Check out my theme! - Android Themes

Hey guys,
After hacking many many apps to fit my themes, I've decided to just come out with a theme of my own. It's for ADW launcher, and although it's pretty simple, I'd love if some of you guys could check it out and download it.
It's FREE, and even if you don't have ADW, it would make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside if some you guys could download it. It's extremely small, doesn't show up in your app drawer, and doesn't run in the background.
You can find it here: dberm22's 3D Metal Theme
Thanks in advance guys,
dberm22
This Forum Rocks!!

My app now includes Manup456's android icon set, along with custom ones that I made. If you're looking for an easy way to get his icons onto your android device, look no further!

dxTop Themes

Well, it's time I start working on putting together themes for dxTop so that non-root users can use them. I'm looking for theme authors to volunteer up there themes. I'm only looking to start with themes that will work with the 2 tabs in dxTop (or you can offer up additional assets) and have 100% of the Launcher skinned including the menu icons. Check out the dxTop site for a screen shot of the two tab layout.
If you want to give me permission to convert your theme to work with dxTop, please post here with a link to your theme's thread. Also, include how you want to be credited in the description on the market.
I only plan on doing a few to start. But I will be releasing source for building a themed for dxTop.
Thanks in advance for your help! I will start on this today.
Cheers,
John
you have my permission here is my theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=472812 i have it on dx now here is how it looks if you use my theme just post theme from kron2 looking forward to source for building a themes for dxTop. and looking forward to quote Themes: I was thinking that is image resources are found on the sdcard, they could be loaded instead of the default ones. This would be an easy way to skin dxTop.
Feel free to use any and all themes made by me, should you want to.

Thanks guys! I have release dxTop with theme support along with Deep Black and Glossy Minimalism.
I will be looking to add the others as time goes on.
Thanks again!
The deep black theme caused a lot of lag on my phone. When dragging from screen to screen, the icons were leaving a trail behind them. Once I uninstalled it, everything was back to normal
EDIT: Nevermind apparently its the new update to dxtop, not the theme. It started happening again, even after a reboot
how deep does the dxtop support for theming go? Is it only the icons on the desktop etc or does it extend to pattern lock buttons etc?

Question:
I currently have the Rusty Metal theme installed through flashing the update.zip. If I switched to say Deep Black through the supported theme (not through update.zip), and didn't like it. What would I get if I switched back to default? The original stock theme, or Rusty Metal same as it was before?

Going back to original will use the stock resources so if you have a rooted theme installed it will show.

Sorry if this has already been answered but I just can't seem to find it.
Is the non-root theme unable to replace the status bar?

Correct, it can't change the status bar.
It's cool using the dxTop them in conjunction with a regular theme.
IE, I'm using the Glossy minimalist dxTop theme with the "Glossuite" competition theme, and it's cool.
Can't wait for more themes to be ported to dxTop.
Can you pleeeeease put up CARBON GLOW.

Professional looking homescreen

I came over to the android world from a HTC Tilt II running WM 6.5. Has anyone mimicked the Sense/TouchFLO layout? It looks very professional and sleek... I would love to make my Android home screen on my Captivate look similar to it. I love the android OS by far, but I would love suggestions on how to make it look more "professional". Thanks
Try Beautiful Widgets for clock and weather widgets. http://www.appbrain.com/search?q=beautiful+widgets
LauncherPro for custom docks and icons, an upgrade to LauncherPro Plus will get you htc sense style bookmark, contacts and facebook widgets. http://www.appbrain.com/app/launcherpro/com.fede.launcher
LauncherPro is IMHO the best replacement launcher www.launcherpro.com

I appreciate the help, however I have already purchased BW and LP. I just want that more "professional" feel, as previously stated, and I can't get that out of anything that I have tried. But again, thank you for your input.
You could try ADW Launcher, I've never really used it my self.
But you download custom made themes, i'm sure there must be numerous sense style themes available, but your not going to get sense style widgets.
There are numerous clock widgets available that are similar to sense clock widget http://www.appbrain.com/app/sense-analog-clock-widget-4x2/factory.widgets.SenseClock
I don't think he necessarily wants a Sense look, or he probably would have gotten an Aria or gone to a different network
As far as professional, sleek, clean.. the things you can do to your Android home screen are boundless. It's all personal preference. If you want it to look like HTC Sense, go with either LauncherPro Plus (for the widgets) or ADW.Launcher (for the navbar and icons). Also, I recommend Weather and Toggle Widgets paid app, if you want the pretty HTC Sense flip clock with the weather (get the H7C skins for it).
Personally though, my homescreen is TypoClock with four of the apps I use most (Facebook, Messaging, Music, and Faves.. not very professional, but whatever, I'm in high school ). And there's other widgets you can get to make it pretty, like Tajm and BattStatt are nice. If you have any Photoshop skill (or hell, even Paint), you should make a mock-up of what you actually want your homescreen to look like, that way we can give you more relevant suggestions.
And thanks for joining the Android army!
Get the signals23 themed launcher pro apk!! It looks very sleek & professional. You can find it in the ANDROID THEMES (not droid inc themes) section here on xda. Play around with desktop visualizer alongside various different icon sets. I share the same intent. I came from blackberry storm earlier this year and I would love a rom to be developed, that mimics the bbos, the same way miui rom from china mimics apple os4. I hate all the bb themes on the market right now. But I've become somewhat fulfilled with signals 23's launcherpro themed apk.
Oh and check out the "post your homescreen thread." See what you like here and there and get some inspiration.

