Anyway, as far as i know dolphin is a better browser, give it a try
Chrome only runs in ICS, not in Gingerbread
---------- Post added at 07:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:19 AM ----------
Yes, Dolphin browser is the ultimate browser, but if you want speed with less features...try Opera Mini,, it is more and more fast
There is also dolphin mini.

Try UC Browser. Its many times faster than Dolphin. I mean seriously.

Its a add on to any ICS ROM. And yes Svoice works. Its a mod for the SIII apps and soon the framework so your ICS ROM will be themed too. Try it.

Not seeing one for 6.4 (yet).
If you are looking for similar performance and stability, you can try Marvel 9 (yeah, I know it doesn't look as pretty, but functionally it's the same):

"for my girlfriend"....
Says it all. GB (2.3.4) ROMs for the P970 are the way to go. The ICS (or CM10+) ROMs were nice, but buggy. I ran ICS (IZS, Marvel 10+) for quite a while, but eventually reverted back to Marvel 9 (and on occasion Zeus 6.4) due to stability issues. Although GB-based, I had nothing but headaches with Zeus 7. Some Cyanogen 7 ROMs worked OK, but they had their share of issues as well.
Issues include:
SD card unmounts
Loss of touch control (requiring battery removal)
Dialer tone issues
GPS lock issues
I need a "daily driver"; something solid, stable, and that works every time. If I had the money or extra time (or free belt space), I might carry an extra phone to play with. The GB ROMs are more than adequate for my needs.
Your girlfriend will curse you if you give her something other than Marvel 9 (with the call patch) or Zeus 6.4.

You'll have to dig up the marmite thread. In the first post there is a link to a spreadsheet showing all the different versions. Whatever is the most recent version that is indicated for AOSP 4.1.2 is the one you'll want.

You'll have brightness issues with the 9.1 version on Jellybean 4.1 You'll need to stay at 8.7 or below to avoid this.. If you try 9.1 and don't like the fact that brightness is non adjustable, you'll need to reflash the rom before you try another version because the kernel leaves files on your phone that will continue to mess up the brightness control...
BLN does not work.
