Mugen MUSCLE-BATTERY: 1800mAh

did any1 got this monster ?
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...d-battery-for-htc-legend-bb00100-1800mah.html
it's about 47$
if u do please tell me how it performs ... i heard and read that legend battery isn't quite impressive :| ... i really like this phone ! if someone tried tell me plz! i'm lookin 2 buy a legend myself ( i own a blackstone and is ... about same thing : with light usage hardly 2 days ! )
Legend battery sucks. Anyone had any experience with the mugen brand?
To bad they dont tell what the Whr of the battery is.
And all the "reviews" are of other batteries and a few years old.
Wonder how the managed to engineer a 50% bigger capacity battery in the legend since there is no margin for any physical increase of the battery.
jjs87: Why? The battery can't run on a different voltage so the capacity in mAh is clear enough.
Has the battery been tested?
Any new infos?
come on guys we wanna know!

If you're that anxious, why don't you buy it yourself, then you can post your findings here..
Can't we find find those batteries for a bit less expansive?
47 € is not particuliary expansive, but if I can find for less money it would be cool.

I haven't bought it yet because my Legend is new
And for that i Don't know it's real power. At the end of The day with 3g or WiFi always on i have about 30-50% for now.
I bought one, but it is currently out of stock. I think, it will ship July 9th?
When I receive it, I will review it and post my results. I am surprised someone has not yet already done this.
Someone on a Dutch forum has this battery and will report in a few days. I will post his findings here!
tks, i look forward to know how it behaves, but from what i've red, Mugen is an awsome brand with lots of quality products.
lets wait and see

Did he buy it from the same place TC posted or did he get it from a shop in Holland?
I hope the latter since I'm anxious for a hicap battery for my Legend
Yes, I think he bought it on the same website. He hasn't posted anything at the moment though..
Edit:
First review from a Dutch forum (translated from Dutch, so it might be a little iffy):
I've got the Mugen Power Extended Battery for HTC 1800mAh Legend BB00100 a few days now. Enough time (following the instructions) to fully charge and empty the battery a few times. I drained the battery by leaving the phone running Google Maps navigation. Yesterday and today was the first normal use.
Old situation: Before I had this battery, I was happy if the battery could make it through one working day. With light use in the morning, and in the evening with 40-50% left to do some web browsing. If I didn't put it on the charger at night, the next morning it was about 15%, not enough to start the day. Under normal to heavy use I never made it to the end of the day without charging in between.
New situation: With the same kind of usage it's about 70% in the evening. Again some web browsing before bed and no charger. This morning there was still 43%.
Conclusion: I still put it on the charger because I'm still unlikely to make it through an entire day. But what's clear is that I can make it easily through one day even with heavier use, no more charging in between. That makes the purchase worth for me.
Don't expect that you now can navigate for hours without draining your battery because that won't change. That was exactly what I hoped it would cause. Nothing more annoying than a device to with normal to heavy use that won't make it through one day. Striking is that the Battery Graph program (from where I get these measurements) shows that this battery longer stays at 100% and about as steep downhill runs compared to the standard battery.

Hi,
What about the size of the Mugen Power Extended 1800mAh Battery? Is it the same size as the original 1300mAh one? If not, how much bigger it is? Any photos?
On Mugen website it says:
"The extra size and weight increases pale into insignificance when you consider the true convenience the battery gives... it represents excellent value for money."
Thanks!
hey guys, consider searching a topic i think it's here @ xda about batteries.
It's ridiculous, the best battery currently is the original one from HTC.
All the others either don't have the announced capacity, or don't fully charge.
if I find it i'll update this post.

