Anyone can post your founds?

Well, I have to say that battery drainage is pretty high...also that ext sdcard is mounted to emmc is a little confusing for someone who had to deal with /sdcard/_ExternalSD before...
But all in all it's pretty good...
EDIT: Anyone tried to use vorkkernel with this?

Skype video actually works in this version. But orientation is messed up.

I too must confirm that the battery drain is pretty bad.
Ran quadrant and sent the results to my dropbox and it lost 3%. Quadrant ran strange. The stairs in the animation did not have any texture and the planet with the moon was blank too, but it had shadows.
I presume that an hour or two of gaming would drain it completely.
On thing I noticed is that the FM Radio app is missing.
The camera app (IMO) is pretty bad to. The frame rate is low while shooting.
Video recording is pretty bad. At what I suppose is full HD, the frame rate is 10-12 tops.
Here are the results from quadrant:

If you have CM7 nightlies installed, just update without wiping anything. Worked fine for me.

cm 7 still not supported fm radio properly, so it is missing for right reason.

so, should I install this or the latest nightly? Are there any advantages over the nightly versions?

Yes I agree that
-Battery drain so fast and GPS slow fixed than nightly.
-Music can find my music album while 166 nightly can't find.
-Antutu score about 5,200 at 1GHz better than nightly that about 4,900-5,100 at 1.015 GHz.
So let try more days.
Edit:
-Wake up work (previous nightly #166 not wake me so make me lately)

still using my old nighlties...waiting for more info.....
ahhhh also , may anyone share abt the HDMI for the new release? how's it? is it work?

for me the nightlies have a great battery life, it seems that this hasn't

Seriously guys, if anything didn't work in the latest nightly it surely wont work in this stable. At some point, a nightly is picked and declared stable. So don't go out asking if anything is working now that wasn't working yesterday. You will find any changelog here:
http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=p990

I'm still running the #158 nightly and it's working fine. So, little unsure, whether I should update or not. When the battery consumption is so bad, I will continue using my nightly, because the endurance is much higher than the stock rom.

Hmmmm, I think I'm gonna stick for a while with my Modaco..... did they fix the A2DP in this release? I think I read somewhere in this forum about A2DP will be fixed in the next version of nightlies....

Personally everything is perfect for me apart from 2 things
- no FM radio
- battery life is pretty bad

Here all is fine with the stable release. No battery drain (its actually bloody damn good), fast GPS lock and smooth as butter. Great work Richard!
Whatever is causing these issues with you guys, it isnt the ROM...no matter how convinced you are it is.
Rule #1: if you think you found a bug, you probably didnt and is caused by your own doing or lack of knowledge.

As far as I know, the only major issue with this ROM remaining is the video recording being non-functional.
Everything else should be working - Browser / Audio / Still Camera / GPS
Should be one of the fastest AOSP roms - thanks to the CM team (via xdbg/arco) for the graphics fixes, and pepperon/xdbg/zoomas for testing

KNOWN ISSUES:
- Leaving Bluetooth on but not paired causes all audio to stop working on the phone. If you turn off Bluetooth then audio comes back.
Temporary Workarounds:
- For GSM/WCDMA users please enter *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer. Then goto "Phone Information". Near the bottom of that screen there's a drop down of network preference. For GSM-ONLY use GSM (PRL). Exit that screen and reboot the phone.
What is working in this build:
Fixed Data usage stats
Removed useless FM radio apps
SD Card change: internal = /sdcard, external = /sdcard-ext (just like Motorola setup)
Facebook sync
Voice search fixed
Trebuchet as launcher (Nebkat rules)
Many hard keyboard issues resolved (including B key! Thanks to Tezet)
Bugfixes from Alpha #1
Embedded GApps (for now)
Larger default apns-conf.xml file for international use
Embedded WirelessTether app
3G Data
Audio
phone is connected to the network
Wifi
GPS
Bluetooth
SD Cards (needs testing again)
HW Accelerated Graphics (RenderScript apps will have issues -- like Web Browser)
Adbd
What isn't working:
Camera (in progress)
Some Codecs (in progress)

Awesome. By flashing, I meant how the screen would go black and the weird Chinese error messages would pop up. That got in the way of seeing how smooth it was. For the few seconds it didn't crash, it was very smooth.

