When i go to add a new contact + Sorry! The application Contact Storage (process com.motorola.contacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Anyone having this issue? Know of a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe clear the data in manage applications I don't think it will erase ur contact's but I mean there r many ways to back them up just in case

Thank you, I cleared the data and same error. IT even comes up when i try and open a contact to view it.
If you installed the new Google+... Uninstall it. It breaks Contacts.
Also, if you froze or deleted anything to do with with yahoo.

Its weird I can send gTalk messages, and can run the sync in settings but it wont update my gmail. I test sent my self a message from my phone and it wont send Its said sending for the past 4 hours and if I scroll down it tries to load older messages and gets stuck. It keeps saying no connection.
Any Ideas?
Tried a hard reset and a soft and a three button reboot. Cant figure this one out.
Did you try both in wifi and 3g? Also do you have that option in astro to enable download of zips checked? That may also be the problem

Ok I was able to resolve it by clearing the data and cache for gmail and gmail storage. I went through my actions and discovered there is a limit to how many pictures we can attach to an email or it will cause this problem. The only way to fix it is to clear the data. I can send up to chunks of ten 5mp pictures without it stalling the gmail app. Hope this helps someone else.
Long time lurker first time poster.
I had a problem a few weeks back with a message that I couldnt seem to delete. I worked out how to get rid of it in the end, but one of the things I did to try and fix the glitch was go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > Messaging, and cleared the cache data. This didnt work for that particular problem, but it seemed to remove all the pictures/thumbnails for each contact in the messaging app (the ones it gets from Facebook). The thumbnails still exist from within the Phonebook/Contacts, but they arent coming up in Messaging. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how I can get those back?
I really liked having them there as it makes it easy to quickly identify a contacts message thread. I am trying out Handcent which does have thumbnails, but I dont like the look and feel of it as much as the stock messaging app. Plus I despise the new message "choose contact" screen. No thumbnail images, and it displays ALL my contacts, even ones that dont have phone numbers.
I really just want to go back to the stock messaging app, but miss my thumbnails. Can anyone help?
Thanks guys.
I am starting to think this problem is unsolvable. I think i've looked under every setting I can find and see no way to bring them back.
Nobody can offer any advice on this?
I had considered possibly removing the stock messaging app then re-installing it from the apk, but I am not exactly sure how to do it...
No idea really. I'm using the AOSP Messaging and it'll show thumbnails for phone stored but not for synced ones.
You might try removing your Accounts & sync accounts and re-adding them and see if that helps.

Yeah I already tried that, no luck. It's a weird problem. I really wish I could just have my stock messaging app with thumbs back!
I have a feeling this may help;

But I dont have any idea how to use adb or where the thumbnails location is for the Captivate. Is it possible to achieve a similar thing in Root Explorer?
Is anyone else having this problem? My phone IS rooted however I had this same problem before rooting.
Whenever I try to send an apk with my gmail app, using root explorer to select the file, my gmail force closes when I hit send..
Any advice/help?

I have never been able to send apk's with gmail either. This is complete speculation on my part, but I think Google blocks the ability to mail them to prevent pirating paid apps by emailing them to friends or whomever.
I was able to do it on all my devices in the past(Sony Xperia Play, Fascinate) up until my last phone switch to the revo a month ago..
Anyone else download the Google+ update included with it was the Google Messenger? I can't connect to messenger, once opened it says "Waiting to connect" then a close button. Any ideas or fixes? Do I need to defrost something?

They just renamed the huddle app because it was causing too much confusion with hangouts. Dunno why you can't connect, mine is working fine.
Grrrrr,
I just did a factory reset in hoping to clear out any confusion of multiple google accounts....SITLL - "Waiting for connection" and the CLOSE button. There's not even a FAQ on the messenger yet. LOL
Anyway, the factory reset still kept me rooted...I think. I'm restoring things as we speak...but still no Google Messenger!
Just did the update, signed in with out a problem.
I'm rooted.

Still nothing... I guess I'll just keep trying to uninstall and reinstall.... Not many answers in the forums in regards to this... I hope we can find a fix...
Google Messenger finally connected, it seemed to have been an account issue which fixed itself after a week. Thanks for the replies everyone.
Hi everyone! I got this problem! Whenever i want to view a fb profile or create a new contact, it will force close and came out android.process.acore... What is seems the problem?

i have this problem too..
i know if you remove facebook account and reboot the problem stops.
I think problem is on facebook side
Its probably corrupt data on your side. You can either delete the data, uninstall the app, or log out and back in again...
i do not know .because i tried from uninstal app to full wipe and reflash from backup from date when everything work fine but after i install facebook 1.7.1 or 1.7.2 the problem starts.
When i remove facebook account from sync problem stops.
I think bug is in fb app.
Hmm, I don't think its a bug in the Facebook app because Twitter also happens to fxck things up. I'm running CM7.1 Stable on my of HTC Incredible and android.process.acore force closes whenever I try to see/edit a contact that is linked to (or is a contact from) Facebook/Twitter and whenever I try to hit menu and select the 'display options' option lol. Will try to move some apk's around from earlier nightlies tomorrow whenever I get a chance and see where exactly the bug is coming from.
Ok its been solved... Anyone of u having the google+ v2.0??? Remove it, that was the culprit which fcing the contacts...
