[ROM] [Port] Deodexed T959VUVKD1 Stock 2.2.1 Froyo & SGSII Theme [5/5/2011]

This is ported VUVKD1 ROM which is an official update from Samsung for Vibrant 4G.
- Deodexed
- Rooted
- BLOAT included
- Stock boot and shutdown animation
- EDT GPS fix
- Movie link to "inception" was removed
- 4G status icon was removed to avoid confusion
- KB1 modem
- Bali 1.8.2 Voodoo kernel
Like most ROM, flash using CWM and wait for about 10 - 15 minutes, then reboot.

Is this ROM compatible with the original Samsung Vibrant (3G)? I'm a bit confused since it references that it is a "port" from the 4G. I don't want to install it on my 3G version and screw it up. Thanks kindly.

No but you can put it in yourself. I already included rambooster with this ROM and Bali kernel also already have its own built in tweak which include good battery life. Give it a try ..

Does this include the badges on the MMS and EMail apk's that the 4G has?

You can use other kernel if you want, is not dependent on Bali. I haven't try any other changes besides mount point so haven't notice it. Looks like I'll find out soon enough since I'm working to port whitehawkx's power/lock options. As for menu lag .. yeah it does .. on and off for me. Any idea how to get that fix?

Have tried and tried. You can use button remapper and it fixes it BUT kills home key...

Hope the menu lag gets fixed someday... does the SGS4G also have this menu lag or is it only after porting it?

good atleast it boots i noticed a bug with the market ill post a fix in a min... its slow because i used an old stock kernel

Only thing i found so far is that the backlights dont rotate...otherwise its pretty darn smooth and fast!!!!

Havent happend to me, but when i left Market i got the white Htc kinda like a reboot but it didnt reboot....dunno what it was happend once.

Can someone grab a log cat of it boot looping? I have it running on mine perfectly, just flashed before I uploaded it. Maybe a corrupted upload. I don't know.

Quick settings have been unlocked on the Sense 1.0 gingerbread leak, most of the roms have them now. Sk806 figured out it, there's a thread for it out there.

It is a 2.1 feature, but it is buried/hidden in the Incredible Gingerbread update and Sk806 was able to figure out how to unhide it. I think there are still a few features he is trying to get working, but most of it works.

FAQ:
Q: What is the clock on the presentation?
A: Its UCCW with Clocker Skin and on the newer one its a part of NPC-UI (search)
Q: When I download I get an .htm file not a zip, did I do something wrong?
A: No you didnt. Its been reported, that if you download directly to your phone you will get a .htm file. If thats the case, simply rename it to .zip and you can flash it. If you download on your PC that issue wont appear
Q: I am getting boot loops, is the theme not working properly?
A: Before I upload the theme I try to make sure everything works and it usually does, which is why you need to check:
1. You have a GSM Galaxy Nexus
2. You have the correct theme zip for you Paranoid Android ROM version
3. Paranoid Android ROM is flashed properly
4. The theme zip should be between 25-37 MB for now
5. You flashed correctly via CWM
If you did all that, then the theme should work perfectly^^
Q: My recents background leaves a gap on the right side, whats wrong?
A: If that is the case, then please go into your paranoid settings and set your systemUI.apk's dpi to 245 and layout to Tablet UI. Works perfect for me and will do tgat for you,too.
Q: Will this ROM work on my Toro device?
A: Well the theme was made for a maguro device, so there might be some issues. But many have confirmed, that it works on toro devices. So if you are wondering, if it works, than plz dont ask. But if you have the courage, make a Nandroid Backup and try. If it works post it to help the others out, which arent as brave^^
Q: How can I revert back to normal Paranoid Android ROM?
A: I uploaded a Back-to-Stock zip, which you can flash for the correct version of the theme and ROM.
Q: Whats the difference between the normal zip and the blue one?
A: The normal zip will give you exactly what you see on the screenshots, while the blue will give you the softkeys in ICS Blue and also the signal and Wifi symbols.
Q: My devices shows 4G when connected to mobile data, why is that?
A: I changed the H to aG symbol, because I thought it looks cooler^^
Q: My battery in the statusbar says I have 15%, but in fact its 11.
A: Well currently the statusbars battery only displays in 15% steps, which means it will display 15 despite it really would be 9 or 10. That might change in future builds, but not yet.

go into your app drawer and create a weather widget on your desktop you access the settings thru that.

hmmmm.... I go to add the widget, and it will not let me select one, as the Weather category is empty. I will try to get a screen shot.

The 'category' for Weather is there, but when you go in to the category to find the widget, there is nothing there, it is blank. Very odd!

So this rom is great but i'm not really looking for a full featured rom and I could see this being one of those so i was wondering if you split the rom into two versions. One version can have theams ,min battery, etc and the other version can be a lite version that concentrates on de-bloating and speed (Like XtreStoLite Rom).

Awesome rom, but I have a question, what would cause blue tooth audio share to skip every 15 to 20 seconds?
Stock, there were no issues, and flashing this twice cause blue tooth audio stuttering. Is there any tweak I can do to maybe increase the audio priority, or amount of media buffered and sent?

The purpose of this rom was to ahve one rom for both devices its dificult to maintain multiple roms, so not likely gojng to be two versions

i installed unity rom V1.0.0 (Stable Release Date: 2014-09-07), but today i see an update of 2014-09-25, so i want to know how can i update my rom from my device

i installed unity rom V1.0.0 (Stable Release Date: 2014-09-07), but today i see an update of 2014-09-25, so i want to know how can i update my rom from my device

Not sure where your seeing the updated date but there us no new release as of yet.

thats the date that i updated the thread with some new information or added information the rom has not been updated as of yet

No, there is no ota updates for this rom only download and flash
