Anyone used it? What do you think of it?
I tried it today, it works but I don't really see a benefit from it. Just wanted to know what any uses the rest of the community would find for it with the NC.
I just tried this out, set it to 120 and love it. thanks!
What is the lcd density changers supposed to do exactly? Is it just setting the DPI?

What is it exactly that you love...?
The original density of the NC is 169, which would render a better, crisper display...

LCD Density Changer

Since I use this application on my HTC Evo I thought I would give it a shot on my XOOM. Default settings it at 160 and I've accomplished getting the XOOM to 120 and STABLE. I'm not sure if anyone here has used this application but it basically adjusts your resolution on the device itself. Let me know if anyone comes around and try's it out as well. I haven't gone anything below 120 currently because I am happy of how the display looks at the moment.
Any issues with scaling, something not looking right? I haven't rooted my xoom yet, but this was one of the first things I thought of doing.

screenshot please..how it look on desktop, gmail and gtalk?
Everything is working perfectly fine. I actually uninstalled the application because the display where you can adjust icons, etc gets smaller and you have less room to place more things on the screen. It looks great but it just doesn't seem practical to be on a tablet. If you have a rooted XOOM def. try it out and tell me what you think about it?

Agree. The density of the Xoom is fairly small to begin with (160). It seems to be more fine tuned. What a difference with the first generation tablets! Those had a density of 240 and looked like the screen of a giant phone LoL
Did you also try to blow up the density? Wonder how it would look like with a density between 175 and 190

I actually did 240 once...it pushed the tool bars off screen.

I need help getting the camera to work after tweaks I made

I got the Tab on Friday. One of the first things I noticed was that the icons were so large they were cartoonish and nothing looked right. So I went through the build.prop and edited the LCD density until I found one I liked. Then I went through and set up the home screens, launcher, etc.... just the way I wanted them. This morning I went to take a picture of the Nook Color I'm now trying to sell and figured I'd use the Tab to do it. However, the camera app FC's on me. After sitting down and thinking about what I might've done to break it, I turned the LCD density back to 240. This fixed the camera. Of course, all my icons now look ridiculously cartoonish and large. I am not blind, just ugly. There is no need for this.
Is there any way to alter the LCD density without breaking the camera? Or are there 3rd party camera apps that will work regardless of what the density is? I really don't want to choose between my camera working and my icons looking decent.
Don't go higher than 180, if you did that's why the camera didn't.

It's set at 180 right now. That's where I wanted it. Do I need to tweak it to at least 190 for it to work? I could live with that I suppose.
Yes under 180 will do the trick. 182 will work I just tried it.

I tried 181 and it didn't work. Upped it to 190 and it worked. I can live with this I think though I might spend some time tweaking it later. Appreciate the help. I just got this bad boy on Friday and I'm a convert from the Nook Color so I'm putting together a long list of questions for the experts on here.

[Q] Why Google Doc isn't in tablet mode on ICS?

Hi everyone!
All is in the title
Since the new version of google doc is on the market, I desesperate to turn it in tablet mode with the last kang build of ICS. I don't know why and it's an bit frustrating to have only the display reserved to a smartphone on a 7 inch tab...
I believe that dropbox have the same problem too!
Am I the only one?
Or which reason do this? Lcd density?
Thanks for your responses guys!
Hi,

I have compared the two version and you lose nothing in my opinion. Tablet version does not adds so much compared to the phone version.
I am also using the same release. Try to set the dpi to 240 in LCD density and it should work however all the other things will be large.
Thanks!
Haven't try yet 240 dpi with ICS, will test this! I hope it's not too big^^
240 dpi will get you a phone vesion of ics. Try 120
onsabso scarpe
You're right DKStalker, I tried and it's weird at 240^^, but it give a look of what looks like a phone on android 4, I can not wait of a good ICS rom on my wildfire now
With 120 dpi it works well and the new version of doc is really nice but go back on 160 because it was too small!
I hope google will fix this lack at 160 dpi in a new version soon^^
Thanks guy for your help