Thanks, Mafiatounes. I thought that logically, but was confused by the statement on Mugen's website ("The extra size and weight...").
So, is it worth buying?
For me its worth buying my legrnds standard battery runs for 8h of heavy use and I need about 12h at least I think only mugen can provide that amount of power

HTC 1500mAh for HTC Droid Incredible

Buying the 1500mAh battery by HTC from htcpedia.com really helped my battery life.
It is like an average phone now. I took my phone off the charger at 6am this morning. It is now almost 3pm and my phone has not died yet... and mind you I have been on it for 4 hours HARD!! I've been browsing.. Market... texting.. talking.. you name! (Except gaming, and streaming)
I bought the 1500mah by HTC because of two reasons:
It was made by HTC (a known name)
It fits in perfectly without buying a thicker back covering (huge plus!)
Don't really trust Seido (Don't know them too well)
My steps once I got my battery.
Bumped Charged
Wiped Battery Stats
Drained Battery (until it cut itself off)
Bumped Charged again
Another note to notice is the batter stats from rival phones of the incredible:
iPhone 4: 1420mAh
Droid X: 1570mAh
EVO: 1500mAh
Nexus: 1400mAh
I got these stats from here.
Seeing these stats make me wonder WHY did HTC ship the Droid incredibles with 1300mAh??
Also... how in the world is Seido fitting those 1750mAh in there? Or are they REALLY fitting in 1750mAh? Hmm...
The 1500mAh provided by HTC puts my Droid Incredible battery life up there with the big boys
**I'm not putting down the Seido company nor saying that there batteries are flawed. All I am stating is that I don't know how they are doing it**

You think this is the same battery? http://amzn.to/cS3liO Do you mind tell me if either of these numbers are listed?
# ASIN: B003YM9ANY
# Item model number: 35H00123-22M
Model #: RHOD160
Rating: 3.7VDC == 1500mAh
5.55Whr
Would you mind telling me what % your battery was at by 3pm as you stated? Saying it hasn't died yet could mean like 3% remaining, ya know, to which I'd say I get similar stats with my 1300.
I too am in the market for a new battery and was unfamiliar with this one until this post. I have been eyeing the seidio battery but reading about its heat issue is worrysome. (Which reminds me, any comment on the heat?)
Thanks for sharing your info
I use this battery, too. If I go all day, wihout plugging it in, after 12 hours, I'm down to about 25%. After 14 hours, it's time to either charge it, or put my other battery in.
I also took the op's advice and just recieved this. What does wiping the bat stats do though?

I bought the HTC TP2 1500 mah battery for $15 shipped off ebay and it appears to be the same battery the OP posted but black instead of red. I bought from the seller bidallies and the battery appears to be a legit HTC OEM battery.
I notice a drastic difference in battery life, and I don't have to charge my phone in the late afternoon. Definately worth it.

My take on "Wiping Battery Stats" is that it deletes the information that tells your phone that it is fully charged and when it is low. Wiping those stats cause for it to monitor and record new stats to base off of.

i have been using those batteries for about 2 weeks and have noticed a slight increase in charge time. the main thing for me is not having to charge the phone just swap batteries and more importantly NO BUMP CHARGING. that is a huge pet peeve of mine. but i digress. i have used extended batteries but i prefer the look of a slim phone. i normally don't need an extended or extra battery but it is nice to know that if i need the juice i have it. i don't recall which site i read it on but it was reviewed by android central i believe.

Well, that battery performs more or lese like the stock one. I can barely get one day out of it.
No point spending money on "good" batteries.. Buy $2.80 ones and switch regularly.

Hi Sckank, thanks for the update. So, it's simpler and cheaper to buy another stock battery or an external battery pack that you can use to charge other devices.
Again, thanks. Anil.
Don't really c the point of buying a new battery..
Works decent..if it gets discharged, almost everyone has a mini usb to usb cable and while travelling, just get a belkin ac to dc converter..i think it has two sockets and a usb port..connects to the 12v cigarette lighter outlet in the car.. n doesn't hurt the car's battery as long as its connected when the engine is running or the car battery is fully charged..

[Must read]About to buy a 2430mAh battery?

