Power Widget"...im just trying it out, but will probably pay for the full version as I think its pretty good and customizeable...So far so good.
Just tried Extended Controls and Widgetsolid but both have broken functions e.g. gps and sync.

The idea of using another launcher on the gear, really makes it worthwhile.
Those of you who are using a different launcher, what are some of the widgets you are using?

I'm sorry to ask such a basic question...but once you have Pie or UDN installed how do you lock the UCCW widget? Is it in the UCCW app or is it on the homescreen when you're looking at the widget? I really appreciate everyone's help!
I have 2 different screens set up in Nova and I change between them depending on if I'm at work or not. The one I use at work has Simple Calendar widget to show me my schedule as well as the time above it using Minimalistic Text widget.
The one I use when not at work is more minimal/stylish and just has a battery bar up the top and time in the middle. Both are Minimalistic Text widgets.
I also use LMT to give me a menu, home and back button when I swipe up from the bottom edge. I set the swipe zone to 1 pixel so you can't see it and you don't accidentally tap it when tapping icons in the dock.
I also set up the home button to toggle the dock in Nova. Before I did that, I found I would often accidentally turn the watch on with a motion and tap one of the dock icons if I was standing with my hands behind my back or arms crossed or something.

How do you get the Minimalistic Text widget setup on your Gear? I created a widget on my phone, then exported it, then moved it to my Gear, but can't get Minimalistic Text on my Gear to recognize it. Can't figure out how to her to the menu to Import it.
Any help appreciated.

I think you have to create/add a widget on your home screen first, then go into the Minimalistic Text preferences from the app drawer.
Select the widget you created, then from the menu options select import.

Using this, and yes the entire thing is a widget.

Thanks. Problem was, because of the theme I'm using, I couldn't see the Menu or Save buttons. Just started poking around and finally found them. All is well now.

i have lumos as well but the way you coupled it with the cityscape makes the icon shadows even more relevant. brilliant. any reason to get nova prime? it adds motion sensors and screen actions but i'm happy with just using the ones already on the S5

to be honest regarding Prime, I'm not really sure what it adds. I purchased that many years ago so I just am used to having it. I do use a gesture to swipe up on the app drawer icon in order to launch Google Now.
Here's an update, I changed my Desktop Grid to be 8 rows by 5 columns so I could do a 3x3 grid in the middle...
EDIT: I also found a font I really like in the Play Store... called Husser in the "Neat Fonts" package

yea i have my Google Now launching when i press the Home button when it's already on the home screen, i love nova it's so good. yea i don't see the benefit of Prime so i'll just stick to free
As far as I can tell, the only benefit with prime (for my needs) are the app drawer additions, such as hiding apps, tabs, tab groups, etc...and maybe icon size. I haven't upgraded to Prime yet, but seriously considering it just for those features.
I constantly use nova prime. Mostly with the swipe gestures to open apps or for dialing shortcuts.

Prime is well worth it in my opinion, especially for the gestures alone. I see myself using the feature all the time, for example I have the "Double Tap" set to the status bar; so when I double tap my screen the status bar dissapears/or reappears. Helps a lot with screen space (that status bar can be annoying).
The icon size is great if you're looking for something less in size, I tend to think the stock icon size is a bit over whelming.

Thanks so much! Your setup looks great!
Still experimenting, but here's what I've done so far:
And here's my battery stats:
Absolutely loving the battery life on this phone.
Have they done away with the built-in Assistive Light widget? I've been Googling and searching and wailing and gnashing my teeth all to no avail. The widget was one of my favorite things about my S4 because it was so simple and fast. I despise the 3rd party flashlight apps.
It's called Torch

Oh, there it is. Derp.
I couldn't find it because apparently it's only available when you use TouchWiz. Thanks all.

Hah, all right then...so you don't have to use TouchWiz to get the Torch widget, but you apparently do have to not use Go. Looks like I'm going launcher-shopping.
Get Apex. More free features compared to Nova, without having to pay extra.

I'm using Touchwiz and it's an available widget for me.
I found the Torch widget in Touchwiz and it works great, but I don't really care for the Touchwiz launcher. I tried Apex and Nova based on previous recommendations but they didn't really wow me as much as Go Launcher does...and, because apparently I have done something to anger the mobile gods, the Torch widget isn't available in Go. BUT! I did finally find a decent 3P flashlight in Tiny Flashlight + LED that gives you a 1x1 widget that acts very similarly to Torch and is actually pretty darn fast. Also, it keeps the light on even when you turn off the screen, and you can switch it off quickly from the notification panel, much like the stock widget. I am pleased.

They have included an assistive light. It is now in the quick launch apps in the notification panel. Pull down the panel - click edit - drag the torch button into the usable app area - delete your 3rd party (cr)app

Scroll over where it says S MEMO and to the right it says "Settings" if you click on it there's a light bulb with three lines and that's the flashlight
