Hey guys, i was just searching some cases and accessories for my LG Revolution and i found this: http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/mugen-power-1800mah-extended-battery-for-lg-revolution.html
I was wondering if anyone else ran across this, or better yet, has this to give me some insight on purchasing it or not. Especially with Minecraft Pocket Edition coming out I am going to be doing a lot of 'battery tests'
Edit: Here is a new link with the battery actually in stock! http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUGEN-POWER...ccessories&hash=item5d3074f878#ht_5858wt_1348

That was my first thought... I've seen a researching claiming that Mugen had been passing off batteries with far higher mAH than what they actually claim (as a matter of fact, they stated in many cases, their high mAH batteries were worse than stock).
If anyone goes for this, I'd be curious to see a live study on it.
mugen power? they make honda parts
Dang, was looking for a better or 2nd battery for mine - guess I'll keep looking
Anybody know if the Revolution's battery bay is the same as any of LG's other current models?
Seidio has one of their slightly-denser batteries available with compatibility listed as "LG Thrill 4G/Optimus 3D/LG G2X/Optimus 2X." Capacity on it is 1750.
I obviously can't link to it yet, but I imagine people can figure this out: seidioonline_com/product-p/basi17lgthr.htm

They have a 99.9% positive feedback rating. I'll pick one up when I get paid on the 15th and see how it does.

I think you should go to their official facebook page and check tons of reviews that they post there:
http://facebook.com/mugenpowerbatteries
I use 3300mAh on my Nexus S and I'm happy because the phone lives for 1.5-2 days. Mugen guyes definitely suffer from tons of fakes produced in China.
I'd rather buy 2 oem ones for $20. They're like $11 on ebay. $43 for a battery with 300 more mah? Doesn't sound like the best the best spend of cash personally
I just picked one up. I've been through 2 cycles so far and I'm getting slightly better battery life. The packaging says to go through 3-5 cycles before I'm going to see an increase. I'm going to start carrying 2 batteries as I usually only get about 8-10 hours of battery life and that just doesn't work for me as I use this phone for work and it is not always near a charger. I'll let everyone know as I have more use with it.

Thanks, please keep us posted. I'm generally leery of aftermarket batteries since they usually don't work as advertised or worse yet, leak or explode. But if this works well i'd welcome the extra battery life.
x2 dude thanks for checking this out, ill be watching
I wouldn't buy any battery unless its from stock or Seido. I had a non-stock battery that was from ebay. Brand New. It was fried in a week.
so how is the battery life now that you have had it for a while? is the 1800 mah worth it?

So, I've had the battery about 2 weeks now. Probably been through about 10-12 cycles (I like to full kill my battery before charging). I'm seeing an increase in battery life, not exceptionally significant, but an increase. I would say about 2-3 extra hours with normal use and a much better idle drain (approx 5-7% per hour)
I would say that it was definitely worth the cost. I still have my other battery and a wall charger for it because when I'm traveling, I will need two batteries for sure (late nights and such). BTW, I'm running Re-Homed with Launcher Pro. I do fair amount of texting, calling, surfing. I have all processes automated on the data side with 2 e-mails being pushed, Facebook, and Twitter. I'm a relatively heavy user of date, almost 2gig per month.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
EDIT: Okay, so I was out of town this weekend and I'm thinking I am going to need to get a different phone. Even with the battery, I'm still disappointed with the battery life. If I have a long day and night, my phone has no chance to make it. Really sucks! Not sure what I am going to do, but this won't work. I think the 4g just kills the battery.
ok that sounds good to me... Thanks for doing the trial on this, and I would agree it seems worth the money.. 2 or 3 hours at the end of the day is definitely worth it.

here is a good one, i will probably be ordering.
i mean SEDIO is really pricey, these well are 100 mah less, but like 1/6 the cost..
http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-For-HTC...ryZ15034QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
seidio makes good quality batteries... personally, i would not consider the one in the link you posted because, if battery issues arise, you're pretty much stuck with the battery. conversely, with seidio, if the battery issues arise, i can send it back for a replacement (as long as it's within the warranty period). i've been using the Seidio 1500 mAh battery for 2+ weeks and it DOES provide more "up" time before a recharge is necessary...
i bought this battery only $6 w/ shipping so we will see.!

