Todays AT&T update

Hello,
Not sure if there is already a forum deticated to this but its worth a try. (if there is let me know i will delete this)
I think we need to find the people that successfully updated today and have them post their "about phone"... Kernel info, build, software number, baseband number so that we can compare to the people that are failing.
Also include if you are rooted or not, sideloading, market enable, and lag fix.
Lets figure this out!

i am assuming you didn't alter it out of the box:
from the home screen > menu > settings
go down to software update > check for update
then follow the on-screen prompts, it will reboot the phone and apply the update.
Engadget tells you some of its features,

Mind sharing a link to the raw data for us? I appreciate your efforts in bringing this into cognition, but I would love to take a look at it in the virgin form.
Updated fine today.
Changed versions:
Baseband version: I897UCJH7
Build number: ECLAIR.UCJH7

So is the fact I am rooted stopping me from getting the update or is it launcher pro or something else?

Hi there,
I just installed this and I must say I am very impressed!
Took photos remotely, set off alarm, got GPS location etc..
Very useful for retrieving a lost phone!
I think everyone should have this on their Android.
Nice app. Thanked for letting me know about this. Gonna play with it for a bit.
@op: what questions do you have in mind?

First- Thanks for ur reply bro's.
I want to know what happens If our phone get stolen.
If the thief flash the stock rom, will that security thing still work?
This is just not for me, for my Elder bro.
Appreciate ur replies

If he does full wipe and flashes a diff rom? Probably not. Not sure as i haven't tried. But i did try it on avast - it has some of the features there too. I even gave it admin rights. Then i flashed a diff rom. And it's gone.
If this app operates on the same principle (which i think it does) then a full wipe via recovery will render it useless. Haven't tried factory reset via settings, though.
Again, this is based on the assumption that this app works the same way as avast's anti-theft feature.

If you would take the time to read the page you referred here it would satisfy us all.. You are lazy and obviously trolling.
No pre installation required
You didn't install AndroidLost on your phone? No problem! You can push the AndroidLost app to your phone from google market and initiate the connection to googles servers by sending an SMS with the message "androidlost register" to your phone.

Now go back to the page you posted here and start reading before asking stupid questions.

[Q] Rom Installed and slow WiFi

Hi, 2nd post, first Q.
I´ve installed this Rom Ultimatum and used the first option of wifi which appears and is SOOOO slow. Then tried to reinstall my old Rom (Myth) and it works the same, really slow. How can I fix this?
Did u change the kernel?

I´ve reinstalled Mith again and problem solved, don´t know wich was the problem, I presume it was kernel like someone tell me above.
Thank you, but this didnt solved my situation! I restored my previous rom, changed kernel, flashed some cm10 rom, flashed stock rom... WiFi is still slooooow... Gonna try to flash Ultimatum again, and I will try to pick some other WiFi driver, not the first one in choice list, and lets see whats gonna happen!

Try that way or a better way would be to flash DDKQ8 Official version. Then while installing ULTIMATUM, select the option to not change the wifi drivers. Am suggesting this coz have heard that DDKQ8 has a very fast wifi driver.

Yes and No
Yes because at my GT5830 was working really really slow... And no because was working fine in other devices. So it´s related to the device, specifically to the rom installed, not to the wifi router.

Hi BrandY2001
The user (DaroAce) says that his post (#1) is his second post (his first post was in other thread, seemingly), and that in this post (#1) he makes his first question.
His phone's wifi goes very slow after instaling "The Ultimatum", etc.
Good luck.

Need help in "kerneling" (plz close this thread)

I have finally managed to fully convert .png to .rle file and replaced it in kernel. Then I have compiled everything with Android Kitchen... Everything went fine... I have flashed ROM and rebooted, but even I have changed bootsplash the old one appears... The good news is that now the rom boots... What I have to change to see my TASS.rle ?
That's strange :-/
Afaik, to change boot splash only tass.rle needs to be replaced, i think u flashed old kernel instead of modified one
