Hi, since i move from FroyoBread to latest GingerDX im having some little issues in camera mode, my first shoot or after some shoots my camera turn black and the only way to back to work is force closing the camera app, this is happening in stock camera app and camera 360 ultimate.
Already did full wipe , cleaned davilk cache.
Im doing anything wrong ?
No one can help me ?
i have the same problems with you, after updated to GDX v.14 then installing xLoud and bravia engine module. my camera won't work.
anyone please help me.. maybe i should remove the module? and how?

But it doesnt happens in PrimeHD4.0, it is a good rom
That doesn't happen also with GingerJHv2
I used GingerDX for a long time, the rom is great, but DX aren't really active on the forum this days. He surely is one of the best developers here and would have fix the cam problem in a few seconds

all gingerdx rom has one error of camera(after some shoots camera turns black) soln is at at -> alamjitsingh.blogspot.in (ONLY 4 XPERIA X8)

first thing i wana tell u all i'm not trying to promote my blog ..i know the latest version of gingerdx is 31b ....and this version also have the same camera issue ...m new user i dont know what are the rules of Xda ....but this model of mobile(xperia X8) now does not exist in market ...mean there r very few people who has this model of mobile nowdays ...and i also dont think they all know about how to flash roms ...the people who know about changing rom all r not using gingerdx........hence this small info cannot promote bolg of anyone ... m just trying to help nothing else

Well, I actually wanted to post a similar thread of my own. I have the exact same problem, except I'm on FroyoPro v2.5. The camera just goes black on some random occasion and you have to force close it and run it again. Happens on all camera programs, not just the one that came with the ROM. It's not really much of an issue because I don't use the camera daily, but if I was to go to a vacation or something and take >50 pictures, I'd say the camera fails about five times.
Perhaps an information of relevance would be that I have a Sandisk 8GB class 4 card. I don't remember having the problem before upgrading to a newer card, but then again I just could have been lucky. The card speed was tested and its sequential write speeds, 512k and 4k write speeds are all amazing. (could each of you who have this problem share which SD card you have?)
So, regardless of this being a two-year old thread, the problem is obviously still there, and there seems to be no solution. If someone knows what all of this is about, that would make my day

I don't make much photos with my TD2, and I have this phone only 1 month. But until now, I have no problems.
In dark rooms you'll get problems with almost every mobile-cam.
To get good pictures in a dark room without flash you have to buy a good cam.
Yes I find that when using Google Goggles (tricksy at the best of times) it refuses to change the exposure level. No such trouble in WM6.5 though.

Hi, i recently switched to Cyanogen, and love the OS so much, but it seems the sensors not working proper..
My son loves playing that temple run game, and before i installed cyanogen it worked great, but now when he plays the person running is on the right side of screen even when on flat table, idk how to sort it, and ive tried reading all over the net, i hope someone can assist.. tyvm..
SO when playing Temple Run with phone upright with the person running is stuck to the right, and same in all sensor apps..
I have the latest stable mod, and the LG Optimus 2x from FIDO..
I have also tried the figure eight, and tried using compass apps to calibrate, but still no go.. Plz help someone..

Try to flash latest temaseks kang. I had this problem on some roms with lg p500, on orange boston too, hd2 too.

I have this problem with any kind of rom or kernel , I`m on stock based rom now , Django Manouche but any kernel I try or rom, I have the same problem , I see this in gallery as well or any kind of games or apps that use gyro sensor. Is there any way to calibrate it from hidden menu or something else? :|

I have now tried a few alternate cm7 roms, and still same problem, it's a very weird problem as in Temple Run the runner is just off to the right, and yet still runs stait if u leave in on flat surface.. so idk whats goin on.. it's drivin my son nuts though.. lol

I would suggest nvflash v10b rom, root it and flash latest cm7 kang and etana kernel.

thx for the reply, i tried it now finally, and yet still same problem, i dont understand what happened, i can't even flash my stock backup as it just givs me a bootloop..
its very weird though, cause its liek the sensor is just off to the right a bit, as when playing temple run or similar, the runner will still run in a strait line, he is just off to the right of the screen instead of in the center, and i cant figure out what to do to sort it..
I hope one of you very smart individuals will figure out a fix.. thx for all the help..
My guess is that trere is different filesystem on stock. I have tried installing a bunch of apps and find out that advanced bubble level allows to calibrate but dunt know if on system level too. You must try on your own.

thx for reply, and yea i figured out about the file system, gunna try that ext3 to ext4 or visa versa, and try estoring the stok backup.. but if that dont work, im completely lost, idk what could have caused this problem, everything was fine before the first flash of CM7.. so idk..

From 3-4 days i see my mobile is working alone...i mean like someone touch the screen(when is unlocked)...i never hit my phone or drop down...just i use to install many roms. When this trouble is appear i did`nt do nothing...i mean i don`t instal a new rom or something else...is behave like somebody else is control my mobile! The area where i see the touch points is on left side of my screen from the top until down...sometimes if is unlocked is open the calls and then is appear numbers like 1,4,7 and *, if i am in menu is scrolling up and down ...is strange behaviour. Someone there is able to help me, or i must to return to service?
I am sure is not virus there coz i scan with Avast, and is not from one rom...i wipe and i instal another 4-5 roms and is the same problem!

