x911 exclusive droid X rom

Hello everyone. Well I have some free time now and have decided to make a rom exclusively for the X. It will be called x911. After testing out a few and not finding exactly what I like, I decided to start this project. So If anyone is interested in testing a beta, giving some input/requests on certain features etc, let me know. Updates and news about dev will be on "thevideomole" .com - can't direct link sorry. Just sign up for an account and follow my wall if your interested in participating, or just want to know about the rom, release date etc. Thanks.

Well who am I is kind of a weird question. Who are you? Anyway I made a crude boot animation for my x911 AOSP Froyo Rom, needs much polishing but the concept is there. Video is on the site previously posted. This weekend that should begin and I can begin coding.

I don't think that a person asking about your background or experience is kind of a weird question. To be honest I normally close threads like this because its been my experience that ROMS are never produced. Perhaps you if you are soliciting feedback you may post a beta or test ROM you are working. Guys in this forum are used to a lot of fake posts.

Exactly...I didn't mean who are you on a personal level, I meant it as, who are you as it pertains to the Android Community. I write articles and news that's Android related, and have been around for a long time in the forums, but I have never heard of you or your brand of ROMs. So I meant who are you as a Developer or Chef, because maybe you are an experienced Dev and I just don't know of you. But also you could be that kid jdkclipse from the incredible and other forums...some might know that drama.
Either way though, if u have a ROM, just post it and a screenshot and a detailed changelog/info on it, no need to open a thread until you have that.

can someone cross compiling arm 6 to arm7 processor files?

Sorry for sounding like a newbie and dumb question. But can anyone here work on doing this?
I wouldn't mind waiting for 6 month or something.

Oh, I take that back, apparently he "wouldn't mind waiting"...

Someone made the comment in another thread that I almost replied to but didn't.
The comment was along the lines of "devs are dropping like flies". The posts by OP are one reason why. You share your hard work with everyone, and all they do is cry and complain and beg for more.
This is one of the reasons why I only build ROMs for myself. I don't want to deal with people like OP.

I think somebody should make a rom that bricks his phone so he doesn't go ordering roms like he's in a restaurant. Hell, I'll do it, because I'm not a dev so it will work great

...most dumb post I've ever seen in the last months.
I really trying to raise the user experience of users by spending a lot of time and effort in those mods....and I'm doing a lot of mods as you can see in my signature.
Well you can believe it or not, I dont just spent hours on those mods, more like days and weeks. On my leedroid tweaks project even months.
..and I'm doing this for fun and SHARE it with YOU for FREE!
So what the problem when I just put one rule up for DEVS and THEMERS to wait a t least on week before including it?
On that way I can ensure some activity in my threads and not to lose all users by day one, because all are kanging me on day two?

Look at yourself, too much ignorant7dumb users here just leechicng stuff without beeing able to eben thank a dev for therer time spending in their projects.

Dumb? Asking people to wait a week to get permission to use your work and you call me dumb? Yea request they ask your permission and give you credit for your hard work but wait a week! I don't need users, this is made to make MY phone look nice, and if other people like it, they are free to use it.

lol if you didnt need users why be a dev on here and make your rom public? you would just keep it for your own private consumption period. the mere fact it is here on xda means you crave that following that comes from users liking your work and thanking you for it! i like your work but wont kiss ass because i do! if you posted something i didnt like id tell you same way! you must have had people who didnt like your work but you didnt stop all dev cause of it did you? we are adults in here and this childish attitude is not acceptable.

4.2 based rom???

there is no android 4.2 based rom or fw available for this phone yet....cynogenmod 10.1 couldnt go any far as of now.....I want to request developers to focus on or to develop in latest 4.2 version...all want to see latest ports for the device...there is no point of putting time in modifying existing roms of othrrs ....

Dude, for our device there are no 4.2... so on what does the ROM need to be based? If you want 4.2 stock based it's not gonna work.
Let the dev's do their work and wait for 4.2... patience will be rewarded. Some countries are still waiting for 4.1

I think he means they should develop CM10.1 instead of cm10.. somewhat I agree, but it's much more difficult, and they don't have all the sources for that. Let them do cm10 first, than they might start work on cm10.1, or maybe not.. even cm10 is in early beta, and how long have they been doing that?

It's not an easy task as the source is not released. So little chance of getting cm 10.1. But still cm 10 is in progress thanks to our devs team and that's good enough for me

I think we need to wait a bit for 4.2

Well CM10 is the main priority I guess and we have the best of our devs working on it. When it is stable I hope that they want to continue on CM10.1 which is harder without sources as we don't even have all sources for CM10 yet.

I am not an developer, just user who helps new user sometime. The ones who deserve that, but I make mistake and help to someone who do not. :laugh:

Before i end this with my final msg.... yes we all are friendly but the way you reacted in the start was the bad way... next thanks for another pointless reply and we don't need members who are here to fight ...... I'm new here, and I'm trying to learn, but I'm not that technical. I try my best to contribute to this society, I can't develop or mod but everytime I read this forum my knowledge about Android grows and if it's needed I would share that knowledge.

it seems very odd with in 10 hours of the rom being up it's getting reported :crying: why not the V3.0 / beta ?

I hate when XDA moderators think they are the police. They should not just shut down an amazing ROM thread. They should talk with the op first and try to resolve issues. Open the thread for crying out loud!

Any idea on why it was reported? I've been in his thread since day one on the Note 4 and it has been one of the best threads I have ever been apart of!

No one knows the full story yet.. We may never know.. I know mod kennyg is fair. He does not step in without reason or for kicks. Let it play out.

I know Brian is not guilty of the infraction/s. He has the type of thread that we used to have back in 2005 when we were on XDA's. He is responsive friendly and willingly answers the same questions over and over. He would and has actually discouraged bad behavior of all kinds.
Obviously the mods didn't spend any time in the thread.
I am on any list too vouch for his forum behavior.

Sounds like someone made a big deal about people who donated getting to test the betas of the DK ROM first.
@bri315317 isn't selling access to his betas. He figured the fair way to let people test was to offer the beta to people who ALREADY DONATED. It wasn't a ploy to get people to donate. Brian doesn't need the money. Its his hobby. He does it for himself and for us. I have donated several times to the Note 3 and now Note 4 DK ROM work. Nobody made me do it. I did it because I appreciate his work.
If this investigation goes on more than a day then there is some serious injustice going on here.

He is also a family man who has helped me and a million people in that thread

Couldnt agree with you more! He has one of the best threads! Rom talk, off topic talk, pretty much anything goes and its very easy going. I just cant possibly see anything he could have done wrong..

Did you get your device fixed?
I found I had to flash the rom first set it up and then the theme or it would boot loop.

no not yet >>> my steps
1. full wipe
2. install rom

Full wipe do you open advanced and check data and system and both caches, or just pull the handle?

WE ARE DYNAMIC :good: sorry maybe i just care about this more then others

You think this will help the cause? Wrong, i pretty much can promise this only will annoy the mods, and therefore cause more issue to whatever they are trying to address. If there is no harm, no foul, then you all have nothing to worry about. Just let them do their jobs, and move on.

As stated above, I will suggest in letting this thread die as much as I want to chime in myself. We all know this thread will not serve its purpose given the past several post. Speculations are not good for the cause, personal opinions are not good for it.
Kenny is fair and does not act out for no reason. Let the investigation continue as it is and the end result will speak for itself. After all, that is what investigations are right?