Hi,
I guess you are about to buy a 2430mAh battery (made in Japan?) so I am going to tell you about it. I bought one in ebay from "kknsell"(1st attached)
I have to keep this one because return shipping it is not worth the refund
I don't know how this guy can have so many positive feedbacks and so few negative ones. Whatever, DON'T trust him, he wont email you back once you have bought it!
I'll tell you, I full charged it and wiped battery stats. Then I discharge it to calibrate, but it didn't take too much because after setting screen to max. and playing Apparatus I could see the battery draining fast as hell, about 1% in less than a minute, sometimes it looked like a timer!
You might think "You must have calibrated it wrong", but then I charged it 20 seconds, wiped battery stats and fully charged it again. Now it last about 70% of original battery life. I don't know if it's safe enough but sometimes it overheats a bit.
Now there are 2 different batteries left(2 last Attached)
I dont know about them but these don't have the text printed in landscape and have a sightly difference between them. May one of these is not a fake one so if any of you have bought a real 2340 battery please post it to help other people not to get scammed
Hi!, i'm chilean and here some people are selling this battery too. This guy recommended to fully charge the battery and it takes a week to calibrate :/
PD: sorry for my english :s
Battery life doesn't fully depend on the capacity but the brand and quality of the cells used

Are you using an original battery? I used to solve this issue with an app called "battery calibration" or doing something I read a month ago but I can't find the post
I just remember it was something like this:
1- Discharge the battery till the phone powers off and leave it alone for 10 minutes
2- keep turning it on till it doesn't get to boot animation
3- enter in recovery menu and wipe battery stats quickly, if you didn't have enough power just charge it for 30 seconds and retry
4- leave it alone for 5 minutes and charge it for 5 hours
This is not mine, I don't know who was the author but all credits go to him
Also this can be dangerous especially with a li-ion polymer battery as a 2430 mAh is, because when li-ion batteries overcharge they can explode and when discharge too much they break down and can catch fire if charged
Thanks for your post sir. I almost bought that one. whew
Battery Calibration how to guide
First of all. Please notice, if it doesen't work for you, if you doesen't experience any change DO NOT KILL YOURSELF! Please don't do it, there are so many thing in this life and in this world, all waiting for you! I wrote this because of 008bond's "advice."
Something about battery calibration.
How-to:
1. Turn on your phone and charge it to full. It's not full when it says "Unplug the charger", it's full when a small green baterry icon with 100% in it appears in the left upper corner.
2. Leave the charger plugged in and turn off your phone. It will charge again for approx. 20 minutes.
3. When it's full get into CWM recovery, go to advanced, and choose wipe battey stats.
4. Rebbot your phone, but do not pull out the charger.
5. Leave it on the charger till the little green icon appears again in the upper left corner.
6. Pull out the charger, use your phone normally (as you use it), till it turns off itself (that's important).
7. Charge it to 100% (you don't have to turn off your phone), and enjoy it.
To make it clear calibration won't make your battery lasts longer. The only thing it does, that your phone will display the correct percentage of the battery, so when your battery is on half power, you will see 50%. Because of this, you will get the correct data, it helps you to estimate when you will have to charge it again. (Before the calibration, my battery usually drained to 20%, and than stay there for almost a day :S)
I usually calibrate it after flashing a nwe rom, or when I feel that something is not good with the battery.
You can use Google to search after it, you'll find this.
Btw: there's an app on Market aka Play, called Battery Calibration, it needs root, it has a user's guide in the main screen, it's quite exactly the same, what I wrote.
How many times must I post this? Those incorrect stats are supposed to be a problem in cyanogenmod ROMs or the new battery itself.
Callibration does absolutely nothing.
XDA thread on callibration. read, comprehend, then argue.

