Yes, it is in /system/lib
Note that 3 files are involved: libcamera.so, libcameraservice.so, and libcamera_client.so
Also note that you have to ask racht for his permission to use his rom first.

You can try it but I can tell you that this will not work as I have tryed the easy way out I had to right my own fill to make it work

Is very difficult port MIUI on a QVGA device.. the ui should be rescaled and effects reduced to work smoothly on a tattoo

this is not source..is already compiled for n1 and desire
I don't think the source is open, which makes it even harder.
i have terminated the porting of the miui rom. A lot of users know that i am without tattoo and i can't test my roms.
I will post the download link for anyone want try if the rom is working.

I tried porting miui to tattoo myself a bit, but it hangs completly after bootanimation.
Where there some devs with the needed knowledge to port miui to tattoo?
If so we could try to build a little crew and maybe the devs of miui could help us with some sourcecode..

Thanks for testing. Is impossible made miui rom without the sources. You can only try to porting it from another device but this i possible only with similar device...i have try to use a deodexed rom for n1.
Another solution is try to import only some features of miui.
I have take a rapid look at the files of miui and i think that some apk and some libs can be easy ported to tattoo.
If someone near venice can give me his tatto for a week i can start to made some try and take a look at the camera problem of the last cm6

Glad that some one gave a shot to port MIUI,
However without source open, it must be a pain to work with it.
I just found that, Jacob and others are trying to port it to wildfire without much success so far
hope you can get some help from there.

ive tried these about a month ago....didn't seem to want to work....
quick question since you seem to be the most helpful which rom would you consider the best? i am using the m1ndh4x8r 2.1 rom at the minute and i just want a change?

5) Place on your Desktop in a folder.
This script comes with instructions for each step, It is the MIUI auto-porter modified for general use with CM10 based roms.
It will say a bunch of stuff about MIUI on the splash-screen at the start, Ignore it.
Any Rom that uses CM10 as a base can be ported to this device using this script.

I know It's not a new rom update but I figured you folks would like it better, to test it out go to AvatarRoms site or some other CM10 based rom and try your hand at porting!
Some roms will have TW framework or other things like this and that must be taken care of manually, so for more complex ports you will need a good understanding of how to port and diff and xml editing and so on; but for very basic things or to create a quick port to assess what kind of potential work would need to be done, how compatible your device is with a base; this is a good place to start.

I have already tried this with CM10 epinter for base and Paranoid for AT&T One X because they are the same architecture and screen size ( 1280*720 )
But they don't start, i see the log but i don't understand anything ^^'

Sometimes the foreign rom is just not compatible as a base, you will see results as you experiment and find which phones are most 'similar' to yours
If anyone has successfully ported a rom with auto-porter that boots and is somewhat functional or functional, then please post and share the details here. I personally do not know how to port a rom, or make a rom etc., But I am willing to learn how to use the auto-porter in this thread if someone is willing to point me in the right direction. Like which base to use, and what modifications need to be done and so on...
the tmobile s3 is based from the same chipset, should try there to see

It might work with CM9, worth a try.
May I ask why CM9? CM7 is much more stable on these phones.

Well my advice is get use to logcats(google troubleshooting them, maybe even research a few ported manifactured roms to different devices and kernel porting will also be a big part of a build like this) , if you can get it to a working state these areas will be where most of the problems will be show whats conflicting, But without a kernel built/ported for the rom and hardware confliction issues your gonna have issues logcat may not be able to solve. Its not impossible but its far from easy porting from a different manifactured device but it does happen, htc roms have been brought to samsung for a few devices tho very few if any ever 100% function and it can be very time consuming for even a pro builder. would be nice for a custom factory rom from another branded device on our device!. I i wish you luck and will keep my fingers crossed and will check it out once its posted :good:

You are talking about 2 completely different things here. Our custom Roms are stock based with some modifications. These are no ports.

Still, we could get a Nexus 7-like Lollipop ROM when Cyanogen releases CyanogenMod12. Or 13. Cannot remember.. :silly:
btw using a Touchwiz based rom to port a AOSP rom is completely useless that will never ever boot.
if you port something do it from a similair device with the same hardware and uif you port aosp you need a aosp base! if you port a touchwiz based rom use a touchwiz based rom Easy!
Mate not to crush your dream or effort but what the other devs are tell you if true including my self. Educated your self more, all the tutorials and guides regarding porting, building custom rom and more can be find on xda.
As for Lollipop we would have to wait till a compatible / similar device has it before it can be ported.
On that note hope that clear up some stuff for you and understand things better.
So the galaxy tab 2 has official support from cyanogenmod which I think it will be getting cm 12 which the device hardware and specs are not much different someone can port that over to our tab 3.
Or if the tab 4 gets official Samsung android l update you devs can port it to our tab 3??

Did you replace the nexus 7 libs with the tab 3 7.0 libs? Found in /system/lib

Upload the rom so i can check/replace the lib files
The only ROM that varies from stock is gr8nole's CM11 ROM. All other are touchwiz
If we had a stable CM ROM i feel this device would be very smooth and probably run some high end games smoothly

is it possible to get a working xposed for the HTC Desire 626s everyone that i have tried so far has boot looped and does not work. thanks.
I'm guessing that our best bet is to try it on a custom ROM when/if one is made.

I agree. I also wish I could build roms. Or port them.. I loved Tesla ROM on my sgs2.. I prefer slim based roms over CM but I'd be happy with either one on this device.

Awesome. If you get far enough along to need testing let me know. I've been a flashahplic for years but I know nothing about building. It might be easier to try to port a ROM with permission from the roms developer. Just a thought. I'm not too sure about that

Yea if porting is easier I'll look into that. I'm not sure if I need s-off or not to test them when I build it or not.

If u could help me by finding them I can start working on it when I get home because I'm at work right now. I work overnight so I don't get out until 7am. But I already have all the programs on my PC already
As others have said, booting hangs at the HTC logo after installing Xposed.
Here's the logcat from my Desire 626s, booting after I installed Xposed-v78-sdk22.

Another way we might get this working is if somebody takes the stock rom and deodex it. Browsing xda and I see the desire 616 was able to run xposed after deodex. Just putting that out there in case anybody has the ability to do it. Damn I miss having xposed on my phone. Flat style colored bars in particular lol

iv tried to deodex the rom with no luck i cant get my phone to work with adb. it always says to connect a device. iv tried to do it with 4 different programs. i got all the files off the phone that i need by putting them on my sd but no program will deodex them.
