Any other tTorrent users here? Every large torrent (200-300megs) I've attempted to download lags the phone so badly that I need to battery pull to restore functionality. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Worked fine with my Droid OG and Droid X.

I used to use that, try adownloader instead, its on market, I like it better. I'm on a different phone but I soon will have one like yours and give this one to the wifey...

I'm using mTorrent Lite for when im connected to WiFi. Works great. Obviously not suggested when on 3G.
what about something like PeerGuardian/equivelant to go along with it?
I'm using mtorrent as well but only getting 1mb sec load speed. I have 4 meg DSL.. shouldn't it be at 400k a sec?
In the same vein, has anyone seen a usable Usenet app?

I'm trying to use mtorrent but every time I try to add a torrent, nothing happens. It keeps saying to add a torrent. How is everyone else using mtorrent.

I use NewzDroid and it does exactly what I expected it to. They also make the software Unrar and Unrar Pro... it would be really nice if they would just integrate the applications together though.
I see that there is now another offering on the Market called Droid NewzLeecher (which appears to have some pretty bad reviews)
The app that I use is ttorrent and I love it. I have tried all of them and this one is by far the best. I get speeds on average of 250kb/s but that might be due to the speed of my wifi connection.

I don't have a Xoom, but on my Nexus One I use the free uTorrent remote app. This is not torrenting on the phone, it torrents to my home computer running uTorrent. However, the app allows you to download the files from your home computer once they are completed. It is a very clean app and works great on my phone, so if it runs on the Xoom and that way of doing things works for you, it might be a great solution.
I'm aBTC on my desire. Give it a go.
swarm is one of the best clients i've seen, but it is $5.
For example, I can't locate SPB Shell 3D on the market. If I go to this app from dev site by direct link I don't see Install button. I have purchased this app some time back even. Does somebody knows it is true? If yes then it is ridiculous. How dare they are to prevent me from using what I have paid for.
I know a lot of apps wont show if they have not updated to 2.3.4. Most are ok to use if you have 2.3.3

They just done work with 234 yet. I know tetris doesnt work

It makes sense. Thank you guys for explanation.

EA Games' Tetris works. However, the Need for Speed Shift app that I purchased doesn't work on my phone. I noticed that there is another Need for Speed app in the market that costs 10 USD.

I know apps can be filtered by OS version. The company I work for has an app that is only compatible on phones 2.1 or newer. Market will not even display the app on sub 2.1 devices or on 3.0 since its a Tablet OS. I have read, in the cases of tethering apps, that cell carriers can filter apps and Verizon has done so. I do not know whether Motorola does. I imagine they can, but why they would, I am not sure. I know there are Device specific apps (Droidlight) that are from Motorola that are visible and downloadable on other devices, they just do not work.
I have stopped to understand things. The SPB Shell 3D release history says
Version 1.2.1 (Aug 04, 2011):
Stability improvements
Fix Gallery for Motorola Atrix (2.3.4)
Other fixes
So it is targeted for 2.3.4. On my son's Atrix 2.3.4 I can see this app in the market. But not on my Droid 3. Mystery.
They can filter by OS version and device, so it may be supported on the Atrix but not the D3.

Exactly. That's why you won't find Wireless Tether on the Market haahah

Does anyone else have the issue of frequent force closes of the XDA app on their Xooms?
I used to have the force closes but that was on the free version. I then bought the premium app and it works flawlessly
Sent from my Nexus One using xda premium
I have had force closes on the XDA app for awhile now on both my Xoom and my OG Droid. But... it only would force close after you open a thread in the browser, and then try to return to the app with the back button, which tells me there is an issue with the app itself as this same exact force close occurs on both of my devices. Although, as of lately this problem seems to have subsided completely. Maybe they fixed it.
No other instances of this are to be reported by me. Runs very smooth like always!

Interesting way for them to make you buy the paid app lol
Mine seems to Force Close when I log in and then try to do anything that you would need to log in on. It works great on my OG Droid though.

I have the same issue :-(
I get force close every time I select a thread to read on my xoom. The app works great on my inc2 (free version on both). For now I'm using tapatalk w/o any issues on my xoom.
Love xda topics, hate their apps, hate the forum searching rule of not being allowed to search more than twice within 30 seconds even when making a typo, hate the sometimes complex ...basically love to hate them
Yep, the force closing is why I purchased the premium app. Not one problem since.

I also have this issue. While I don't mind supporting the forum I already paid for tapatalk and if I dont have the issue there then I can't see paying twice.
XDAalways FC's. I prefer the browser version.

I'm always looking to find new, wonderful apps, so, out of all the apps on your Bionic (which you've added from the market, not stock), which would you miss the most if they were to suddenly disappear from the Android world, and why?
For me:
1) FBReader (as I love reading Ebooks, and the Bionic screen is good enough to make reading on it worthwhile)
2) JuiceDefender Ultimate (WiFi control and nearly 2x battery life improvement? Yes, please)
hmm
friendcaster cause the fb app sucks
and
xda cause i love reading up on the new gadgets n mods

Pulse - what else is there for reading the news
Stitcher - Definitely helps with the long drive to work

Can I say one that was already removed?
Better Keyboard as well as all the other "Better___" apps.
They were kicked off the market cuz of some copywrite violation.
Elixir - One stop shopping for everything going on with your phone.
Caustic - Its like having Reason in your pocket! (for all you musicians)
I've heard recently that FL Studio is coming to Android very soon...can't wait!

I'd like that one back also. I bought that app and can no longer download it.

One app I miss is SNESOID. It was removed a while back and some other developers have been taking it's spot, and in some cases posting the exact same app. I still have the app, but it's a shame that the original SNES emulator for android is no longer up.

Evernote because it's the all around best note taker/organizer for what I do, and Runkeeper, because it's a great motivator and tracker and saves at least $100 as I don't faced to buy a separate device.

Tasker - without it, my smartphone feels dumb.
Springpad - better than even Evernote at keeping my life in order.
Swyped from my Droid Bionic, unless I was in landscape, in which case I Swiftkeyed the hell out of it.
DROID iris and fishing 2 go.

If we're talking root related apps that's hard, bootstrap, CWM, root explorer, and titanium backup. Non rooted apps I'd say dolphin HD and hex defense.

DroidEmu is basically the same thing, but it includes all Atari, Sega, and Nintendo systems. The UI is identical
Hey everyone! Does anyone out there know anything about debugging applications? I have downloaded this Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time game several times and tried to get it to run, both on my Bionic and on the DROID X2 I had previously. It has Open Feint, which it will allow you to enable, but then will force close upon trying to run the game. I looked at the error report and it shows an OutOfMemory error. (I can provide a copy of the stack trace if anyone is interested in looking at this problem). I have seen this app run successfully on an HTC Evo 4g. I also took a look at the user reviews on the Play Store, and it seems like most of the devices the app has run on successfully are single-core devices. My knowledge of programming is limited but I'd appreciate if anyone could assist me on trying to get this game to work.
Thx
