Hi!
I recently flashed my IncS with Ehab's latest ROM v1.2a including Sense 3.5 (questions goes here, not into thread because I'm new here...). In order to restore my settings and a number of apps I used TitaniumBackup Pro and backupped user apps and most system apps and settings. Restore went smoothly after flashing.
I very much liked the idea to have some shortcuts on the lockscreen - but although I activated them in the settings they won't show up.
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to solve it?
I had that problem when I flashed my first sense 3 ROM. But it was because I deleted something I shouldn't have. So probably you messed something up restoring a system app that doesn't belong in sense 3,5.
I had to reflash the ROM to get it to work

I have been wanting to have a AOSP/Vanilla type lockscreen on my HTC for some time now.
In the process of doing this, I have tried alternatives:
WidgetLocker
The MOD listed here
Neither have worked. WidgetLocker works half of the time, and then the other half doesn't show up as the primary locker. I have set the Root 5 second override option, but that appears todo nothing.
As far as the mod, if just causes my phone to forceclose and I can't do ANYTHING when I turn it on.
How would I go about just editing the lockscreen through adb? Doing it correctly, and not causing force-close, after force-close.
If your talking about the cyanogen or froyo lock screen and your on sense I know you can go into root explorer and delete the HTC lockscreen apk if the rom is deodexed and you'll get the normal froyo lock screen that's what I did on nfinites froyo sense rom and it worked fine

The ROM isn't deodexed. It is the stock Sprint ROM without any updates.
I may look into other rom's in the future, but for now, I just want to work on this with the stock rom.
Even though it may not be deodexed, where is HTC's lockscreen files located?
I'm not sure if it will work on stock I just know that work on any deodexed sense rom

I am not quite sure how you did that.
It doesn't work on Stock, or a Deodexed rom.
If I use ADB, Astro, or ES File Explorer.
Yes it does if you go to root explorer system apps and delete HTC lockscreen it'll go to the normal one at least that's how it was on the froyo sense rom so do it at your own risk your on stock

I recently rooted my Galaxy S for the first time, and in the process also installed a custom ROM.
I tried several differnt ROMs, but ended up choosing the Hawkish Premium3 [JVP]Special ROM|GALAXY SII.
Although this ROM is great, there are some issues, but being new to all this, I am not allowed to post a comment or question on that thread.
Here are my issues:
1. The touch tones for the dialer don't work, so in order to use the dialer I have to disable touch tones. I have downloaded different phone.apk files, but after installing, the problem persists. Is there a dialer app I can download to flash onto my device to fix this problem?
2. The Messenging app also seems to have a bug. The messaging itself works, but when I receive a new SMS/MMS, then the Messager app FCs. I have installed different MMS.apk updates, and flashed 2 others, but non fix the notification problem. Is the problem the message app or something to do with notifications? Please share link if possible.
Both these apps are, I assume, ported from Galaxy S 2 ROM, hence the issues when porting. Any links to similar apps for Gingerbread would be appreciated.
Thanks guys
Hello peoples,
[hope i am in the right section now?]
I love android but hate having to restore widgets over and over again (i flash a lot of different kernels and roms). Up till now i have never found a way to backup and restore the widgets in there former glory (location/size/settings). I use Titanium backup/restore but i found that only a nandroid restore really restores everything (and that is not something i can use when trying out new kernels and roms)
Am i missing something? (an app for instance that will really save position and settings of a widget? Or is it just a know shortcoming in android? I have used almost every launcher around but none of them restore widget (position/size/setting)
Can someone link me to some wisdom?
ps: i understa...alvik VM that hosts the widget position/size?
66 views so far but no response...? Anybody?
Cause no one knows even me but I believe if you copy launcher data using tb and restore it although I didn't try but let me guess that it works

I think this because of the launcher. If you use Apex for example and you make a backup via the app all the settings will be saved on to SD card. If you want to use another launcher with the same widgets you'll need to replace them since the data cant be restored from apex etc. Some apps can import settings from others but this will be said by the app it self.
Like i said, it depens on the launcher. Perhaps to ask one of the developers of the launcher for more information.

Good advice. So i guess i have been obstructing myself by changing launchers on weekly bases.
where is the lockscreen file of a rom?and whats its name?
and the wallpapers of the rom?
Hey guys,
I'm currently running trickdroid 11.0 on my One. I've upgraded from 8.0 just yesterday and never had any issues with installation or tweaks. Now when I install the tweaks for 11.0, I boot my phone and as soon as I unlock the lock screen, I get a UI Crash. I've dabbled with changing different selections on the tweaks installation but I can't seem to find a combination that works.
I got my tweaks package from the links on the trickdroid site (which leads to the thread on xda-developers), installed it using recovery. Is there something that I'm missing? As of now, the only 2 things I can get to work out is the battery icon change and the home screen/app drawer grid change to stick.
I would try to reinstall everything with a fresh full-wipe
Recently i updated my htc one to the new version of Android Revolution HD 30.0 ONLINE based on sense 5.5.
1) Where did the lock screen customization gone?
ok so they added another screen with widget but now you can't even change the wallpaper!!!
2) When i lock the device and the push on the power again the time appear after a split second that's pretty weird
3)why all the modes on the sense 5 Toolbox doesn't work for me? For example turning ON the "Transparent status bar" and nothing happens, even after i'm restarting
this refers to all who uses this rom

1. Ask HTC I would really like to know as well - I like the new feauteres, but they really messed up with the lockscreen IMHO. However, it is not a final base from them, so hopefully this changes.
2. Base bug, performance setting - never experienced tho.
3. Sense Toolbox 2.2 is for Sense 5.0, not Sense 5.5 - therefore not all features work. An update is on it's way.

If you have Xposed framework + sense toolbox 2.2 installe correctly it should work.
I just tested the transparent bar function and it is working.
Oh, and you have to reboot the shell (soft reboot) to see the changes in the sense framework - maybe you forgot that step.
I have also noticed on ARHD 30 system ui has stopped notification every now and again tried dirty flashing again but problem still persists. I can't do a full wipe as my pc is dead atm

Try updating to 31, and the toolbox to 2.3. Not having any issues like that.