Try "Slidescreen and Slidescreen Pro" in the market. They're home replacements and, imho, are very professional and clean looking. If you use all of the functions integrated it's even better. You can also try "Executive Assistant" which can be a widget for all of your info or a lockscreen replacement. Both are pretty professional looking.
EDIT* I'm not affiliated with either of these devs.. I just own both and enjoy the way they clean up the look of my phone.

Thanks for the kind words. People think I'm nuts for trying to mimic tf3d. They always say it looks too winmo, but they are missing the point. I love and miss tf3d. I am close to finishin a theme using LPP that will closely mimic tf3d. Stay tuned around these parts...

[Q] Can I use a Biffmod theme on Gtab?

I love and still use the chromatic theme on my MT3G and would want to know if i can use it on my Gtab. I would love to have matching devices.

Lol, thats a pretty gray theme for "chromatic"..... Which rom? Looks like it would be pretty simple to port. I've been working on a gray theme also.... Not done, but preview: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11212115/Pics/Ghosted.png
Made a metamorph, bored while backing up. I didn't add any of the themes xmls though so it may not look the same, tell me what is different and I can see about adding it.
Also, to apply this I had to change up the metamorph time, menu on main screen, bottom bar most of the way to the right...
Download: Link
Chromatic Rom
Its from the Chromatic Rom. It was a lite CM based Froyo build streamlined to run on the G1/MT3G/Magic. Fell in love with the rom and would like to continue the legacy even if only in style. I will check out your links and get back to you. Thanks!
Edit/
GTO777: That is a neat theme! Would love to see it on the tablet. Also Downloaded your .zip. Will give it a look as soon as I get in from my saturday night with the fiance. Thanks for your time

Looks great. I like the simple black. What realy sealed the deal with the chromatic theme was the black and red android in the corner of the notification pulldown window. I will have to poke around the rom and see if i can extract it and maybe adb push it in. I really apriciate your help and the port.

[THEME] MNML.Blue (WIP)

At first I just wanted to make a minimalistic clean theme for my G1, and then I thought I might as well release it. I have made a preview screen in Photoshop and have spliced the theme to currently run the blue version on my G1.
It uses mClock and LauncherPro, there are custom icons for the launcher, but you can just as easily use them with ADW.
I'll post the APK and all the other files as soon as I'm done. Thanks
Looks superb, looking forward to it.
Regards
the wall please! and cant wait for the theme too!
very nice. thanks
Hey... lemme know when it's finished. It it works on SGS, I'd love to make a video review of it.

[THEMES] Themes by 404 ERROR (Zooper, WidgetLocker, Launchers)

Good day all,
Once this thread grabs some more attention, I will make a nicer and more readable introduction. But to those who are reading now, let me introduce myself.
One of the main reasons I love having an Android phone is its capability to be themed. However, as I was looking through the many themes, I noticed that none of them are quite what I am looking for. I decided to make my own themes to satisfy what I like.
Although, I am at best a Photoshop hobbyist and have absolutely no artistic capabilities nor any formal learning in this field, I sincerely hope you enjoy what I make.
Any comments, criticism, or discussion is appreciated!

Hollow is a dock-centric homescreen theme that is meant to be clean, simple, and flexible.
INFO:
The idea of Hollow first appeared when I realized the majority of the themes were very restrictive in their gridlines + choice of wallpaper. I wanted to make something that allowed more flexibility while staying eye-appealing. My answer to this was placing the good majority of the widgets into the dock. The dock contains everything you need, the desktop contains whatever else you want. Don't like the set up? Move the widgets to your own liking or even make your own widgets to match your personal tastes.
