Kinda felt the same on my DX

great bootanimation, but like posted above, its a bit low quality, doesn't look as sharp as it did on the video above. if a new higher quality one is available that would be awesome. still using the current one though. thanks!

Yeah doesn't look as crisp as it should, hopefully a higher res one comes soon

Doesnt give the crisp too, is there a right version for wvga?

By all means. This was an experiment, and seems to have worked for at least me as my animation sequence, (viewsonic Gtab running TNT-Lite 4.2.2). and a few ppl in the gtab sub forum where I posted this first seem to have downloaded it.
Public Domain means free to use.

I am not quite sure about the 480 but 320 will definitely be possible.
The image is not conducive to portrait mode due to the text layout. To keep the image from getting skewed, changing the horizontal res to 320 will make the vertical res less than 320. which should be OK on a 320X480 screen.
Will upload a link shortly.
ok thanks

It doesnt on on the gtab either
The res is 512X280 for size considerations.
Any screen res bigger than that is going to see the image centered, with hopefully a black border.
It's a WIN!

Not sure re: the various phones dir structure, this is just a bootanimation.zip file, not an update.zip file. The easiest method is to push it using adb to the location of your existing bootanimation file.

Hello im kinda noob developing, but maybe my knowledge in Photo & Video works for something Lol.

Any chance you could make one for a phone like 800x640 and in portrat?

This boot animation has a comparatively longer period. So if you are in cm7 or miui, you can experience only a portion of it. Best viewed in Sense Roms.
Now added the background music, so it's much better now.......If you are using any Virtuous Roms (including the latest), use the sense 3.0 version.
Download the Version based on your Rom
Sense 3.0 based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
Sense 3.5 based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
CynogenMod based Rom - Portrait , Landscape
The MIUI version is here. Use this link. This is a .mtz file so just run it, it will do the rest.
Make sure you have you have sufficient space in /system folder, before you start with the procedure.
Procedure to install via CWM Recovery
1. Download the Flashable zip file from the above list.
2. Do a Nandroid Backup.
3. Reboot into Recovery & Flash the zip.
4. Now reboot & enjoy........
Thanks. Very nice.

It should work on every phone that is rooted, if your uneasy bout flashing it. Use root explorer, find your original boot animation, rename it with " .bak " at the end (that'll back it up ). Then extract the new one an put it in the same place as the original. Reboot
after that, an see what happens. If it worked, then there you go. If not go back to bootanimation, delete the one you put there. Find the original one with ".bak", remove that part(by renameing it). That'll restore your original.
If I helped, give thanks, if you please.
Sent from my fist to your nuts, enjoy!

[BOOTANIMATION] -- Assassin's Creed Killer Boot Animation -- by Camotec

Hi Guys/Gals,
ABOUT:
Ok like many people out there, I am an Assassin's Creed nut so I decided to make a boot animation for my android.
I did this using the stock ICS boot animation as a backdrop with a blood red hue. and then blurred it out to make it look slightly out of focus. I then created an Assassin's Creed Logo in 3D and then gave it a dirty crystal look so the blood red backdrop shows through a little. I made it only spin once because I didn't want a tacky unfinished look (animation stopping halfway through etc.). and on top of that long animations only slow down the boot time of a fast device. I added a delay of a second on the end to just show the logo on a black background while the system loads.

- Thanks Wigglerip
Here is a link to video of the boot animation running on a HTC Vivid/Velocity/Raider
DOWNLOAD: Click Here
INSTALL INSTUCTIONS:
It is built for the HTC Vivid/Raider/Velocity at a res of 540x960 however I am led to believe it will work on any device.
- Download the Boot Animation
- Rename the Boot Animation to bootanimation.zip or Telstra_bootanimation.zip (if you are running the Stock Telstra Rom on a rooted phone).
- Use ADB or a GUI app like Droid Explorer to copy the file over the existing bootanimation.zip and then reboot the device.
- Enjoy.
FINAL WORDS:
Boot animations take time to create (when your not just splitting up frames of a video etc). So if you like it, please give Thanks.
Depending on the feedback I receive, I might do a few more animations as well.
Cheers
Camo

A couple of questions...
How are you trying to replace it? (what are you using to actually replace the file?)
Have you got /system mounted? Some people have to load into recovery and mount /system and while still in recovery they flash the files from there.
Maybe your phone is not rooted?
Cheers

cool bootanimation. could you possibly make a version that repeats the animation? it would be awesome if you could. i know you said it slows it down and dont want it to look tacky when it stops mid ani, but i kinda like the repeating look of the stock ics bootanimation.
This looks hot. I can't seem to find the original boot animation so can someone plz tell me where I can find it...
Hi man,
Should be under /system/customize/resources/ if your running a Telstra ROM they call the bootanimation something different, if so, look under files starting with T.

[BootAnimation] Multiple Resolution - Zero-G Inkblot

Hey people,
I put together this slick boot animation based on an animation posted on Google+ by Marques Brownlee.
Here are a few facts :
There are two files. 30 images per second and 60 images per second.
It's not flashable. Install it with a root-enabled file explorer or with a boot animation changer such as this one. If you do it manually, don't forget to rename the appropriate file to bootanimation.zip
I posted four different resolutions, which I think covers many phones. Feel free to resize it to fit your phone's resolution. You can use Boot Animation Factory for that.
See preview below - it should give you a pretty good idea of the animation itself.
