Hi,
is there any away to unlock (the network lock) the phone?
Thanks
flash another firmware? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1260707
no, it doesn't work... problem isn't in flash... it's locked like other models, but by another method now it's possible onle with buying codes
Hi, I had to unlock a Galax ACE and I did it succesfully.
The problem is that I can't find the same file with the unlock code in the Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
Some people post that the unlocking methods for Samsung Galaxy S or S2 doesn't work with S Plus. Now I have confirmed that Galaxy Ace method doesn't work.
Regards
I'll keep waiting ...
In custom firmwares like CM7 or equivalent, the network is unlocked. The rom i mentioned above has an unlocked network. It is the rom and not the hardware which locks the network that's why you can unlock it.
Hello
I just flashed my french SGS+ with the rom mentionned above but the network is lock yet

The problem is that it's locked in orange. It has a lot of crap that i dont want or use. The thing is, can i flash it if it's locked? And can you give me a few pointers on how to do that?

You can sim unlock your device and then flash the rom --You can pay few buck and get it unlocked online or maybe there are some around your locality--... This way the rom will surely work...
Note: I haven't trying doing either and what you do is at your own risk!!
So this wont work until i sim-unlock it?

AFAIK the simlock is stored in the TrustZone secured emmc area. The likelyhood of a working simlock in the near future is very slim.

Hello Fellows,
The network unlock question is older than this phone, but no one has made it and no one has made the "why not" question? Since it is not possible to unlock it by software, I'm curious about why not. Does anyone know anything about it?
Thanks in advance.
see ya!

Can you be more specific? I don't understand anything from you post.
Hi razvan and thanks for your reply. My question is: Why can't we unlock this phone via software, like galaxy S2. The only way I found to unlock i9070 is via box (like z3x) or sending your imei to some unlock sellers. I hope be more clear this time and excuse me my bad english. Thanks Again!

I just rooted my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830(D) and want to get it unlocked now. Is there a free method out there or do I have to pay for an unlock code?
TIA!

See if this works,
New method with /dev/bml5
If this doesn't work either, you are better off paying for the unlock code

Samsung will not unlock your bootloader and from what I understand you could not load an international ROM anyways because of the way the partition is laid out differently between the phones. Who knows though, I could be wrong.