LOL!!! Ok, there you go. I edited my post.
Looking around the Internet I found these batteries, that are available for a lot of phones, are just ****ty blank ones with that golden sticker over. Mine was about 800 mAh according to some apps after running a full cycle.
Some sellers have positive feedback because they sell a lot of accesories, not just batteries, or buyers are resellers that just care about receiving the batteries and they don't use them. But if you look on the negatives feedbacks you'll find out what's happening.
It's logical to think that such a great battery like this with Li-polymer tech and 2430mAh is too cheap for 10$ and a battery cant store doble in the same size even using the best technologies.
So if you want a 2430mAh battery just buy a marker(it's cheaper) and write whatever you want on your battery. To some people placebo effect works just great!
Oh man, I was so close to buying this one too! Thanks a lot for this.
So I'm guessing the only good battery for the Ace would be the 1650mAh one coming out? And not even, 300mAh won't make that much of a difference :/

Looking for usb charger with auto turn off with 2 AMPs!

Hi! I'm looking for a charger with auto turn off with 2 AMPs. I'm in USA so links to local shops or smth like amazon are welcome
Similar to this one, but 2 AMPs NOT 1: http://www.cooperindustries.com/content/public/en/bussmann/consumer/products/chargesmart.html
I want to use it with my battery charger: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB-H1J9VMAGSTA
Because with that thing you can leave your battery to charge for the whole night & not worry that you miss the moment when you should unplug it. It charges exactly as much as needed & doesn't damage your battery!
I wonder why all vendors don't make charges like this one. Maybe to sell more batteries?
Just an FYI but all phones stop charging when the battery gets full.
Also it only costs about $1 per year in electricity to keep charging your phone.
Just use the original charger for the Note2.
At least the european version of the charger delivers 2amps and
when the Phone is full or nothing is connected to it the consumption is so deep that i couldnt measure it.
why not you using your note 2 original charger & cable ?
it sure deliver full 2 Amp and able to cut off power when battery is full
I'm pretty sure what the OP meant is they want an auto-off charger to be used with the battery dock charger. Sure, the phone has an internal controller that stops charging when the battery is full, but I think the OP wants the auto-off feature with charging the battery as well. I'm not completely sure, but I believe there should be a charge controller inside that Samsung dock. If you're up to the challenge, you can take apart your battery charger and see for yourself. Any kind of circuit between the charger and the battery should be the voltage/current regulator, and quite possibly the charge controller.

Just an FYI but all phones stop charging when the battery gets full.
Also it only costs about $1 per year in electricity to keep charging your phone.

1) The phone looses 2-3% overnight. So when it charged to 100% & then looses 1% it starts to charge again. I think it's called "trickle charges" & I was worried if it could reduce the battery's ability to charge to true 100% in the long term.
But I read several articles about it & looks like with today's batteries this is almost not a problem & you can leave your phone to charge overnight.
2) I know that exposure to heat is the worst thing fir litium batteries, but several articles confirmed that there's no such a problem with today's phones & batteries.
& it was not about electricity bill anyway )
& yes I do use both original Samsung charger (travel one with 2 amps) & Samsung docking station to which I posted the link in my first post.
Thank you guys!
Here're the prooflinks to some of the articles I've read about overnight charging, maybe someone wants to read them too:

The problem with lithium ion batteries in our phones is that it has a shelf life rated at 2 years. By the time you were able to wear your battery down through it's rated cycles, it would be time to get a new one anyways. I would suggest to buy a new battery in a year or so which should last the life of your phone if you don't sell it or upgrade.
If you find what you want, awesome. I see it as unneeded waste to buy something like that if integrity of the battery is an issue. Each battery has an IC chip that controls everything needed to operate at its' maximum. Any gains in battery life would be negligible due to its' shelf life. Sorry :/

So the point of my last post is that I'm not going to buy anything. Please read what you're quoting before posting
Or please be explicit? Your post didn't offer any hard impression on me that you were properly informed. Sorry I don't have time to decipher poorly expressed thoughts.
Good night.

So don't be lazy or too willing to get extra +1 in your "Posts" section. If you don't want to "decipher" OP posts then why answer at all?
