hi there,
is it possible for HTC Viva to mirror with TV or watch videos/photos with TV using AV output cable?
i found something like this:
http://www.integrontech.com/HTC-TV-Out-Cable-AC-T110-for-HTC-p/htc-tv-out.htm
it states that HTC Viva is compatible, but i doubt it.
anyone willing to clarify?
your advise is very much appreciated.
thank you

Hy I have a Kaiser and I would know if there is the possibility to connect my smartphone to the Tv with this cable:
http://www.expansys.it/p.aspx?i=170917
I also see some post of xda and I see some thread talking about some software or drivers for the settings of tv out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452077
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419391
and also for the htc diamond:

could it be possible to do also on Kaiser??
(it's my first thread and I''m sorry for my english )
could someone help me??
The Kaiser does not have the necessary hardware for TV out, so even with all the necessary cables and software, it still won't work.
ok
thanks a lot
Hi,
Anyone knows if the new HTC MediaLink DLNA Adaptor that was released for Desire HD and others, it's compatible with HD2?
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/pt/p_htc_item.aspx?i=207011
Thanx
Great!
I wanna know too, but i think so if HD2 was running a Desire HD rom.
i think it won´t. this just makes your tv dlna enabled and not the phone. the hardware in the hd2 is missing to use dlna with it.

What hardware would be missing from HD2? It just uses wifi for dlna I think.
Is it definitely a hardware rquirement needed? Not e.g. a software fix that could be done via Android?
actually to test this i used my hd2 some time ago to stream it to a windows 7 pc.
so the hardware is enabled.
and won't just every dlna hdmi media player work, also the cheaper one
lots of things can be used as a DLNA link, such as the xbox 360, ps3 and a media center running XBMC or Boxee. really no point in buying this for so much but is so limited. buy a first gen apple tv and but boxee and XBMC on it. its much cheaper and u get SOOOO much more out of it.
Desire HD Rom and DLNA
You can enable dlna in the desire hd and desire z builds by going into wireless - wifi and hitting the selection button and then selecting advanced settings.
In this menu, at the bottom, you can enable dlna.
You need the receiving unit to be dlna compatible. Windows 7 is. I used my hd2 running the desire hd and desire z builds to stream content to windows 7.
I also tried with the xbox but was not able to for some reason. If anyone knows how to do it, I would like to know.
IMO The issue is more the receiving than the transmitting unit.
The HTC medialink just acts as a receiver and then converts the signal to hd using hdmi connector.
The connected media tab also allows you to play content from your network media on your phone such as pictures and music. I'm still looking for a solution for playing movies however.
DLNA is a protocal standard so in theory as long as ANY device is adhereing to that standard then it will work with this HTC media link. I've got DLNA working on my HD2 so I would expect it to work here.
I own a SGS and I am wondering if you could use the Phone to display video (e.g. from a camcorder) like an external monitor? As you can use the output to stream to a TV it might be possible to use that reverse? Does a driver allready exist?
TIA

Hey guys I am currently running a LG 42LG30 TV. Im wondering if the chromecast will work for the TV. It has a HDMI and USB port, but ive seen that if you have an oldish TV the audio might not work? Sorry if I sound like a noob. The TV does not support ARC if that is relevant. Sorry If I do not include something. Also should I hold on getting updates if I do get it and go for root? Or anything like that. Unfortunately I am unable to include a link to the TV as I am a new member, easy to find on amazon.

You will get audio on your TV speakers unless there's something incredibly wrong.
Do you have an audio system? Sound bar, AV receiver? If not, nothing to worry about.

Should work with any HDMI. You only need ARC if you want to output audio from your TV (to a sound bar or something else).

Could you use regular font size in future, it's very unpleasant to read current huge fonts!
HDMI is a standard and regardless if you have v1 or v1.4 ports it should work properly. As far I know Chromecast has HDMI 1.4. You may look at TV manual for HDMI version info but I doubt if it's there. For more info about HDMI version changes please read text from link below.
