If you're still within the 30 day period since you initially bought your phone, you can just go back to Best Buy and ask them to do a price match (since it's within the 30 day period and they're currently selling it for a penny).
Really?

Yes, really. I did that back when I had the Atrix 2 a year ago.
This little paragraph sums up Best Buy's policy:
"Best Buy will match the price if you find a lower price on an identical available product at a local retail competitor's store, a local Best Buy retail store or BestBuy.com. Simply let us know when you are making your purchase or during the return and exchange period.
The Guarantee does not apply to: Our competitors' website prices, offers that include financing, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, competitors' service prices, items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, Deal of the Day items, BestBuy.com Midnight Sale and special hour sale events, BestBuy.com Clearance & More and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving."

Just a side note, but ATT is changing it policy from 30 days to 14 days for exchanging phones and I don't know how this is going to affect Best Buys policy in regards to this.

Aw, well that's bad....HOWEVER, there is one possible way to still get a price match. If you happen to be a Best Buy Premier Silver member, your return/exchange policy on all bought items is extended from the normal 30 days to 60 days (this would include price matching).
Do you have to pay to be one?

No; however, you have to already be a regular Rewards member and have to had spent at least $2500 in a calendar year to qualify.

It's only good for 100 towards a Motorola phone so basically pointless lol.

Thanks! Used this one and will post another when I get one
I did the math and this is less expensive option than getting a protection plan through T-Mobile or other carriers.
At $7.99/month, that's 95.88 for 1 year and that's not including the deductible.
The Squaretrade warranty is $125 for 1 year without the discount (which would make it less expensive so I WANTS A CODE!!!)
30% off $125 is a total of $87.50 and the deductible is $90.
WE NEED MORE CODES!!
Codes usually come email on Tuesdays.

I keep wavering on whether to pull the trigger on this or not, but with all of the glass on our phones, I'm paranoid as hell.
If we paid the typical $500 - $600 for the phone, off contract, it is probably a no-brainer, but at $299 (8GB model), it's tough to justify.
Today's deal is a max $30 off, for a 2=year warranty, making it $95. Add in the $99 deductible, and you're at a total cost of $194. $299 - $194 = $105 worth of "risk".
In other words, I have to pay $194 to save $105, IF I break my phone. Just don't know if that is worth it.
I thought it was cheaper than that. Given the life cycle of these phones and the chance that they actually break, its not justifiable especially if Google is going to keep this price format. A new nexus every year. Selling previous nexus on flea bay, let's say $150 making sure to take special care of the your nexus and buy a new nexus yearly for around $200.

Unless you bought a 16GB then its and $160. Also as far as I know the $99 deductible includes shipping. Not much more money but it may factor in for some people.

I am not sure about the shipping cost because I don't know how big/heavy the Zero Lemon will be. But I am willing to pay the shipping. We can do it without going through eBay, just paypal. I'll pay you paypal fee too plus time and effort.
PS.
Are there any other Australians here? Maybe we can bulk buy and divide the shipping cost.

OK, we have 5 orders now. That is enough for the now, don't want to put too many as it would be too risky.
I want to make this as easy as possible for the American XDA member who will be kind enough to help us by sorting out as much as possible the financial and shipping business within Australia.
So here is what I think we should do.
at the moment $1AUD = 1.03 USD, so lets assume it is equal to make it everything easy.
Step 1. Have all the Australians buyers deposit money (bank transfer) payment which include Zero Lemon plus the shipping cost from the States and monetary incentive for the American XDA member to me. Those who live outside Sydney should pay additional $8AUD so that I can post the battery to you after it arrives from the States, otherwise you can pick it up from my Parramatta residence if you live close by.
Step 2. I will then transfer the total amount to the American XDA member.
Step 3. the American XDA member will order the batteries off Amazon and ship the batteries to my address in Sydney.
Step 4. I will then post out the batteries for the rest of the Aussies that live in other Australian citise or a organise local pick after I receive them.
So this way, the American XDA only have to deal with one person and one payment, which is me and I will deal with the fellow Aussies.
So all we need now is that American XDA member volunteer, I personally prefer a MOD or a Dev member or established XDA member, because the amount of money that will be involved, Thanks.
Im in canada and use comgateway.com its pricey for one person but if theres a few being ordered should be ok. Plus theyll give you a quote up front now
Sent from my SGH-T889V using xda premium
One thing y'all should be aware of is that UPS, Fedex and such have regulations against shipping batteries. You need a bunch of paperwork including MSDS from the manufacturer. I couldn't ship a HD2 battery to my dad in another country because of all the paperwork I would have had to go through. It's much easier for the manufacturer to do it because they already have the paperwork on file.
Now, I'm sure you'd be fine just mailing it and not telling them it's a cell phone battery since people get on planes with cell phones everyday. But they could easily seize it and penalize you if they wanted if they found out.

on Amazon, why don't zero lemon just use Amazon shipping if they don't want to ship it to Australia. I bought few things off Amazon, they ship to Australia with no issue.
How about shipito.com? I have an account and willing to order.
Do we get a colour choice if we can pull this off? I'm a old Henry Ford man, "u can have any colour, as long as it's black"

What is the cost of using one of those mail forwarding services, anyone know?
As the new Nexus 5 is only available in some country`s through the Playstore it would be nice if users we`re willing to order a Nexus 5 for those that have no access to the Playstore and are forced to pay a lot more in local stores. All personal conversations are off course private and are to be dealt with through PM or Email.
Please sign up here if you want to particpate and post your location (Country and City) so users can contact you. It would realy only be fair that the participants deserve a (small) compensation for their efforts..
It would be even better if XDA started a thread/service like this
Post your country/city in this thread or PM me so i can post it in the OP which would be better and easier

But for those who are uncomfortable with all this stuff, comgateway can help you buy the devices or you could ship the device there and they will reship it to your location using DHL.

What type of compensation are people willing to provide outside of the shipping costs?
This sounds like a terrible idea to be honest.
Not to bring my cloud of negativity but you know somebody is going to do the wrong thing and ruin this for everybody else.
Charge back scams, people pocketing the money and not sending the devices. etc etc.

Noted the price you might pay to have it imported might be not much more then what it would cost locally. If you get the 32gig version at $400 the final checkout price will probably be about $460 after tax and shipping. Then add the cost of shipping overseas and you're nearing $500 if the person who does this doesn't charge you a fee. If your local retailer sells the 32gig version for 500 euros then is the extra savings really worth the potential of being scammed?

And these website don't offer cash on delivery services, most of them have warehouses in China from where the product is shipped so you have to pay them upfront just like ebay.

Take a look at dx.com too, they have a lot of cheap stuff and offer free shipping but it'll take almost a month to reach you. It's better not to order in bulk from these guys, out of the 10 items you order only 8 may reach you lol. Buychina looks good though.
