So, I figured people might like to have a bit of variety right here on the forum so I'm going to be making a few flashable zip boot animations. Just flash with CWM and you got a new boot animation. Some will come from the UOT Kitchen, so those of you that have problems can just flash with this. Also I figure with the long wait when the kitchen is full and then the wait for your framework to be cooked this just seemed like a good idea.
Not all boot animations will be from UOT will be making other flashables as well.
I DID NOT MAKE ANY OF THESE MERELY PUT THEM IN ZIP FOR EASY FLASHING
If anyone has any they want to use but, don't know how to make a zip post here and I will make one for you.
EASY INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Get yo butt on that link and download the zip BOY!
2) Slip that jamma on your externalized SD memory dizzle
3) Bi***slap your phone into CWM by powering that baby down and pressing Vol Down+3D Camera like a boss while you tickle that power button, oh yeah
4) No need to wipe anything baby, if it's crusty let it be, just move on down to the flash zip option and flash the zip file
5) Walk around like a pimp while your phone shows off it's sexy
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Not so hidden Easter Eggs in every package!!
LINK TO DROID RINGTONES!!!! Too big for XDA attachments
http://www.multiupload.com/4HUCUV6GXW
LINK TO SGS2 RINGTONES!!!
http://www.multiupload.com/V780SW7KOO
NOTICE: You may end up with double or more of the same ringtone, if that's the case just use a root explorer and go to /system/media/audio and go into whichever category you need to and delete. The reason is some have numbers in front some don't which allows for double files, if a file is named the same it will just overwrite. I don't have time to sift through all the tones sorry but, this is left up to you
Add the new Nexus Prime boot logo! ^.^
Already in the works, more will be coming tomorrow working on kernel right now and probably going to sleep at a decent hour tonight... I have been neglecting that lately and what sucks is when you are up all night doing this and that and at the end of it all it doesn't work... :/ sometimes it takes hours just to find out if what you did will work.... ugh

droid bionic system dump with boot animation..
I found this site that has the system dump, which includes the boot animation, could this be flashed? http://http://www.theandroidsource.com/droid-bionic-root-rooting-roms-hacks-overclocking-etc/755-%5Bdownload%5D-droid-bionic-system-dump.html
Downloading it now
OK still working on getting the actual boot animation to work which btw, looks pretty cool.
New zip in the OP which has extra ringtones from the Droid Bionic, lots of the droid voice and lots of ringtones we didn't have before just flash in CWM.
Boot animation will be up once I get it working.

Figured it out, haha thanks again boss you rock \m/
OK everyone, nexus prime boot animation is up. Haven't gotten that droid one to work yet, no matter what I do it just shows blank screen, I have resized reformatted changed names locations changed desc everything but it just won't show the boot animation. I handed it over to Trek hoping he might know more about it or figure it out something.
So, we are working on it will be posted ASAP.
Downloading that now too. Seems like this bootanimation thing is going to end up getting a lot more than just boot flashes. I will make zips for ringtones wallpapers whatever I may find. If I see any cool apps and they work I will get those out too.
Oh yeah, SGS2 Tones zip up in first post
First zip had problems new one is up
More boots are coming, anyone with requests post here will do my best to get them up quickly.

Requirements:
- DK28 ROM with kernel that can run custom boot animations (Bonsai4All, ViperROM, etc)
- Ability to boot into ClockWorkMod Recovery (any version) and flash a .zip file
What is it?
- As requested by lazydazed, a working CIA boot animation (I ported fromTP2); I made a few modifications to my liking
- Won't overwrite your existing boot sound
- The preview plays pretty quick, but the actual speed on the device is appropriate
PREVIEW
Instructions:
- Download .zip to SD Card
- Flash in CWM (all versions of CWM supported)
Download updated 01/19/11 - now supports all version of CWM recovery

how about a tutorial thread?
I flashed it via Clockwork and it didn't show during bootup. I'm pretty sure I did everything right. I'll try reflashing. ACS DK28 Stock rom
I don't think acs' stok kernel supports custom boot animations out of the box. Maybe try one of the Bonsai roms or maybe swap thekernels and see if that does the trick

Correct, this (or any custom boot animation) will not run on a stock kernel.
Yea, I kind of figured that was the problem. Total sadface on that. Thanks for the info.

