{Help} Apps2SD on Cyanagens 3.2)

i have CM3.2 with his new recovery img (1.1)
i have seen alot of ways to do apps2sd, but what is easiest most stable way to do it with his ROMS
*i have unpartitioned 4gb Class 6 Card. Need a step by step that will go smooth with his ROM...thanks ahead of time
First partition your sd card so it has Fat32 & Ext3 (in that order). On my 4Gb I use 3.5Gb for storage (fat32) and 500Mb for apps2sd (ext3)
Upgrade to CM 3.4 (To support ext3) and load recovery and click the "move apps to sd"

his roms only support ext3 now? but if i use ext3, if i later want to use hero will my apps2sd still work or will i have to redo it?

[Q] SD card partitioning - what are the benefits?

I just flashed CM6RC3. A few days ago my sd card received errors so I ended up formatting it. While doing this I stumbled upon the SD partition options in rom manager and ra.
So I set them 32mb swap, 512mb ext3, rest fat32 (16gb card).
When I install apps and use App2SD I don't see much of a benefit since the apps are just moved to the fat32 partition. And not all apps support being moved.
Am I correct in these assumptions? Or am I missing something?
Exactly what and how does the ext3 partition do for my android?
You can use alternative Apps2SD and move all your apps to the ext3 partition.
In that case, your widgets can also be moved, and your apps won't be terminated when you mount your phone as USB drive.
should i be using ext3 or 4?
do i need swap at all? i've search and found contradicting posts

[Q] Question on App2SD Settings

I am new for App2SD.
I partitioned the 16G SD Card by Swap 32M, Ext2 1028M, Fat32 reminder and up Ext2 to Ext3 by RA 1.62 recovery and then I install evil rom v1.16 version.
When I install new app into the phone, it consumed more internal space for the phone.
After I use titanium backup move app to sd card (such as Map, Flash 10.1). The space in the phone remain unchanged.
Do I do the steps wrongly?
Thanks for your advice.

Setting up a2sd, partitioned 1gb ext3 on SD card, only 152mb memory available a2sd?

I am totally baffled by this. I've had a2sd working once before, but this time it just won't work. I flashed cyanogen 6.1.1 for my phone, Nexus One, and added google apps by flashing that too, and the rom works fine.
I have partitioned my SD card with 30gb FAT, 1.1gb ext3, 60mb swap and the rest free. I then flashed darktremor. Now, when I open titanium backup pro, I see the bar for a2sd showing free space, and it says 152mb total, 20.2mb free.
Why do I not have the full size of my ext3 partition available?
What can I do to fix this?
Thanks guys
I have the same problem! Before starting a new thread I thought of posting it here,
I partitioned SD with Amon RA recovery (2.0.1) first with EXT2 and converted to EXT3
I have similar amount of memory, 138mb ! Isnt the partition made with recovery detected by the ROM?
Details : Fat32 3.5GB, EXT3 512MB
Look HERE the internal memory doesnt show the memory in the EXT partition. But apps get installed in there when you install them normally. Just check if your A2SD+ is working by the Quick System Info market app.
I read the whole thread A-Z, I suggest newbies do the same to get an understanding.
EDIT: DATA2SD shows this as the internal memory!

Migration to new MicroSD Card

im currently buy a 16gb Class10 MicroSD for replacing my 8gb Class2 card, i have a motorola milestone, mi nandroid not have the function to backup ext partition, how i clone my old card to migrate all data and partitions to new card?
I tried to read the information from the ext2 partition with a windows driver without success.
The memory card has 3 partitions, one ext2 (i supposed) bootloader 38mb long, second partition 1,47gb ext2, and last 5,6gb fat32.
The new 16gb card, partitioned in 250mb ext2, 1,46gb ext2 , and 13,7gb aprox. Fat32.
Tried to copy only the info from the fat32 of 8gb card to the fat32 from the 16gb card, and mi apps moved with app2sd dont show in the phone, i suppose the problem is i not copy the ext2 partition from the 8gb card to the new one.
Exist some method like the ancient norton ghost to clone the both cards?
Sorry my bad inglish
