Hello, With titanium backup, I have deleted files that I dont use, like maps etc, but....can I unzip a ROM (wipe/no wipe versions) remove a few apps from system/apps and re-zip the rom, and flash via CWM? thus not having to delete files via TBackup?
Or do i need another program to do that???
Do I need to edit any text files/scripts?

Hi, I would like to delete some Files integrated in the ROM. I'm using total commander and Resco Explorer but it does not work at all, how should I proceed with it to get those files away...?
The Files belong to FlashPlayer 2.1
Thx in advance
You'd be better opening up the nbh (if you can) and deleting the files before you install the rom, otherwise the files may be in use on your device and you won't be able to delete them

Could i rename my nandroid back up folder the ending tree folder that holds the .android_secure.img, cache.img, data.img, nandroid.md5 and system.img ... like clockworkmod/backup/2010-11-25.05.05.13 could i just pop all those files into a .zip named whatever and direct him to clockwork recovery and flash zip from sd card?
Titanium backup igives you the option to create a update.zip, then it gives you two radio buttons one says titanium backup will be installed as user application and then System application.
I know that the whole create update.zip thing is for flashing it to the rom from recovery. But what is the diffrence bewteen those two options. What is best and what is the diffrence..

By not renaming to update.zip, u can keep multiple versions of backups on ur phone. I tend to take a backup more or less everytime I try to make any changes, like applying themes I do not know, or am not confident of.
I've just flash a rom (download from xda, which is in *.zip format JB4.12) by CWM to my note 1, successfully.
Now I've just backup the rom, with some apps and data, by rom manager. However, the backup come with several files include a *.img instead of a zip file.
Anybody know, how can I make these files to become one *zip file, which I can flash it to the system and make it become factory default??
Please help...

I would suggest you taking a nandroid using CWM recovery..its easy to backup & restore..about your question regarding rom manager, may be you can put all the .img files into 1 .zip file, but i really don't know if it will make a flashable rom..
simply say, how to backup thwart whole roman with data which is flashable to cwm?
Nandroid backup backs up the entire rom and is restorable via cwm.

Thanks for prompt reply.
Will it create *.zip files that can be used to flash to factory default rom?
Not .zip AFAIK..it does on .tar format & another format (forgot the name)..anyways, u should be able to flash .tar using mobile odin..
It doesnot make a zip file. it makes a folder with the date and time when you made the backup. in it has ext4 files of you system, data cache, modem kernel etc.. all you need to do is boot into recovery and go to backup & restore and choose the folder you want to restore and it will do the job.. it doesnot require a zip file this way.
I accidentally deleted the conversations.apk file
even after reinstalling romaur's rom, and getting the apk file back, I can't send sms!
do I need to reflash the stock rom again?
no just add (copy) this Conversation.apk to the system/app/
and restart the phone.
(You can use RootExplorer or any other alternative program)
and please next time be careful with system apps.

I want to use the rom MaximusHD 52 but with some apps from MaximusHD 53, which has newer versions of the system apps
I have tried copying directly from the maximus53 zip some app, from system/priv-app/...and paste to my root folder in phone, then set permissions, and rebooted
It worked, the app is updated, but I have another 20 apps, and it´s tedious to make the process with each one
I want to make a zip to do it by flashing in twrp....Any help please?
(deleting everything in the original zip but the priv-app/* folders doesnt work, it gives fail at flash
