So i was able to access the audio loopback menu via *#0283# and noticed that the audio loopback is off, if i turn it on it significantly increases the volume but there is no way to save it to stay on. has anyone been able to figure it out or could figure it out? Thanks

Those service menus are stupid! They don't save the settings.
Ahh crap

Hello guys, got my SGS 2 weeks now.
I'm very noobish at changing anything on phone, like flashing or even root it.
Ive tryed some applications to firewall incoming calls, and some to put the phone to sleep. None work as i wanted.
Im a fitness intructor and i want to use my SGS with all my music for classes, and obviously, i cannot receive any calls during that time.
The firewalls make music lag, removing and re-insert sim card all day, is preety annoying. Airplane mode doesnt let me use bluetooth, wich i need to stream by A2DP protocol.
My old samsung omnia did have a disable phone option... is there any app to let me do it on android?
Thanks in advance

Why don't you just put it into airplane mode

Hi,
looking for some help. I have my sgs paired with the stereo in my car and they connect no problem. However, it automatically activates the PHONE bt profile and the MEDIA bt profile. I don't want the media profile active. So each time, I have to wait for them to connect, then go thought a few levels of system menus to find the bt pairing to the car and then turn of the media profile.
Anyone know how to make the change persistent?
My setup:
i9000m
Froyo 2.2 (ugjl2)

I think this is causing me some issues.
Just disabling it in Settings is not enough, I suspect it still runs through it and just sets EQ Flat when disabled.
But I'd like it not running at all.
Disable beats? That would be blasphemy.

I think this is what he meant by "turning it off in the settings is not enough"

No..when you turn it off in settings,it's off..
Contrary to what most people think and believe.Beats is more than an EQ Tweak

No it isn't
There is a Library File for Beats in System/Lib. If beats is off it still uses it when it goes to play Audio.
With beats OFF and this library removed when I click my BT Headset the phone crashes because it could not use the library.
I believe the switch is a "Pass Through" (i.e. EQ Off). But I believe it's messing up BT Audio and I'd like to try removing it.
It's still in the Audio Path.

Well for what it's worth I stream through BT in my truck just like any other phone I've had with no problems.

A2DP (Streaming) vs HFP (Headset) are apples and oranges
As the title states, while setting the phone to vibration or silent I don't get any sound over the speaker.
This occurred using Shredder Chess and PAD.
has anyone else had problems concerning audio when set to silent or vibration?

so are you sure about media audio level?
if you think it s a bug in xperia firmware you can install fresh firmware by using PC companion
connect ur device to computer and run PC companion and then select Repair Firmware option.
:good:
Yes, yes I'm sure doesn't matter how high the volume is set to.
Well I'm not sure if it's a bug in the firmware or not, hence the question if anybody else is experiencing such problems.

I notice sometimes that my volume is much lower after using BT. A reboot fixes it but it's a pain to have to do that.
