Try a2sd
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
its actually a problem with the market, try uninstalling the update to the market and try again
go to: settings/applications/manage applications/all/market and press uninstall updates. I also faced this problem once and doing this fixed it for me. after that I again updated the market and had no problem...

Thank you for providing a solution. Later I will try this way.
if you are already using a2sd.. you may have partitioned your sd-ext more than 1gb. try 512mb.
I have the same problem to.. after updating market to v3.3.11... can't install app above 20Mb..
I'm using sonygenmod rom, a2sd darktremor with 1,5Gb ext4 partition... so weird..

EXT4 filesystem can be 1EB (exabytes) large so that shouldn't be a problem Maybe DT has a certain filesize limitation.
Cheers

No android has no such limits. It is related to size of market cache. You have to move it to SD card.
I got an easy fix for this !!!!!!!
There are many threads whit this problem, THIS worked at my phone. Go to market and search CACHE FIX. this will help !!! .
if it works, give me a thanks please

Go to settings--applications --manage applications and move your widgets on your phone memory...
WIDGETS WILL NOT WORK IF STORED ON SD CARD!!!!!
sent from my SGA powered by the best rom ever --CM 7.2 by the late F.A.T. ( I ll miss u F.A.T )
Widgets function as children of the homescreen which is a system app in its own right, as such they have to be on the phones internal memory in order to be agglomerated into the systems function.
Install another rom. or reflash to stock rom using Odin Multi Downloader.
This thread is deletable...
What Widgets r we on about. R u saying that you had some Widgets on your previous Rom and u don't have them now? Like Widgets that came with the ROM or your saying that your trying to install some Widgets but they don't show up in the list.

Hello , i present to u the apps2ext script . thx to xda and its tons of threads which gave a lots of information
what does it do ?
the script mounts sd ext as internal memory , its fast and smooth and u can see sd-ext as internal memory
what do u need ?
a custom rom with inti.d support
how to install ?
1. backup all the apps and data in memory card
2. go to recovery and make a backup
3. make a sd partion recovery 512 mb would be good
4. set swap to 0
5. and complete partition
6. copy the script to sd card
7. flash the script and reboot
bugs ?

Actually the script makes u r SD ext as phone memory ... so make it. 512 ... If u make partition with 256 u will get 256 MB internal memory ... not internal memory + 256

Applications take cache space. How can we all clear at once. Is there any way? I am rooted.
Sent from my GT-N7000
There is an app called cachemate. That should help.
---------- Post added at 06:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:02 PM ----------
Or you can just boot into recovery and wipe cache.
Titanuim Backup is an app that most rooted phones have.. so instead of installing any additional app, there is a batch function to clear caches of all apps.. careful while cleaning cache of system apps as this will kill your systemui for a while.

For me that apps take a lot of time to start after clearing cache. So I don't until I need to.
You can download an app call " all in one tool box " on Google market. Its does very good job and widget itself. Cleaned most empty folders and cached.
Hope this helpful

Hi,
I installed CM10 on my girlfriend's ace. But she can only install max 8apps - then it's running out of space.
Most apps cannot be shifted to the sd card, so how did you solve this problem?
Bye,
Blubberor
Well as it is root you can move all new installed apps to the sdcard. Sorry can't remember the name right now I will post again.

there are scripts u can download, that allow any app to be moved to sd, instead of having to do it manually, and the best thing is, u dont require root for it, but it doesnt make a difference if u have rooted
http://techgage.com/article/moving_your_non-movable_android_apps_to_an_sd_card/
i couldnt find actual page i got it from, but if u want, i can upload adt platform tools from somewhere and share link
i also copied everything from the page in a word file, with instructions, and alternate commands, if the first ones dont work, ill upload those aswell, just let me know
