if no one else makes it I will give it a go in a week or so once exams and initial party/hangover times are over, with the pacman eating the LG
EDIT: ported over this part of the animation, working on what to do next with it
Excelent!!!
very cool
looking forward to it...
Very funny animation
I'm loving it
Hahaha! So little think but i laughed for it awhile D
Very good ^^
Question is how i add this? and where? or can it be added like that?¿
I've started the animation, so far i've ripped all that part of the animation. I am currently working on making the pacman eat the LG, then turn back and eat the circle that it escapes. I will post in a zip in a new thread when it is done

Looking forward for the awesome animation!
I already had this animation, found it a while ago online.
But never did anything with it. However since a day or 2 i found this topic and learned about the option for bootanimations etc.
I took the LG-PacMan animation all apart and got to work with editing and what not.
Outcome is a complete new bootanimation, like in the description on youtube all credits go out to the original creators for some off the artwork.
Features in the animation :
-LG Tune HQ
-LG PacMan animation
-Nvidia Tune
-Nvidia animation ( Dual Core Technology )
-Droid Tune
-Droid animation
-"Beep" Tune
-Spinning circle animation
Compiling, editing, tweaking and audio are my work.
Search Youtube for : LG Pacman Nvidia boot
(user: rvdkuijl )
Ps.
I specially registered to make this comment and share my results.
(that's why i can't directly link to youtube... )

I think spinning circle animation spining too long..
Sorry for the noob question..

I don' t like it. Seems to overloaded imho.
I would like if someone could create something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4OY7ugkbxE&feature=related
Hello everyone,
I found this boot animation here:
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/03/21/download-honeycomb-bee-3d-boot-animation/
It links back to xda here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000311
I couldn't find an optimized version for tablets.
So here it is.
I take absolutely no credit for anything!
All props go to danmcq !!!
All I did was take the images in the original bootanimation and make the canvas (image size) 1280x800 instead of the originals which were 480x854.
Then modified the little config file.
Tested on my Xoom running Tiamat 2.0.1 with Tachi kernel.
Works great.
Only thing that bothers me is that the original background was not truly black; it's a couple shades lighter...so the background appears a little washed out (like you have the brightness on super high).
do you need to be rooted to install this?
(sorry haven't really read up much on the xoom)
yes you do. file goes in /system/media so you need root access.
to the OP: tested the animation. looks beautiful but loads a little slowly (i'm O'C'd to 1.6ghz). very sharp graphics though. I still prefer to the flying bee animation I worked on but i'm keeping this one for the future
Looks good and run as well, great share thx.
you can also put the bootanimation.zip file in the data/local folder, then it will not overwrite the stock bootanimation.
:[History / Explanation]:
A while back someone wanted to have the stock Sprint boot animation play while using a custom kernel.
Because of that, I ended up faking out the kernel to get the default Sprint boot animation to play with out flickering.
I used that same method to make the Droid Charge's boot animation work on the Epic.
After doing that, I noticed that we were given a seemingly extra boot animation file with the Epic 4G, so I decided to see what it looked like if I tried to boot with it.
What I found was a Samsung Galaxy S boot animation that I had not seen.
So that was the beginning of a fun little project I did.
I took all the Samsung boot animations I could find from various devices and put them on the Epic 4G.
Turns out that the "hidden" animation on the Epic 4G is the "standard" Galaxy S boot animation that is played on some other Samsung devices.
The thing is, on most of the other devices, the Samsung Galaxy S animation is played after (or before) some other (junk) animation that is specific to the carrier / phone.
That is not the case in this "hidden" boot animation they gave us on the Epic 4G. =]
The result of all of the above is this, a collection of qmg boot animations from various devices made to work on the Epic 4G.
Here is the current list:
Code:
Samsung_Captivate_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Continuum_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Droid_Charge_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Captivate_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Continuum_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Epic_4G_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Fascinate_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Galaxy_S_4G-Vibrant_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Infuse_4G-no_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Mesmerize_sound).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Stock_Sprint).zip
Samsung_Epic_4G_Touch_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Fascinate_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Galaxy_3_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Galaxy_5_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Galaxy_Mini_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Galaxy_S_4G_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Galaxy_S_Georgio_Armani_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Infuse_4G_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Mesmerize_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Prevail_Boot_Animation.zip
Samsung_Vibrant_Boot_Animation.zip
:[Notes]:
Whenever possible, the boot sound from the source device was also used.
I even converted the sound files to wav when I could (I wasn't able to get the "*.snd" files converted). =[
As you can see by the filenames, I've also included various versions of the "hidden" boot animation from the Epic 4G that use sounds from other devices.
These are CWM flash-able zips to be installed with ClockworkMod!
These CWM zips will clear cache and dalvik, the reason for this is so you get to see the entire boot animation the 1st time you reboot.
Some of the boot animations are not properly sized for our device and funs things happen because of it. =]
Don't worry, they are all 100% safe and 100% tested.
I may have used some shutdown animations in place of the looping part of the boot animation for some source devices.
The "Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Epic_4G_sound)" uses the stock Sprint sound along with the "hidden" animation.
The "Samsung_Epic_4G_Boot_Animation_(Stock_Sprint)" uses the stock Sprint sound along with the stock Sprint animation.
Some of the different boot sounds sound very similar, but only two were identical (Galaxy S 4G / Vibrant).
The infuse 4G has no boot sound.
The Captivate's boot animation file is massive (16MB+)! (Also it's quite lame.)
:[About the Cleaner]:
The file "Samsung_Boot_Animation_Cleaner" is designed to clean up after these boot animations (needed to use a bootanimation.zip again with out flickering).
Similar to the cleaner found in my old thread (read for more info), the main difference is that it now also removes the boot sound that was installed as well.
Code:
delete("/system/etc/PowerOn.wav");
For simplicity, here are links to both cleaners:
The older cleaner that does not remove the boot sound.
The newer cleaner that does remove the boot sound.
:[Videos]:
Samsung Vibrant boot animation preview. This is not my video (and it's a Vibrant, not an Epic).
Notice the part after the lame pink intro? That is the Samsung Galaxy S animation I refer to as "hidden" from Epic 4G.
Droid Charge boot animation preview. Again, not my video (that's a Droid Charge, I think).