Glad to know the batteries are great.
Just bought too from the same seller.
Thanks!
Great find. For $7 to my door its worth a try. Even if it isnt the fantastic it will make a great spare.
soo...?
anyone care to comment on how this battery actually performs or if it is having any problems? really interesting find...
thanks, Jim.
no the battery is great. I get through a normal day from around 8 am- 7 pm. on a full charge. BUt... i do use the phone.. Probably around 10-15 minutes of calling, 20 minutes of slingplayer mobile, 20 minutes of internet searching, 10-20 texts, read email once an hour, and listen to music w pocketplayer for X amount of time??? and i still have around 10-20 % battery life left at 6. Since i have the other battery, if im going out that night, i can just flip it out and its good, but for the whole work day and that amount of use (i have screen on full brightness as well.) it works great. When the screen is not fully bright i can get through the night easliy as well (hard to read in sunlight though...)
i also bought the digipower power extension (3400 mah battery pack) this is for skiing. I put it in my camelpack, and it lasts the entire ski day while playing music, with then some to spare. That is only $30 and its about the same size as the phone. The other great thing is that can also work for airplanes as well as it plugs into usb , so any usb device!! still only $7 for the 1400 mah batt, not badd....
thanks
thank you very much for that great detailed response. is that more than what you would normally get out of your OEM 1100mah battery?
like what would those figures have been had you been using the original battery?
Thanks very much, Jim.

And you're still not quite sure...
the 1400Mah one for $7 fits in the OEM case?
also, would u still have bought it given the choice of the new 2000MaH battery from seidio?
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=927
Yeah, the 1400mah fits the original case.
No, I would not consider a 2000mah battery because of:
- The price
- The bulk
- The additionnal back plate.
14$ for two 1400mah battery.
15$ for a desktop cradle dual battery charger.
S/H included.
That's all I will ever need!

well the stock battery is "good". but im not gonna give away $7 (even tho thats not much) if its not going to do anything more than the stock battery. thats...completely pointless. i was just trying to get some #'s on the stock battery vs the ebay one to see if it was even worth bothering with.
The only reason i'm slightly wary is that it's not OEM...
Is this something I should be worried about? would TEP through sprint still take care of me in store? I hate asurion...
my batt arrived

Hi, sorry I wasn't subscribed to this thread.
Yes, they seem to work fine. I haven't compared them to the OEM battery in any sort of analytical way. My reception and programs I run vary so much that it would be pretty difficult to do a fair comparison. My anecdotal experience is that they work comparably to the original. How long they'll last (#cycles), who knows. If there's anything specific you want me to test, let me know. Yes, CDMA version of the vogue (Sprint Touch).
I also bought one, and he shipped a different battery that didn't fit. He insisted that I email a photo of the battery to prove it which I did. He said I was right, he had sent the wrong battery, and he would send me the right one. He also wants me to (at my cost) mail him back the wrong battery he sent me. I told him I would only do that when he puts $1.80 (cost of mailing it to Hong Kong) into my PayPal account since it was his mistake not mine. After numerous inquiries he finally responded that he has shipped a replacement, but it is almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received it.
Thought I'd share this, i felt this is very significant.
I recently got this in yesterday. Its hard to give a real review since us sprint hero users got a 1500, which a bump to 1800.. it's supposedly a 20% increase for us.
What I noticed is how the battery is now able to handle the drain from wireless tethering.
With the old battery, it got hot super fast when i used the phone for wireless tethering. Now its been about 15 mins, and the phone doesn't feel hot at all with the new battery.
I hope this helps anybody who is on the fence with getting the 1800 maH mugen battery.

