Just swap/(replace) update-binary and updater-script from your previous rom or any other stock rooted ROM..

Yes, i replaced update-binary and updater-script from sfm_1.1 and it flashed successfully
but still on hTc splash screen
Please post some screen.....is it sense based or not ?

HTC Marvel is Wildfire S, so this is Android 2.3 with Sense 2.1. We already have SenseOnFire, which is Android 2.3 with Sense 2.1, and it boots and works,
unlike this. So yes, this is Sense.

I made it boot.
I replaced the update-binary and updater-script from the SenseOnFire 0.2b with these ones, and it booted.
I've got to say, it's almost the same as SenseOnFire.
But this one is more unstable

Hello,
I have made some modifications to MaliciousKen's mod of the battery percentage for stock rom:
Changes:
- the main change is to show the percentage even during charging; I based on MaliciousKen's graphic files and just made some changes in the xml
- based on v10d stock rom's framework-res.apk
- retain music notification in the status bar (i.e. same as stock version, you can disable it in Music's setting; there seems no problem in v10d version on this)
This is my first time modifying an apk! Please have a try and let me know if there is any problem

If you will make this mistake, do a backup first. In case you don't ,you must flash a new rom.

Sorry if it has caused trouble. Now I have uploaded another one based on MaliciousKen's version directly. So hopefully this should work for v10a/b/c.
Do make a backup (at least copy out your original framework-res.apk) before you try.

You don't need to flash a new rom, just install MaliciousKen's version. That worked for me.

hmm.... I did try before posting these files. I only have v10a and v10d stock rom and the above two mods work fine on my phone, so I'm running out of ideas now.
However, if either of the above works for anyone, please kindly let me know.
As said, it's the first time I modified an apk file, so when I found it successful (on my phone), I'm so excited to share here. Too bad if it only works on my phone

which xml file should I edit in order to build a working apk ?
I tried to modify the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
and I have also put the image file in correct place..
using APKmanager to compile and sign ...
I just got boot loop afterall -__-
Anything I have missed ?
the 1st xml is for the normal display of the icon while the other one is during charging (animation)
i used apktool 1.3.1
(note the latest apktool is 1.3.2 but this one appears buggy, i also had the boot loop with it)

Can be used with the 29 Sep Gr3 WIP (V20i) MoDaCo Custom ROM?
could some more people try this rom out? i dont have a lot of time to really test it out. please list any bugs you find with it. i am sure there will be a few of them... i think i may have gotten the camera working. about 90 percent of the time it will work when flashed but sometimes it does not. so if it does not work the first time try it again. it is based off a phone rom so im not sure what it will be like on everybody's different touchpads. link in next post.

ok... did they finally fix the camera??? i believe i found the problem. the htc roms use different file systems than the rest of android world. i am busy converting it over to "common android" file system. i will upload when done.

No offense to the OP, but read some of his other posts and I personally would not flash anything he posts until it is thoroughly checked and given the OK by a confirmed developer. He appears to be a noob and looking at the build.prop and some of the libs, doesn't look ready for the touch pad.
Porting Sense 4 to HTC phones is hard enough for skilled devs, let alone to the touch pad....

Like other devs said this would be very difficult for a skilled dev,i posted a few question a few months ago about the possibilty of porting a sense based rom to the t.p but thread died out,the t.p has the same snapdragon as several htc phones and im not saying its impossible just would be very difficult

You can't just take a Rom from another device(Evo 4G) and add our boot.IMG and expect it to boot. You need to rewrite code and compile from source.
so this rom does not workfor me... as it seems not to have for anybody else. i really just want the sense 4.0 launcher, lockscreen and settings, is there anyway that anybody knows of to do this?
Updater script is wrong so it won't flash, how about actually getting the ROM booting yourself then post?
Don't mean to sound like an ass but I'm no noob and I wouldn't even attempt it As it requires editing the kernel as well as the rom and resizing... try a port from evo view and not evo

This is not even close to the correct way to post a ROM, thread closed.
I've been trying to port a rom.. Got the instruction from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008. I followed everything but when I tried flashing it shows an error that says "Status7"..
After that when i try to boot it is stuck on bootloop..
any one knows what the problem is?

OK man you are getting there. Do you have adb setup? This is a very useful tool. What you do is plug in the phone and type adb logcat and look for the 'E' or error or 'F' for fatal this normally will give a good indicator to what you are missing.
Edit: I don't want to mess you up because those instructions are good but if you go to YouTube and search how to port a ROM . the first two videos are helpful. The lengths are like 16 and 4. Watch the 4 first and you might receive some insight into your problem.

It is entirely possible that it won't work that specific way because often framework and jars need to be decompiled. However you can probably use it as a good jumping off point to see if you did things correctly the first time. You can use it to mix tutorials and see if you can get it going. Porting takes some work and I am personally not a fan, although that's probably because my ported ROMs I've made aren't that good.

This is a completely different port and all previous fixes will be invalid. And you will have to erase data and cache and dalvik-cache completely!
Do a factory wipe.
Flash this ROM.
ROM
Boot into the ROM.
Then, reboot into recovery and flash Gapps.
GApps
Boot into the ROM. Setup your Google Account.
Reboot into the recovery and flash this fix.

Yup. This was ported from the One. So expected to not work. But shouldn't be difficult to fix that.

The MIUI V5 Rom work very well. Unfortunately, there is the SD Card problem who cause a lot of ForceClose. But i'm sure you will get it work.

The recovery is built into the kernel. If you want me to post CWM, I shall post another boot.img. However, I do suggest you to try TWRP. It's much faster and easier.

Forget our Droid DNA port cause that ruined my phone (Sony are replacing it). I'll talk later on Hangouts in more depth cause I had a Sense 5.0 ROM that booted (stuck on the boot screen just like the original versions of yours and my MIUI builds, However Android being Android, ADB won't work...)

The storage maybe the services.jar problem.
In services.jar.out\smali\com\android\server the all filename start with MountService
I think we need patch some code from yuga

I edited some of what i seen may needed to be changed, line 99, 130, 168 added and bluetooth module in sys/module folder. i can send the file via email. pm me with your email address...
Also I don't know what disclaimer you have toward people using your roms and modding them. but if you want I cleaned the rom up a lot and debloated it, deleted HTCSPEAK.apk and it cleaned it up to 665 MB so roughly 300mb smaller, more could be done but i was doing a quickie.
let me know if you want me to send or upload the files. I cant flash on my chicks HTC first until the weekend
Maybe the modules to turn on sound and Bluetooth are in the kernel