Note that the above video is using a different boot sound than what came in the zip, (you can grab the sound from here, thanks to Android Amateur for sharing).
Samsung Galaxy S Georgio Armani (GT-i9010) boot animation preview. This is not my video (and it's not an Epic).
:[More devices]:
If anyone feels like sharing more files from more devices, I'd be happy to include them in the collection.
Enjoy

Nice Job , nube !
Good Job my dude i was just looking into something like this lol Great Job again
Yay I was gonna try to attack this project starting with the nexus s but then my dumb self forgot that the nexus doesn't use. qmg files for stock boot animations because of the aosp...... thank you so much for these..... is there any way for us to get the google splash screen without having kernel source on EG22?
Great work man.

The "hidden" Epic and the Droid Charge without a doubt.. Probably Droid Charge, the only thing I don't like about it, is I know it's from Verizon.
I kinda like the Fascinate sound with the Epic "hidden" animation.
Would be great for some audio enthusiast to make us a nicely times swooshing sound to go along it.
But it's still fun to see the broken and corrupted Prevail boot animation showing Boost mobile and samsung logos! ;]

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to try them out in the morning

Used the droid charge and I like it. Thanks!
Nube, I had a strange issue happen. I used the Droid Charge animation as well and it works great but...I wiped everything to restore a nandroid and somehow the boot animation and sound still stuck. Then I got crazy FCs on almost everything. I ended up having to clean install a ROM then wipe and restore a nandroid and everything was fine. What would be the cause of the animation sticking like that? I am not complaining because its an easy fix but I was just wondering. Thanks

The boot animation / sound files are in "/system", so a data wipe will not remove them.
As far as the corruption goes, your guess is as good as mine.

Is a kernal with boot anim support required for these? Or can this work without it since they are also qmg files?

Someone PLEASE put this on the D3!
I'm working on it now, give me about an hour...i'll test it too.
Longest part is downloading and reinstalling flash, i've already dissected the swf file into images and
sound though.
For some reason when I break it up the animation gets stupid when the Transformer builds, it's like it's
not even include in the movie...but I know it is.
I'll be happy if you get it ported successfully
Thats cause prime is in pieces and put together with a script over the black background I have a idea ill test on my d2 first and post results..

Should be able to replace the bootanimation.zip in the
/system/media dir.
I renamed the existing bootanimation in case i ever decided to go back and left it in the folder.
send it to me ill see what I can do .. 'I dont like to over write the file in the system media easier to fix is something trips out using the /data/local/...
here ya go.
BTW Seiryu's method worked aswell. No issues using that exact file.
Thanks to both, and cant wait for your method aswell, to help other less brave (or stupid, which is me lol) people from doing this before we have SBF lol

Sorry for the slow response, forgot to come back and check this thread
I can't remember exactly where i found it, it was a few weeks ago now... I attached it to my post though, just rename it to bootanimation.zip and place it in /system/media. There's no audio on this one... but should be pretty easy to add. I'll see if i can't add it later today if I get some free time i've just been lazy
Looks nice! I will test it out later!
Thanks!
Droid prime animation
I am new to this stuff and recently jave rooted my phone and have learned how to put boot animations on. However i am trying to get this one on my phone and it works but its too big and i have tried adjusting the size in the desc.txt but then the animation no longer works. Can someone please help me convert it so it fits my mytouch 3g slide. 320x480
Just wanted to say thanks for this awesome Boot Animation. Absolutely love it.
this is simply beautiful. i like the fact of nothing getting officially overwritten so it accounts for a safe/fast add or delete with no problems. A+
This is a custom bootanimation I created for myself and now others to use.
The bootanimation includes
--extremely simple graphics
--loop that plays until phone loads
--gay humor
over all it's simple and though it may not look the best~ it's something I'm proud of and find humoring
Enjoy
It's all animated.. couldn't get the animation link to work though :/
The 'Fruit Yeah' loops as a loading bar until the phone boots up. the rest animates only once.
It runs smoothly (due to simpleness I'm sure)
