Hello
First 10x to all the developers bless you.
got my x8 with ROM stock 2.1 record some videos and voice and was very happy overall the mic gain was good and clear and pic was good,
Then install ROM Gingerdx record some videos and voice and notise that the mic
gain volume are way lower then the stock 2.1 and video not as smooth like stock 2.1 , to me its BIG problem..... did someone else notise it?
p.s new phone didnt fell if i reverse to stock 2.1 mic gain normal
2.1 is very smooth video and mic gain
but 2.3 is very poor perfomance
ask some devs why 2.3 camera poor
I think it is because it is so difficult to just get the camera even to work in 2.3 at all.. I think (I may be wrong) only dx has managed to fix the camera, the other devs use his code or help to do it on their roms.
Maybe with Sony Ericsson acknowledging the freexperia devs and releasing some libs we may see other camera code in the near future??!!
Hi do you mean that if i move to 2.2 custom ROM (Froyobread)
it will fix the camera problems (mic gain)????

I am new here.I have my Galaxy S for about a year now.I Use poweramp with a very nice Klipsch Image S4 in-ear headphones .but the sound quality still lags behind the my ipod touch .I searched the net and found out there are some roms for this.I dont really understand all this.So can neone plz xplain what is this flashing and more importantly how can i improve the sound quality with or without using this roms..
Regards
Try voodoo sound.
There are a bunch of roms that include it, but unless you are planning on flashing anyway, probably just easier to use voodoo control plus app. There's a small fee for the app, but well worth it
ok do i need to root my phone for it? and if so please tell me how to do it...lolz i am a NOOB here
Mmmh, you need to install a custom Rom with voodoo, which is not as easy as it seems, I guess...
just need to root and flash kernel that comes with voodoo sound right ?
Or root and this http://goo.gl/W6MZL no custom kernel required. LIke the cornflake captain said.
I almost have to scream to hear myself when i record a video. I thought maybe it was CM7 problem, but I just tried Modacos latest ROM and the same problem there. In stock ROM, when it was new, the sound was very good. Any ideas anyone?
Hi all, thanks for any help you guys can provide, I have a 4.3.1 on slimbean w/TWRP recovery, Ive read around on threads some issue w/the noise cancelling secondary mic causing issues on the HO. Ever since I rommed to slimbean, (i dont think i was having issues before on stock) my playback sounds have been very low/poor, things like fb have to be max cranked up to hear, through the phone speakers same + i hear crackling. I think its low on the sound memo recordings too but i have no phrame of ref. Wondering if any one has suggestions of what can be done before i decide to revert to stock UI or try a different rom, kinda sorta like this slim rom or maybe im just used to it, im humbled by your alls knowledge and hope i can contribute back in the future...
i got very very low sound when recording videos with my xperia z
im using cm11 custom rom and i tried many many different roms and kernels and the issue still exist
tried fauxsound to increase the camcoder mic gain and its didnt work
the device mic is fine ( i think ) i dont face any problem while making calls and im sure its fine and sensitive enough
the problem only on video and sound recorder
any help ?
Does anybody know how to increase sound?
Hi guys,
so as a musician recording stuff with my phone is quite important because, just like with cameras, the best recording device is the one you have with you when inspiration strikes.
Recording audio was always amazing with the P9. Very good and clear recordings. But since a recent update (i think it was b390 or b394) it distorts way too easily when the source has a certain volume. Making it impossible to record a band practice jam or something like that. And since I record stuff regularly this is definitely something new. So either my microphone is broken or the software has changed.
-->Normally the auto-gain is very good and automatically adjusts the input levels down, so that's what seems to be broken in my case. And that would mean it's just a software issue. Before I start flashing old ROMs I was wondering if you guys could do a little recording test with a loud stereo or something and report your findings (using the stock recording app or stock camera app, video recording with sound).
I'm running a P9 with:
-Bluewei 5.7 b397 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/bluewei-test-crossflash-to-l09-c432-t3608270)
but the issue was also present in the ROM i used before:
-moonlight 5.0 b394 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/p9-moonlight-rom-v1-0-b378-stock-t3567223)
So if you could tell me the software version you're using and how easily it distorts that would be greatly appreciated :good:
cheers
Tested B390 and the problem persisted. So at this point I'm guessing it's either the custom ROMs that cause the issue (I don't have the time to test full stock atm) or my microphone is just broken.
Would be really great if anyone with anything B390 or higher could do a little test...
So just flashed the newest version of:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/p9-moonlight-rom-v1-0-b378-stock-t3567223
And the problem vanished. I guess it was a software issue after all.