Well done i flash back the original kernel...and on PC Companion when i connect i found one update available...i updated my mobile, now is up to date...i will test in next few hours but as far i see the problem persisits...
Guys, i am on stock rom from more then 12 hours and is no change there...my screen gets touched by a invisible finger i think is time to send to service...or whatever to buy a new mobile. Thanks a lot!

If u flash a diferent rom and kernel and the problem persists try to go back to factory kernel and rom if even at this time is stil persists the problem ...the solution for me was :
There is a touch screen problem...touch pad malfunction and for me the only way to repair was to send in service...or to buy a new mobile...so i give my mobile to recycling program and i get 28 euro , i count my points from bills and i got another 49 euro...with this money i use to pay around 120 euro difference and i got a Nokia Lumia 610 is a windows mobile and i will see what he can do...until now i am happy with what i have.
If u want to stay on Android i suggest u to go for Sony Xperia Arc S...but i am afraid u will have later the same problem.
This is what i did, u do as u like...the choice is yours! Sorry for my negative answer!

Newbie here,
I've got a problem with cany crush saga on a CM10.1, latest kernel from Kowalski and the full nonneongaps from Tonyp (excellent rom by the way).
When i start the game, no problem. But when i hit the play button the screen starts flashing, the music starts and the touchscreen responds. The phone keeps on working as supposed to. I can shut the game with the home button.
It's not a big problem for me, but the kids are playing this very often on my phone.
Is there a fix for this?
I tried also the 10.1 Rom from avatar, same problem. Went back to ICS with NVFlash and candy crush saga is working fine.

if the same behaviour shows with different roms/kernels, then obviously the game have major problem with p990's hardware.
when the P990 is running on ics (stock or nv flash recovery there's no problem with the app. For me that rules out hardware.....
Same thing here, exact same kernel. The top line and bottom line of the screen flicker black on and off, the game responds but the graphics don't update.
Lent the phone to a friend so I'm not sure when I'll be able to try this, but I hope to update when I do.

this happened to me but in my sony tablet. i was using it normally but suddenly when i start the game around 1 hour after not playing it its flickering. any help?

The problem is kernel related. Try a different kernel, and with reduced ram hack value if available.
I had been sent a private message by someone 3 weeks ago regarding this, asking how to fix it. I suggested him a different kernel, even tried it myself and it worked
So its either got to do with the high ram hack value or some other tweak in the kernel that causes the issue in this game.

yeah! im that bothersome person who ask many developer about that... hehe
just use AIOtool, and duat boot.. u can use avator rom or temasek(without flashing the kk), and a daily driver w/ kk...

There has been written a lot about this app in the development section. Try to search in kernel or ROM threads (but don't reply with your issue as it doesn't belong in this sections and people got sick of it). As I remember, changing to latest Kowalski stable without ram hack (KK M1 norh) could help...

My phone Overheats from charging or browsing (simplest things) and i always find it strangly too warm in my pocket while doing nothing and the media server takes about 30% of the battery (first time to see anything consume battery more than the screen)
so what can i do and what other roms you might suggest for no overheating and maybe a little bit better ram managment
Overheating is not the problem of the Rom
its the bug frm .201 Fw
And about the mediaserver
There is solution for it
connect your device to PC and search for the 0KB files and delete it
and see the magic

All the 0Kb files are hidden
connect to PC..and tick the "hidden Files shown" in Your PC
and then search it
God i hate this mobile so much there are no good roms or any good stable kernels. All are full of bugs and overheating or touch problems or battery eaters the mobile itself is great but the developing just sucks

im kinda not blaming you since you dont get full support from people like CM and the developing for this phone is kinda tricky and full of bugs since the stock roms are always full of bugs so you dont have a stable software to build on since all your roms are based on stock but still i cant find any good kernels and you guys know the phone problems yourself without me even reporting

Yeah, I think this problem might come from his phone because I'm running ExistenZ rom with no lag it seems that there are multiple versions of the xperia sp: One with some hardware issues and a newer release with these issues fixed?

im not complaining about lag if you can read you can see my problems comes with battery life and overheating and yes i use my phone moderatly but not to the point where i cant hold it from the heat or that i have to charge it every 6 hours
I have big lags on my SP and always low ram memory ( only 70 MB free. I have also problem with overheating.. Even if I surf in the internet or watching YouTube.

There are people that have the problems that you have and there are people with NO problems what so ever there must be a version that had some hardware flaws or something that sony fixed in later Xperia SP's or something because it's really weird that like half of the people here are having these issues and the other half doesn't!
Just a simple question: when did you buy your XSP?
I've bought my xsp this year in the end of January or February sth like that

You want a good fix? Take it to service center and pay the full load for a checkup and repair. Otherwise stop complaining about developing sucking and just deal with the fact your phone doesn't work flawless

Okay i did that already and my phone is 100% okay and stop being blind and look around the thread and see that im not the only special case facing problems and every problem i mention is a one that i didnt have with past roms so please say something usefull or dont reply at all

I gave you one; service center. Anything other than that I don't know there's fix other than a clean install and praying it won't heat