Does this mean you have decided.....
Does this mean you have decided to use your development time with ICS rather than finish CM7? So far, your CM7 is coming along nicely, but without video cam support, I may have to go back to a non AOSP build which I don't want to do. Can you tell us if you intend to work on CM7? Personally, I'm far more interested in a clean CM7 than ICS.
Thanks again!

I do intend to jump back into CM7 and clean up some of the open issues. But, I'm on heavy grind seeing how far this ICS build can go and how quickly.
As far as I know making the camera / camcorder work in ICS will be easier than in CM7. But, I haven't gotten into that section yet. It's the ICS audio that worries me.
Right on man! Thanks for all the work you put into the d3

[Q] Good battery ROM

Hello people,
first of all I want to say that I know there are more questions like this one, but I couldn't find an up-to date one.
I'd prefer an ICS or later rom since.. well the GB roms are quite outdated, but if you know a rom which offers a great battery life don't hesitate to tell about it.
I'm corrently using CM10 unofficial from Pengus77:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058231
Here is a screenshot of my current battery life with light use (no data, little wifi for whatsapp and sometimes checking my timetable screenshot) :

Please let me know if you know a very battery-friendly rom.
Edit:
And it's not like I have an ancient battery or something ( +- half a year old).
Hello!
I'm using Paranoid Android and I like it a lot. Battery life is really great. I'm using my phone from morning till the night and almost always battery last long enough. I'm using it for surfing, listening music, phone calls, messages so I think that this is really nice rom.
AW: [Q] Good battery ROM
Got to confirm that! Using PA with Kowalski kernel 113, OC @ 1,3 GHz some small UV and a great app as recommended by pengus and tonyp which is greenify! Take a look at it

Wise choice.
Note: Don't judge the battery too fast. Wait till it have done a few cycle charges (meaning: plug charger in at a low battery percentage, keep it charching till its 100% - repeat few times.).

Yes, I will (although a lot of people say you should only charge to 80/90% to not overcharge your battery)
What governor are you all using btw? just normal interactive?
Update: installed the rom, all my apps, filled in my preferences/personal customisation etc. and I lost about 25%
so everything seems to go quite well with this rom.
Just one question:
what is a good alternate theme instead of the xperia one?

Havent met a single bug so far!! No FCs at all .. Its rock stable , fast and smooth
Does NFC work in CM?
does Cm10.1 has mass storage mode?
I don't want MTP mode, because mass storage mode is the only mode that allows me to use software t sync the folders in my computer with those in SD card or internal SD.
Because of this concern, I have to use official 4.12 rom plus UMS app for mass storage mode.
And removing the SD card at least 2-3 times a day for syncing file is one of the most stupid idea.
Yes, it does.
Edit: The reply was for the first question. It only has MTP and camera mode.
I didn't have a single problem on CM10.1 RC2, tried RC3, RC4, RC5, and the stable build released yesterday, and they all have problems with Wi-Fi / Data connection.

Testing
Currently testing your latest build. I'll be back on a few days for feedbacks. Thanks for this seemingly great rom.
Edit: Post count doesn't reach 10 yet so I can only reply on this thread.
Edit 2: Had problems with ART, or probably just my phone. The rom is apparantly incompatible with either ART, or my phone. Lags whenever I press home(both google and the "other one" preinstalled). The battery drain was grain but definitely, I can't sacrifice performance for a longer battery. So, switched back to stock for now. And, I couldn't uninstall Apollo.
Nice work! Thanks for rom!
There is a problem - SD-Card (64GB, exFAT) not working on this rom
On the other KK4.4.4 firmwares it works. How to fix?

Just reporting a way around this if anyone faces the same prob with me. If you don't give your car-bluetooth permission to access messages and phonebook the problem disappears. I know it reduces some of the functionality but at least you can still play your music anserw and make calls through your device...
Hi, I recently reflashed this ROM after trying several others. Everything works great except;
I activated Battery Saver Mode to remove vibrations, disable the LED, etc when Battery is low or manually. Now when I deactivate it, those functions aren't restored. Help please?
