Android developers should port
MIUI Roms to our devices (LG GT540) !!!
As I am no developer i don't even know where to start!!
So it would be great if a developer could
starting porting the MIUI Rom to our devices!!

I know there are MIUI Launchers but a MIUI Rom
will be more effective as a MIUI Rom is really Speedy
compared to any other Roms!! (But fast battery drainer)!!!

GT540 has Armv6 processor,and all miui-supported devices are armv7,so libs are compiled for that type of processor,they won't work on GT540. And,for those who ask: Why it was ported to Galaxy 3? That's only the framework. Popdog123 said me this.

MIUI is a closed-source project. Therefore we can't make a port. If it was working on another ARM v6 phone, it would be possible, but it isn't.

Why would you want full miui why not just the look of it? thats all you guys tend to look at on youtube vids anyway not how good performance or coding or stability are.
Also just my very frank honest opinion i like things clean cut and proffesional looking with a bit of flare not blocky and over simplified but thats just me.

The Sony ROM that Meitas tried to GT540 was an X8 (ARM v6) ROM.
Also, I wish people will stop asking this question, all posts get the same answer: IT ISN'T POSSIBLE UNTIL MIUI DEVELOPERS RELEASE SOURCES! ARMV6 DOESN'T WORK WITH ARMV7 LIBS!

If you check the github account, you'll see that they've only shared the source of some apps. But, because (what I understand from all MIUI websites) IS only a compilation of modified apps, and I know where to find the other apps. I'll try (as I already announced) to make a port with the dev team v2. But I still need a bigger team So please join!

People a team of developers is required for this task.... nama is interested in doing work for our phone but he says that he needs more developers for this work... since we people from india also cannot donate via paypal because of out stupid policies on online payment....
So I request and recommend you all to think over this.... decide if you want MIUI or CM7 for our phone...
If a lot of people are willing to support and donate nama as well as some other developers who work on this... MIUI or CM7 might be possible!
Think about it and let me know... if response is good and people are willing to participate in development then nothing is impossible ... leave me a PM if any of you jave some ideas over it or post in this thread amd decide in an organized way over what I have said!

Prefer Miui. There are a petition in China forum about asking the MIUI team to port MIUI for i9003 also. But they have been ignored by the MIUI team.
I guess CM7 is now on the progress. Amit is now doing it I thought .

Amit has done some awesome work for I9003 ...but he is very dormant on the XDA forum.
He made an OC kernel for I9003 but has not released it for use till now
Dont know how much has he succeeded in porting CM7 on I9003

Buddy for me any rom miui or cm7 will do... also I know that amit is poeting but as soodgautam said... amit is dormant on xda right now...
No doubt amit is a good developer!
Any idea why miui team rejected the petition? Less people applying in petition or they want money?

No idea. But may be I9003 is not popular enough.
Edit: As I said previously, MIUI is based on cyannogenmod, if there are not cyannogen ported for us. It is impossible to have miui.

fxzy, bro I thought that this phone might've gained good popularity in asia but it seems I am wrong...
People are slowly buying this mobile phone.... galaxy sII is the phone of choice right now!
And it is expensive ...
Our only hope is amit if he comes up with working cm7 maybe other developers can work with amit and first roll out a stable cm7 ... then we all can think about miui...

miui has not provide the sources but cyanogenmod has provide the sources
I know dude for both we need knowledge of linux coding...i started off with downloading the tools required for building cyanogen...and i used droid x as a starting point since our phone is almost similar to it!!

Hey guys, so recently I've been looking for resources and stuff and I found this rom called LeWa Os. It's similar to MIUI in terms of themes, customization, initial theme when you first flash it, but it's based on CM7 so it has CM features. I took the time to port it to our beloved Atrix and will do my best to fix out the remaining bugs... It's running on Android 2.3.7 and has awesome eyecandy + fluid performance ...
It's based on the latest CM7 Nightly:

Shouldn't you know this by now...you've been around long enough.
This ROM it's really really reaaallly fast... I didn't even overclock it and it flies, .
The only thing I can't find is the option to use my "internal storage". Hope you can help me here.
Looking forward for updates, this is a great ROM with great potential.

It's a brand new rom. Unexpected things can happen.
I know CM7 is the base and its stable, but I still want to be safe.
I dont know about you, but my Atrix is my only phone.
I'm willing to test different things, but preferably in a safe way.

I dont know about german. And koolsavas joyos was ported from htc tattoo and it was based on old cm7. I have ported from galaxy y and it is based on latest cm nightly and latest cm kernel.

As far as I know it's because official JoyOs rom has been suspended with gingerbread release, there isn't an ics or jb version of it.

@AndroidAddiction are you using libandroidruntime.so from cm7 for wildfire or from the device you ported the rom?
When I ported joyos with KoolSavas that lib was causing the issue with gmaps.
Nice I want to try it but my Scumbag little brother broke my Wildfire :banghead:

Ok, it's the correct one :good: So maps FC shouldn't be realated to that lib.
Hey guys as you all know that the old willdfire index thread is outdated and the owner has stopped updating it. I therefore decided to start a new one. It will be (hopefully) regularly updated.
Important: Please note that I am a human being like you so dont expect me to index all the roms in one day. Although I will fully try to update it but we have a new ported rom almost everyday so dont shout at me if I am late. Infact, mine still alive, coz it's the most stable, so it's great, but there was another build by wasim who was great also.But keep mine, it doesn't matter.
There released some new ROMs!

Yeah... CM10.1 is released, thanks to you know who Sasa he actually done it, although contains bugs, but in other words it's great to see cm10.1 on our wildfire!

He is a developer but he is making (or porting) a ROM based on CM7.2 just like alot of ROMS for our device. Biel and the rest of the BroadcomCM team are working on the Cyanogenmod, it may no be possible to fix ALL the bugs due the lack of driver source code. Though, CM7 is very stable and I use it as my daily driver.

yes you use ur cm7 daily but you paid for a camera that can flash in same time, with cm7 u cant flash while recording a video. what if u need that feature sometime? I prefer having an animation bug than a flashlight. and the price of the device is getting low cause of those bugs that occur cm7

the thing is that you paid for a device that is able to use flash while recording.! it doesnt matter if you have armv7 processor let say the best; huge ram etc etc. that is just a toy without the core things. think a bit dude

Yes i did pay for a camera and video that has flash. And i got what i wanted. Stock Rom. Samsung didn't say cm7 will work, did they? Its your own fault.
...And flash while recording is not a useful feature.

If so you can turn the torch on and then record the video.
