For some reason, my phone won't detect the front facer. I've checked this in the hardware information. It used to show a 1.3 mp camera, and now it doesn't.

Here I'm again...
I've already tried zero camera today but it didn't work how I was hoping. It's the only camera apk I found on XDA.
Is there a way to use the camera of another device with autofocus on the Desire C?

I don't know much about this but as a photographer I would say that if there's no built in af cam in a phone, no af can work, because of the fixed lenses.
R: [Q] Autofocus camera
So I can just use an after focus app, right?

you can use any photo app that is availible in the market, but you can't build in auto focus with a software
Since the mobile has a fixed focus lens, auto-focus can't be used.
I find this app pretty useful...
AfterFocus Pro by motionone...its available on playstore...
check it out...

There are a lot of problems during the use of complex sensors such as bt, digitizers and cameras. The main problem here is the lack of information regarding the coding of these in relation to the device specifics of the IncS. We do not have the source so therefore there is no "perfect" use of these sensors in customized versions of android. Copypasta is all we have.

Thanks for reply... I post it to know whether there are any solution rather than JB+ camera... Which solve my problem. I request the moderator to close this thread if there is no improvement in this topic....

Hello guys Im here because as much as I love the HTC one, it's camera just doesn't fill my eyes...
In normal conditions it really takes good pictures, but at night (without flash) it turns really really bad (and it's slogan is that it takes the greatest pictures in low light conditions)...
2 friends, my brother and I have a HTC one, all of us rooted our phones and installed the v2.0 viperone Rom
All of we get a strange blue tint at low light conditions (as if there were something wrong with the ISO) or I don't know but look at the pic attached
Has this happened to someone else?
Is there any fix for this?
Is it a hardware or software problem?
Thanks in advance

Got two htc ones, mine is even worse than your pictures but wife's is perfectly fine even though they have same iso and exposure settings. So, I don't think it's a software issue.

Are you using flash?
I'm using night mode so no flash was turned on

Okay heres something weird?
Aside from the crazy amount of distortion on the front camera, I've noticed before that when using the front camera that things worked fine before. Meaning the front camera has no problems focusing on me.
I flashed ViperRom the other day, and have noticed that every single of my pics from the front camera is not in focus and tapping the screen does not change anything.
My question is, does your front camera focus?
Yep on that exact Rom too

Does anyone have an issue where using the face unlock when you have less than perfect lighting causes the picture to be super dim? Using the regular camera on front facing mode works perfectly.
Yes! I noticed that yesterday. Face unlock couldn't see me, yes the camera app sees me just fine in the same spot with the same lighting. I figured I just needed to add a pic in that lighting, but I couldn't due to the face unlock view being extremely dim.

Same issue with front facing camera on Hangouts. Again, camera app is fine.
I just use trusted places instead sloves that problem!
TIL people actually use face unlock

Seems the camera app automatically adjusts for light conditions where as face unlock and other apps that use the front can do not.