So this battery doesn't require a new battery door?
After 5-7 days post back and let us know how significant the increase of battery life is in daily use. Thanks!

i ordered thhat battery a long time ago well at least it seems that way, checked tracking and i should be getting it tommorow, if you order it expect 10+days to receive it.......
i got mine in two days ago and the battery life seems worst than my stock battery. when i reset my phone it loses bout 10% just from the restart? right now the battery doesnt even last me a full day without recharging i hope after the 4 or 5 drain cycles it will get better. anyone else experiencing this? plus the battery voltage seems a bit high. i'm at 4.185V. can someone else with this battery confirm there voltage when fully charged?
How does this compare to what Seido offers?
Any one who owns gonna answer the battery door question???? lol. This might go on my christmas list.
no need for new battery door..
as far as the guy having drain problems, I dont have that problem.
I even have things turned on now that I didn't before like always on mobile, all the gps stuff...

I ordered one of these last night. By the time I woke up, I already had tracking info in my inbox. That's a plus.
I figure for $32 and change, it's not going to be the end of the world if it doesn't function better than my OEM battery.

I suggest to all those who havent bought it yet, and are planing to, please wait for some time if its not urgent, MOMAX will surely come out with a "X-LEVEL" battery for the HD2!
I have used the MOMAX X-LEVEL battery for my previous Touch HD, and it was like around 20% more long lasting than the Original battery by HTC.
interesting. im doing the last full empty to full charge cycle (ive heard its good for the battery) and this is day 3 (21:00) iver used the phone couple of times a day for calls (short ones) and for a few youtube vids via 3.5g some games and just playing around with it.
ive noticed battery drains very fast when using wifi and data connection.
so a 10 to 20 % increase in battery life might not be that exciting.
unless i buy one as a backup battery.
might do that..pls keep me posted
i will be keeping an eye on this thread as i just scrap through a day with the original battery... its gettign me down
must add thou, how is it better being less mAh ?
in the same size? I mean you don't need another back cover..?

Haha! ^This^ - If I just leave the phone sitting there, on the desk - Battery life is good. But, I bought this phone to play with, dammit! I can use up 30/40% of battery before lunch surfing, tweeting, watching vids, listening to podcast etc, Oh - and feeding my addiction to crayon physics. I have actually had to invest in a 'manbag' (dear Lord, the shame!) in order to cart around my charger.
Coming from a Nokia E71 - which had a phenomenal battery life (i'd get three/four days of heavy use) it's a bit of a shock, but understandable - after all, screen is about 4 times the size! However; physically, the E71 battery (BP-4L) was no larger - if anything seemed slightly smaller in my recall - and was a 1500mAh beast. Surely HTC could have crammed in a little more juice without having the resort to turning the slim HD2 into a less handsome Quasimdo figure with the promised extended battery? Oh well, I shall stick to the manbag for now.
Amazing! Where do you people find this information on batteries and chargers such as the Momax!!! In relation to this subject: has anyone spotted the double capacaty battery and matsching backplate for the HD2, you know the one that has been rumuroing arout on other forum threads on the Leo (with the picture where the stand leg comes out of the back plate).

I'm looking to bring my Vogue back to life with the newer Android stuff but first I need a battery. I have a older 2400mAh battery but it's run it's course + I hate the huge backplate/buldge. So does anyone know what's the cheapest and highest capacity battery that fits with the normal backplate?
I saw this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Battery-1700m...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item4a99b65f5d
..but I'm not sure 1) if it's really 1700mAh or 2) if it fits into the original plate.
Any suggestions? Or am I better off getting two 1100mAh batteries "OEM" versions are going for $4-$5 -- btw, are they really OEM?
I am in the same boat... hoping to keep my Vogue around for as long as possible... nothing much better (IMO) on SERO and can't bring myself to leave them.
I am wondering if it is worth it to spring for name brand battery (mugen, etc) or to just get an el-cheapo. Realistically, I'll probably only be able to squeeze another year or so out of this phone, so my biggest concern is with it lasting through the day with heavy usage, not overall lifespan.
I carry around a second standard vogue battery in my wallet haha, no need for extended stuff

