[Q] any touchwiz 4.0 for Galaxy Mini ? :D

can TW 4.0 or 4.5 for galaxy mini ?

don't think so bro touchwiz 4 will consume alot and i really mean a lot of memory

i think maybe have some tw hack ?

i wonder if someone can follow the interface and make old touchwiz look like them
is it possible?

No cause the original TW 4 apk needs arm7 to run! maybe someone can port
the look of TW 4 on mini but the original dont run on mini!!

use root explorer
move TW3.5Launcher.apk to system/app
dont delete the old Touchwiz30.apk (if you use stock touchwiz)
then set permission

done restart !!

You can move it but its not necessary to do that! Work with both ways!!

I've install it by moving it to system/app and reboot.
it works well but the 4x4 grid on home screen overlaps the dock bar. is it a known bugs?

I can't really delete all the home screen.
I leave one home screen and add another one.
but it still happened.
is this issue doesn't happened to you?

Customize lockscreen

Guys,
Is it really impossible to change lockscreen patterns and widgets in stock rom?
I am seriously trying to completely modify the way my stock rom looks. I have succeeded in modifying my status bar and notification power widgets using ninjamorph. But the lockscreen changes doesn't seen to work.
Can someone plz advise or point me to a reliable tutorial.
Any help will be much appreciated.

But that says that lockscreen mod will work on cm only. I tried it. Changes nothing on stock. Yes, its good to modify status bar but, not working for lockscreen. :-(

Actually its even a modification you can change even the way how to unlock and.. you can just change almost everything.

Lol, why don't you just make your life easier and flash a custom rom? ;D
There is a world of possibilities that you can do when flashing one. Specially CyanogenMod.

I have already tried almost every custom rom. And its about learning the stuff instead of depending on others customization.

Its a change in animatiin. So screenshot is not possible. Goin to try now to change it to ring type now. Will publish the details of how to do it and screeshots soon. Keep checking guys.

Yep, when u unlock the phone the slider changes the color. I have customized.those colors. Converted the red and green colors to sharp metallic black color.
Will try to create rings tomorrow in gimp and replace the bars with rings. Lets see how it goes.

How to change the title bar or actionbar ?

Can anyone describe which PNG needs to be edited to change the action bar (not the status bar) the bar which is blue in tw and shows my files heading when we open my files...

it might be, and I am not totally sure, the tw_quickpanel_top_bg.png in the res/drawable-hdpi folder of your systemui.apk

Will the changes be applied to the whole OS I mean the theme of other apps like root explorer will also change or what ?
Because root explorer uses the default theme of android it looks different on different ROMS

I think that while you use tw, it will be the same for apps like root explorer, my files and so on. some of the roms are themed so that may be why it looks different. can't really say as I prefer just plain stock, and even with holo launcher hd it uses the tw colors when opening apps.

Yesterday I modified secphone images .pngs but even after replacing the modified apk with the one in system/app/ nothing changed can anyone describe why ? Should I theme the sec contact apk also ?
Or is it necessary to decompile the apk even for editing .pngs ? When I extract the apk I can see the changes made but not applied ?can anybody help ? If yes then I would be able to make a nice secphone ..

Secphone is the phone during call. If you want to change how the app looks then you should edit the SecContacts

I'll try ..but the thing is I only changed the dailer colour from blue to orange and it didn't show up I changed each and every where the colour tell me where I've gone wrong after editing and placing my files ? Should I compulsorily make a flashable zip like the one I made for music player ? Because replacing system apk didn't help....

Since you edited the SecPhone.apk check the in-call Dailer. And you don't have to create a flashable zip, you can just push file to /system

In call_dailer_press.9.PNG refers to the pressed button and in call_keypad_BG_01.PNG refers to the keypad I've edited only the later one but changes just don't show up this is the first time I've encountered such an error...

[Q] miui icons porting

today i installed miui by mr vadim and liked his icons very much
is there a way i can port or add there icons in other rom
i dont want these through some launchers
i just wanna replace icons of other rom like stock one with these so is there a way
please tell

There were some icon packs made for the stock ROMs previously by people like Yawning cat for example. Download it, extract the contents, look up to each folder's contents & replace the icons you want with your favourite ones, repack using winzip, flash & reboot. Done !
