[Q] Please help - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have flashed my Samsung Galaxy s I9000 with Cyanogenmod 7 and i forget to put the (MIUI-MCGv7.6.zip ) in the SDcard internal, and i put it in the external card now I'm stuck in the recovery mod. i can still put the phone in the download mod but i don't know what to do i even pull the battery en put it back its not working it's sty in the recovery mod. i tried to reboot and every time the phone come to the recovery Cynogenmod is their any way to repair this. im not new here but I'm not very familiar with the threat rules so my excuse if i post in the wrong place and my excuse for my broken English.

I menage to put the MIUI.zip in the internal sdcard and i preform and follow all the instruction that shown on the the above rom page but yet no way to get out of the recovery mode.

You're in the right section, however there is a cm7 q&a thread already open.
Are,you trying to flash cm7 or miui?
An Odin flash back to stock should clear the problem. Search for ezbase in dev section.

Scroll down and find i9000. You'll have to sign up for an account, but it's free, and this is largely regarded as the best place to download stock firmwares. You're welcome!

If the phone does not turn on there are not many options. Still can do below:
1. Check battery or try another battery if possible
2. Get help from service center if you are under warranty
3. if not only Jig or Jtag and sometime with the combination of re-partition can help.
I have provided more details in the thread below. There is at least one member who have revived his Note from hardbrick caused by emmc bug as well. So look for more info in that thread. Hope it helps.

btw, it looks like this kind of request for help should go to Q&A thread, though. cheers.

there are tons of guides on Google/xda/YouTube etc..
No reason to panic. Relax
By the way I like cm9 way better then stock GB. Its really smoother.
If you dont feel safe using odin you can still install cm7 or a stock based Rom.

[Q] Is my ace bricked?

I flashed this on Cyanogen mod, now my phone is not turning on, stuck at ANDROID.
When i restore from a backup, i get to the CM7 bootlogo, and a bootloop happens there.
CWM works, i flash a rom, and i get stuck at android.
Try full wipe if bootloop still happen at last flashing again using ODIN...

stock rom - custom kernel

hey guys. im in the process of recovering a bricked optimus 2x, i currently have version 10a on there. but im upgrading via lg to the latest version.
i bricked my phone due to laptop battery died without telling me and i thought it bricked my phone so i posted a previous thread of which users were very helpful and ive got it working again.
but what id like to do now is keep a stock rom, but install a custom kernel so i can overclock and get rid of adds and install other things.
any info would be great. id just like to flash a kernel through clockwork mod already installed on my phone.
thanks guys

System UI zip
I had problems with System UI dozens of time.I don't think that flashing rom again is only way.Somebody could make System UI xxemb5 zip , and we could just flash it via CMW.This will help a lot , cus we could install anything knowing that if we screw up we can easily recover System UI.Flashing again wil delete all your mods , root , and some settings, even if you have a backup.Correct me if I am wrong , but if I am not please help
Hey guys this is the themes and apps section and not the q&a section so please move this thread to the q&a section

I do see your point but as this is requesting an APK file I think it would be allowed in either section really mate.
I could be wrong but I do think it is boarder line as to where this thread could be placed.

Well it may be worth downloading the flashable zip just incase it happens again so then you know tht it will only take 30 seconds without loosing root to fix.
Glad i could help.
And it will happen again, trust me.Gj Nick.
