[Q] Installation of Youtube unsuccessful

Hello All,
I used to be on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe MUIU rom and bunch of other custom roms. Every rom has its ones pros and cons but were not very stable. So, I thought I will go back to stock. So, I flash stock rom and stock recovery and received OTA update and installed the updates. Now my phone is on the below version.
Android Version 2.2.1
Build Number - FRG83D
Market Version - 2.12
Baseband Version - 32.26.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7
I was able to successfully download and install many apps but whenever I try to download YouTube I always get "Installation of Youtube unsuccessfull" message. Also, I researched and saw that some people in Europe on Vodafone rom are having this issue. How do I know if my android version is totally stock?
Do you guys have any ideas on how I can successfully install this app without having to root my phone again? I would like to stay stock and unrooted if possible.
Thanks.
use titanium or manually uninstall the current youtube app, reboot then try to install again. Its because its a system app currently. youll probably have to do the same for car home, street view and a few others
I am un rooted, so I won't be able to use titanium. how do I uninstall manually though? I didn't have any issues installing other apps like street view etc.
Make sure the app is installed on your phone, and unmount the SD before updating...

I tried un mounting SD card and installing and still that didn't work. Thanks for trying to help though.
Try uninstalling the old version of YouTube first.

....if you do not have root access how were you flashing an miui rom?
I was getting the exact same thing as you were, all you need to do is remove the old youtube app
good luck
Thanks for the responses. Like I said in my post I was rooted before but un rooted and went to complete stock 2.2.1. I know uninstalling youtube would resolve this issue but I am trying to find a way to uninstall the app without being rooted.

[Q] Updating between nightly rom updates

hi sorry if this is a bit of a noob question, but im currently using one of the 4.3.0 CyanogenMod 10.2 nightly updates which is great, but I am wondering when there is a newer nightly update with a few more bug fixes to install this, can i simply using clockworkmod install the newer version from install from sdcard or.... should i do i need to do a full installation. i.e. do a full data wipe, wipe cache and then install the new version from zip.
just if i can i would like to save my data and just get the bug fixes, but if not so be it dont want to brick my phone, lol

They put today update. The root aces is fixed since last night update. But I still got problems with the browser..
Oh I'm not having any problems with the browser, I find my applications disappear out of folders and the folders themselves disappear off of the home screen but everything else works fine.

actually fixed this problem by replacing the trebuchet browser with nova launcher which works perfectly on my 4.3 rom

Doubts about CM12 Nightly

Hi all
I recently buy Droid4 (received 2/3 days ago).
I rooted, installed safestrap, installed CM12 Nightly , installed custom OC kernel and, now, flash Xposed framework Alpha 2.
I have some doubts about updates CM12
1) I can't update via OTA, CM updater stop. is this normal?
2) Yesterday i flashed the last nightly version (12, i had 11), and i lost some things, it's normal?
- Custom kernel (normal)
- Gapps (??)
- Xposed framework (??)
its too difficult download >200MB every version, flash it, flash gapps, flash xposed.....
3) what do you think about CyanDelta Updater?
4) how turn off vibration? xD
I had issues with Camera and WiFi!

my WiFi works fine =/
what build do you have?
I have cm-12-20150311-NIGHTLY-maserati.zip but the last one is cm-12-20150312-NIGHTLY-maserati.zip
I restore my backup after flash the last version because i don't want to reflash all things again now.
EDIT: i tryed the camera. 2 photos and a short video and works fine.

[Q] Rooted stock ROM without bloat

I had already rooted my phone and have TRWP (Maclaw's) installed. Actually, I am running CM 12.1. But I wanna go back to stock!
But I have some questions:
Where can I download a stock (preferably updated to 4.1.2) ROM?
My device is already rooted, but will I need to flash with SuperSU to give the stock ROM root functionality?
How can I delete Samsung (e.g. ChatON) and Google bloat (e.g. Google+, Hangouts) that comes with the stock ROM?

ROM Switching

Sorry if this is in the wrong category.
I want to switch to cyanogen 14.1 on my sprint HTC one m8. My plan is to make a backup of everything with twrp, flash cm14.1 nighty, then restore the apps. I have multiple questions.
1. Will this plan work
2. If I have the super su and Xposed installer apps, I'll just need to install the framework stuff, right?
3. If I do brick my phone, will the backup fix it?
4. Will I have to reconfigure my phone with my carrier?
5. Will cyanogen be able to read the restored apps?
I think that's all. Thanks for the answers in advance!
Stability
I have also heard of stability issues with cm14.1. I guess another question is is it a good idea? One main reason for cm14.1 is android 7.
