jcsullins - The guy who made all of this possible by creating moboot, and he created kernel patches that fix the weird-ass framebuffer glitches, and he made the userspace touchscreen driver. This guy is a f**king GENIUS!
jeanfrancis - pointed me towards better-initramfs, as well as showing me some code on pointing that initramfs to an LV.
crimsonredmk - showed me the Arch Linux documentation for the TP, and wrote the original instructions for getting Arch Linux on the TP, which I have taken and adapted.
The CyanogenMod Team - For creating CM7, and getting it working on the TouchPad.
perpe - made a working rootfs to get it booting while I was busy

Thanks! This is something I have been waiting for.

Looking for a kernel dev right now to assist in merging the patches from 2 kernels into the Ubuntu ARM kernel.

well i will help where i can, currently i do not have a ton of time for atrix but, I probably can work a little each day, I ran the extract-files.sh and through up the build files and gave it a make just to get an idea of where its at... we should compile a list of things that need to be done so we can work and check things off as we go , like I said though thanks everyone for the start ... your much further than I was *I am more on the AOSP route but hay it all works the same

Please use this thread for all your discussion about the Weekly Builds for CM7 for the Atrix. It is important to note that Weekly Builds are not for most UsersThings to know about Weekly Builds:
Not Stable releases
Will have bugs / issues
Are built From Atrix-dev-team repo
Are not Fully Supported like Stable Releases
Should not be used by people that are not Masters of ADB
You Should be comfortable enough to recover from soft bricks On your OWN
90% chance you will be wipping your data (factory reset) at some point and time
DO NOT REPORT ISSUES ON WEEKLY BUILDS ON THE BUG TRACKERWeekly builds can be found here:Weekly
sorry if this is a stupid question, should we look at the atrix-dev-team's github for changes between weeklies?

Although I support fun puzzles, titles that don't describe the content aren't allowed. You can switch it up t0dbld, just make sure the content is described in the title. Maybe "[CM7] Weekly Builds Discussion | blahblahblahpuzzleblah" or something.

Making the title in Russian then hex encoding that then taking the hex and turning it to binary would have been a decent challenge

Hey there,
Just to see if I understood correctly, these weeklies are actually the combination of the weekly nightlies with the stable build from the wizards at the Atrix-Dev-Team? coz in the Mod version it says "CyanogenMod-7-11-07-2011-NIGHTLY-Olympus"...
Anyhow, many thanx for all your contribution for the Atrix community
Here is a list of things that work (going off the top of my head)
What works:
It boots
Touchscreen
Wifi
Bluetooth
What doesn't work:
Sound
mmmmmkhay, so, just going to post a video? No info? Aha, I see.

you guys rock!
any idea on release?
The first rule of ROM is do not ask for ETA's.
I've been trying to track down some info and having talked to the ROM developer, he just got Wifi to work perfectly. Need to talk to him again and see what is next on our list to do, and then see what info I can track down for him to help him out.
Ditto, What else is on the To-Do list, I'd like to help as well.
He is currently working on sound and I'm trying to track down information in regard to the sound drivers.
Does DJ_Steve post his updates anyplace? Like on a forum or Twitter?
@DMonsterProd
And as for the website...you'll have to figure that out.
Im getting excited just thinking about it
Come on dude, release some beta please
We are currently working on some sound and video issues right now based off of the Transformer Prime kernel. We are (sorta) in talks with a guy from Nvidia who is their kernel alsa programmer.
hollar if y'all need another dev... it's getting a little old only hacking away at master repo and the emulator
I'll let him know and see if he wants to let someone (with more expierence) in.
Thank You.
So there is hope for the Dell Streak 7. Truthfully, "I was about to toss mine."
We are really waiting for some new info and new ideas. Nvidia is suppose to be releasing ICS builds for their dev boards sometime early next year, and that would help greatly.
Currently we are trying to build the latest kernel available but its going to be a long road, just to keep us busy.
can you tell us in a uniformed list of what is working and is not, please ?
Is the touchpad ever gonna get kernel 3.x and above?
doubt it
The 3.0 kernel is being worked on by several people. Progress is very slow. There are no great advantages to it so not a lot of work is being done. new volunteers are always welcome if anyone wants to get involved. Jcsullins' git hub for it is: https://github.com/jcsullins/kernel-tenderloin-3.0 the code is there. Don't ask when it will be ready. Work on it, and the glory of getting it working will be yours! There are no paid developers working on the touchpad. And no entrance exams to become a developer. All you need is a PC, and internet connection and a desire to learn.

Good question. How hard have you been working at it?
Considering it has been over a year since an status update from the OP it is reasonable to ask...
So I also ask, progress update on k3.X for tenderloin? Im not asking for a time frame... just status. Does touchscreen work? What about sound... WiFi... bluetooth?

It's been over a year since the last commit on the github linked above. That's your status. Also, the OP is not the purported dev. And finally, no, it is still not reasonable to ask. You are not the project manager.
I read about a Fedora 18 installer for our Touchpads. Does anybody know anything about this? Does it have a newer kernel than we are using for Ubuntu? Sound? I'd try it myself, but I'm out of town for the week without reliable internet (well, I have enough to post forum messages, but not enough to download great big tarballs).

Looks like he started working on it about 3 days ago. You probably could install it using that guide but we should probably wait until this person officially releases it.
"This person" is Rob Clark, the guy who writes Freedreno. He's posted it to his blog here, so I don't know how much more official of a release it could be.
