[Q] How to debrand my Tab?? - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi @All,
maybe there was a Thread bout that, but I didnt find...So can Someone helb me with PM or here to debrand my Vodafone Tab?
I bricked my first Tab and bought another, cause the Price wass more less thne to repair my bricked one, but with Vodafone-Branding
I tried to flash my Gingerbread and hours later, I successfully could reflash it to Vodafone, cause there was the bricked symbol by tying flashing Gingerbread....
I dont wanna risk it again, so the question: must I debrand it, how?
And after that, can I flash an original Gingerbread?
thx for your answers

try looking through that and see if you can help yourself there.
thanx...I'll try
Also try posting question in the Q&A section
The general cause of malfunctions is because people don't flash their RADIO and SPL. Your phone is probably? not bricked... yet
I used the steps in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4280573#post4280573
I don't know...if anyone can explain to me what to do...I'll be really thankful
nevermind....it finally worked.....I was about to lose hope
but I re-do the root steps...and it worked..although I did it yesterday, but it didn't work

have you got the original Bell firmware ,#If not then your only chance is to downgrade the firmware to Eclair and upgrade via Kies registry hack .

[Q] plz guys help me am in big trouble ??????

it started when i wanted to upgrade my galaxy tab to 2.3.3 gingerbread but something went wrong on oden and my galaxy stucked at screen of death (that screen that has a mobile icon pc and an exclamation mark) anyway i got out of it using hiemdall but now iam stucked at adroid system recovery 3e how to go back to the OS and also i can go to download screen ......
thnx (sorry for disturbance)
guys 85 views and no answer plz i need help
Well I can tell you how to completely brick your tab but I, probably as well as most of the people who viewed your post, don't know how to fix...
Doesn't take much to view a post, less to give bad advice... Requires patience to get the person who can help, to find your post and answer...
You also have a cdma tab, i believe, that's bad as most people have the gsm variant. It also means that steps I take to rectify your problem on my tab will probably brick yours...
Now, would you like me to tell you how to fix MY tab???
Also, no idea what you were on, what you were trying to flash, rooted or unrooted, locked bootloader check done and cdma, wifi-only or gsm??? We need this information before we can help.
thnx for your reply ultra. my phone is gsm (the one that i can insert sim card) and its rooted and i was updating to ginerbread when oden stucked at factoryfs and failed and it bricked i used hiemdall to skip the pc screen and go to download screen so what can i do know ????????
thnx in advance
1st thing I'd do is get my stock froyo rom... The one that came on the gtab. reflash that and then try again from there if successful...
You night find your stock rom here on xda or you might need to go further afield like samfirmware. I'd also, if back on stock rom, test to make sure my bootloaders weren't locked otherwise you may end up here again....
bootloadercheck/patch can be found in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
Cheers...
thnx for the replay but there is a prooblem that happened yestarday my galaxy tab wont start while out of charger but while in charger it shows that pc thingy screen if you may help i apperciate it thnx

Did you check to see if you had a locked bootloader before attempting to flash?
Which rom/guide did you use/follow?
Have you tried the Overcome rom/guide?

bricked for ever? :(

Hi guys!
You are the only one that could help me....
A friend of mine has a G Note N7000 (white) and he wants to selll it...but....
He said that is bricked (not starting) after he tried to downgrade it from ICS to Android 2 Gingerbread....
is this gone for ever? it can be unbricked?
thank you!
please help me....i want this phone.....
Well there is alot of info about bricked notes so I advice you to do some xda searching as there are several ways to revive a bricked note. Use the search function and you'll find what you need. I would advice you to check Dr.Ketan's signature for some helpfull links. Ask your friend if he did a FULL WIPE when reverting from ICS to GB,that could be the 'source' of the brick.
So, we cause a triple murder before breakfast, start a race war before dinner - that's uh, that's a pretty good day.
my friend told me that when he tried to downgrade it, the bootloader was broken....

As him if he could boot into download mode...
If yes, there are more chances of reviving it.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
i have asked him about ....
he said that the guy who downgraded his phone did a full wipe....
any chance to revive it?
please help.....

well it depends... if he downgraded to GB and then wiped... it should be ok.. if on ICS and was on a safe kernel and wiped .. should be ok...
u need to get more info from him as to what exactly is the problem...
does the phone switch on...
is the download mode on the phone accessible
is the pc recognizing the phone when connected thru odin
he said that the phone is not switching on after full wipe....
ok the phone doesnot on...
but does it have access to download mode ? it is different from normally switching on (vol dwm+pwr+home)
latest news....
i took my Note to a service and they said that the phone is connecting to JTAG software, all is good, but cannot write (or something)....

The repair service will probably try to get you not to root. There are no roms for the t759, only for t769.
I guess you could root it again, but dont try to flash recoveries or roms. This is the forum for t679, even thought it has t759's picture on it.
Good luck rooting!
**remember root is at own risk