I got a couple from this guy on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-OEM-HTC-Tou...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item4cee9865ec The ones I got are not what is pictured in this auction but they had the same identification markings as my original battery(Model: BTR6900). They appear to be oem but I don't know if they are new. One of the two batteries i ordered was swollen and would not fit my phone but he sent me a replacement pretty quick and i did not have to return the bad battery. The battery life seems to be just as good as when i first got my vouge.
Two batteries, less than $10 shipped, hard to go wrong.

I'm sorry if there's a topic about it. I browsed for it, but the XDA app crashes whenever I try to search.
I'm considering ordering this battery. Had anyone had any good or bad experiences with it? I'm finding that the stock battery just isn't quite enough. Do you get the expected extra ~30% run time based on the capacity difference? Does it run too hot or anything? Thanks in advance for any input.

I love and swear by my 1750. You will get a lot of people in here saying it is crap, but I assure you it is not. If you want a battery to last the full day and not increase the size of your phone the 1750 is for you. I have had no issues with it getting to hot. Just a word for the wise....
When you get it follow the instructions. Let it charge for several hours after full charge. Im talking twelve hours or so if you can spare. You wont regret it.
I have the 1750 and it works great, does as advertised. Gets me through a day at 1.152 GHz of mid-heavy use, I'm not complaining

Thanks for the input. What do people say about it? Just that it's not worth the "premium" price a la the first post here?
EDIT: Also, I'd consider the larger extended batteries, but I use my phone as a GPS frequently and thus can't deal with an extended back.
It's nice to have but I've become so used to plugging up that I have a way/somewhere to charge almost everywhere I go anymore. It does allow me the luxury of being able to not plug up for longer.
I've started swapping out my 1750 for my stocker and letting them charge on my docking stations for a day or so...seems to help a little.

When I was looking for a replacement battery and searching the forums many different people claimed it didn't work as advertised. That it did not last any longer than the stock battery. In my experience this is not the case at all. Also the price is a little heavy but worth it to me at the time. I would check ebay for it now though.
1750 is an over priced, under performing piece of ****. Go on ebay and for $8.90 you can get a original HTC 1500.

Why would you say that? I've had the 1750 since a week after I got my DInc and it always over performs. I've had days where my phone was on for 26 hours with 20% left. The Sedio batteries are wwaaayy better than the crap HTC Taiwanese ones. Sedio is a Japanese cell. You pay for quality.
EDIT: STOP ADVERTISING YOUR BATTERIES TOO

Advertising what? A good deal? I wasted my money on the 1750 so I would know. Why pay $40 for it when the HTC 1500 performs the same.
There's some spec sheets floating around that shows HTC batteries perform at their rated mah while seidios 1750 and 3500 fall short.
And here's that sheet:

I bought a 1750 for my Eris and use it with my Dinc without any problems.
I have one, and use it regularly. Its capacity is not staggering, but noticable over stock.
I have one and would recommend it. I compared it to my stock battery a while back, and found that it charges at about the same rate (in percentage, so it charges faster technically), gives 1 extra hour under full load, and 2-3 extra hours under mixed load.
See. I told you hater trolls would show up.
Still Skeptical ...... hhhmmmmmm

This ^^^^^
Bought both the 1750mah and the eBay OEM 1500mah from bidallies and love it. 15$ and lasts twice as long as that sedieo crap. Sold that thing after two months of use. Have since bought an extra 1500 as spare and bought several more for friends and family with the Inc.

Ive noticed mine lasts maybe an hour or 2 longer then the stock battery, not worth the price tag in my opinion.
rubbish, its good for the first month. after that it dies faster than the stock. get a hero battery and call it a day
I purchased an 1800mah battery from htcexpressdotcom for $20 and it works great. Same size as the stock 1300 too.
