[Q] Rooting Gingerbread.XWJVB ROM

I have a Samsung Galaxy S(GT-i9000) running Gingerbread.
Here are the details-
Firmware Version= 2.3.3
Baseband Version = I9000XXJVK
Kernel Version = 2.6.35.7- I9000XWJVB-CL118186 [email protected] #2
Build Number = GINGERBREAD.XWJVB
I wish to root my phone. Can someone help me out with a step by step guide?
I'm a newbie to all this and would really appreciate it!

Hmm You didnt explain your method. PLz clear a few points :
Is your mobile rooted?
Is CWM installed?
Which ROM are you using now?
Exact method what are you doing, and Which ROM you want to install?

Thank you very much guys, it was much easier than I thought. I'll do root with framaroot. Now I ask you to help me how to install recovery mod if somethings going wrong, and then finally to install custom rom with lollipop based theme.
- What I first need to do to: install recovery and then install a custom rom?
- Do I need a cyanogen mod?
- Which custom rom would recommend to install and it is based on lollipop?
- Do I need to unlock bootloader in order to install custom rom, and how?
- Is Note 1 strong enough to support lollipop?
Please, can you give me a links where I can find everything for installation recovery mod and custom rom? Thanks a lot.