I had wondered what kind of shutdown animation would fit. I was fooling around with the logo in After Effects seeing if there was a way I could make it disappear in a way similar to turning off an old tube tv set. Couldn't figure it out and moved on to other things.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking something simple like "Backing up Level 7 Encrypted Files" in green with a flashing command prompt. Then some cryptic text can fill off the command prompt. Maybe then some text could pop up saying something to the effect of, "Logging Off"
Just simple and secretive

Anyone have a "Galaxy S" boot animation?
Will the DL09 boot animation work or does a special one need to be CWM to the device.
Also, if someone could post a link that would be great.
I don't belive using a previous boot animation will work. We most likely will need to wait until the kernal source is released to use custom boot animations.
Seems like it might be possible to use the old one but at the moment SonOfSkywalker3's ROM manager page is down and I don't think I have it anywhere else.

No, this kernel does not support bootanimation.zip, we're stuck using the QMG boot animations. However, this does not mean you have to be stuck with the Fascinate's boot animation.
I've packaged up the Korean and the European Galaxy S stock boot animations, they're both nice alternatives to our "Verizoned" one. Just flash em in clockwork to give em a try.
KR Galaxy S Boot/Shutdown:
http://www.mediafire.com/?284o7auu1of2nnl
EU Galaxy S Boot/Shutdown:
http://www.mediafire.com/?5824mdkqcqcn057
these abort install in clockwork
Beyond messed up update_script, there's a bit more wrong, so don't copy all those files into your phones just yet, I'll reupload them when it's sorted out...
Well that's good to know. The superclean ROM doesn't have an animation. Makes me think there is something wrong on bootyp with only a black screen.

Re-updated my above post with the correct files/some stock files in case you tried to copy over files from the older update. I've been using these animations on DL30, but I accidentally packaged the wrong files and signed it wrong earlier. These ones work, I personally recommend the Korean one.

Luckily, it was one of the things that could be changed without requiring the kernel source.
All you need is to put it in the correct folder depending on your rom. I recommend root explorer to put them in the right place. FYI these dont work as downanimations. You are welcome to mod them as you see fit but.

Since they are boot animations thats why I figured the videos would be better.Even if I post pics I would need to post many to get an idea of the full boot screen.

Yeap,
Boot animations --> animated graphics --> hard to get the idea with some pics.
I just thought that this was the reason that strauts asked for the pics.

So, after a LONG time without enough free time to do it, I am finally trying to change my boot animation, but it seems I am not able to get rw access to the /system/customize/resource folder using Astro or Terminal Emulator even if my phone is rooted... I guess I would have to remount the partition as rw, but i'd like to avoid that so I wounder if using adb as following would be the right thing to do, or am I missing something?
-adb remount
-adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource/bootanimation.zip
-adb reboot
Thanks!

I'm not good at adb so may not be of much help but my best recommendation would be to buy root explorer off the market.
Its worth the money and will let you navigate and copy paste and write to system without adb and I can't tell you how simple it has made my life when it comes to bootanimations

The boot animation qmg files go into: /system/media
It would be a good idea to rename existing files and
not over-write them just in case you decide you want
the stock animations in the future.
Good luck!
Once i have time and the boot animation bin that makes zips work i will definitely be making boot animations

Hello all,
I take no credit in this and am sharing it.
It is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow boot animation and is tested with rooted Stock Rom and Unofficial Cyanogenmod 12.1
For those who have a custom recovery feel free to download and flash from here
And here is the preview:
Installed the zip and didn't worked out. Still stock animation. Any other change needs to be done?

I think it would be a ptiy to remove Motorola's original 'thread's animation, but I have downloaded it and put it on my Elephone, where it's a considerable improvement.

If the stock is still there, you didn't install it. You'll need something like Root Explorer in read/write mode to over write the original, and then set the permissions to 644.
The file is in system/media already... but it seems boot animation is in another folder...
I'm having the same problem. No matter what bootanimation.zip I place in /system/media, it will not change the animation. I've set permissions and everything properly, but every time I reboot it's the old animation with the new file in the directory.
It's not working from /data/local either
As you guys obviously don't know where to look here you go answers are everywhere you just need to look http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3189872
[MOD] Bootanimation fix
Delete the bootanimation in data/local/moodle
put this animation in system/media
But i believe flashing the zip does this
If you flash the zip and the animation doesn't change, then you need to delete the animation in data/local/moodle then reboot your device
I hope this helps you guys
