Dear all,
I did a search on this forum, but couldn't find any topic related to my problem, so here is a new thread.
I have a problem with phone function in my Sprint CDMA HTC Diamond several random programs installed. The phone now pops up a window with keypad saying "Unknown SIM Status, Only emergency calls can be made without a PIN" before TouchFLO starts on boot up. It looks like a SIM PIN unlock screen, and I can click clear to cancel this window and I can still make phone calls, but this window will pop up again and disallow further actions whenever I go to Phone->Option, or send a text message.
My phone is a Sprint CDMA phone, and doesn't even come with a SIM card. I guess I might have installed a program from GSM phones incompatible with Sprint CDMA, but I couldn't tell which program, and I don't see all programs in remove program list. Is there any way to get around it? Or I will have to flash my ROM back to stock ROM?
btw, my diamond worked fine before I start installing random programs.
Many thanks,
szubilly
*** SOLUTION ***
Thank cellzealot for reiterating how to bypass the initial device/account setup wizard, as well as his and a few others' findings with the RadioComm tweaking.
All I had to do was pop my homemade Bell microSIM I cut out from my old fullsize one in, complete the steps outlined for the RadioComm patch and the four corner touch trick to bypass the setup wizard.
(Starting in the upper left corner, simply touch all four corners of the visible screen in a clockwise rotation, ie: upper left, upper right, lower right then lower left).
*** SOLUTION ***
--------------------------
Hey all, just got my D4 in the mail today and have been trying to get the GSM functionality working for a few hours. I live in Canada, bought it used from eBay and so I don't have a Verizon account, nor do I have access to anyone with one.
I had no trouble at all using RadioComm to change the 8-byte string as per the threads on this and a few other forums, but I'm still getting the "This SIM card is from an unknown source" pop-up when I click the Android to begin the initial setup of the phone... and there is no way I can find around it.
I can see the signal bars now that I have a micro SIM that I've activated with my carrier (Bell Mobility) inserted into the microSIM slot in the back of the phone, but it still doesn't want to let me boot up. The only options in the pop-up telling me about the Unknown SIM are either Emergency Call or Power Off.
Anybody have any ideas? I've tried flashing up to the 219 fastboot as well with no luck, and of course applied the RadioComm edit immediately afterwards. I have a feeling that the phone only needs to be initially setup and then I'd be able to boot it up, because as I mentioned I can see that it's getting a signal but doesn't want to let me get into the initial user setup.
(And no, I'm not a n00b. Check the Droid 3 forum... )
Forgot to mention that the eBay seller didn't include their SIM so I don't have a Verizon micro SIM card, unfortunately for me. I have a ****ty feeling that I need to have one in just for the initial device setup then I'd be able to swap it out.
Argh!
You don't need a SIM to go through the setup process. Try it without a SIM. When you've completed the process reboot with the SIM and try to change the network manually. The SIM is unknown pop-up won't go away, I can tell you that much. When I was on 215, 219 and even AOSP/AOKP the pop-up came as soon as I entered my PIN. So don't worry about that. Sometimes it took a few minutes to get a signal. Recheck with RadioComm.
I had Safestrap on my system and that worked immediately. But the non safe system would not connect. Only after a couple of days. I can't remember if this is because I modified my build.prop.
If you're willing, you could try the ICS leak. I applied it and am very happy with it. It has settings for CDMA/GSM/World. Worked right away (had to setup APN). As you may have read, updating COULD take you off the official update path. But for me it was worth it.
It won't go anywhere but the screen that says "SIM Unknown"; the only two options it provides are two buttons on the bottom of the gray screen with the aforementioned message to either go into Emergency Dialer or Power Off. It's really frustrating! If I could just get past the setup part, I know this will work.
I can see the signal bars and can receive calls and receive texts (as well as reply to them, but I can't initiate them).
It also says Bell in the notification bar.
I am pretty tempted to do what you suggested and was debating it earlier, but haven't been able to get a concrete answer: has anyone tried to flash back to .215/.219 after applying the leaked update?
Yes and you will softbrick your phone! After updating to ICS the will phone run on a new kernel. Flashing SBF with an older kernel won't work.
The only thing I can think of is boot without SIM. Then edit your build.prop (you will need root). And hope now you can click "OK" at the bottom of the Unknown SIM pop-up.
Try chaning this in build.prop, reboot and check if you're able to click OK when the pop-up appears:
ro.default_usb_mode=2
persist.ril.modem.mode=2
ro.mot.phonemode.vzwglobalphone=1
ro.telephony.gsm-routes-us-smsc=0
These are the values I changed (apart from increase heap and wifi timing). Hopefully now you can click on OK so the screen goes away.
That's the problem, though, I can't edit any files or change anything because I can't get past the setup screen. I appreciate the help though!
I've tried without a SIM inserted and it just says it needs to have one, then prompts me to either Power Off or Emergency Dial, just like the other message about the Unknown SIM.
At any point in time did you ever have a Verizon SIM card inserted in your phone? I'm really perplexed about this one.
I don't think I'm going to try flashing the ICS leak just yet, just in case. Especially if it's not presently rootable.
I'm sure I'm not the only person this has or will happen to, I bought the phone from an American owner on eBay but I live in Canada and have inserted a Canadian GSM/UMTS carrier's SIM inside.
Nobody from Canada, either with Telus, Rogers or Bell with a D4 out there that managed to get it working?
Well, I plugged away at it long enough and finally managed to get past the initial setup screen, at least into the Settings menu so I could enable adb and installing unknown apps. That's all I needed...
Eventually a Smart Actions notification popped up and actually allowed me to set up a Smart Action without going through the setup, so I just made one that inevitably let me into the Settings menu and that was all she wrote.
Weird that this was happening though. I clearly have the GSM functions working as I can make and receive calls, but the phone is acting as if it is still locked and doesn't want to operate with a non-Verizon SIM.
I'm running .219, in case anyone was wondering.
But now you're passed the screen right? So why not root and try editing the build.prop. Like I wrote, this is all I edited and was able to use the phone with and without a SIM in it.
I did have a Verizon SIM, but I took it out at some point, before I had GSM working! It took me some days to get GSM working on 215 and 219. Wouldn't work without the edited build.prop! If you're afraid of testing, install safeboot. Then flash 215, update to 219 and use that one for testing.
You can bypass the initial setup screen by touching the four corners of the screen going clockwise starting at the top left. That will allow you to use the phone normally after that, but the unknown SIM error will persist.

I knew I remember hearing that somewhere. You sir, are a lifesaver. My previously mentioned workaround was okay but this is significantly easier. Especially considering I bootlooped my phone tinkering with build.prop settings and wasn't able to luck out and get that Smart Actions popup while stuck at the initial setup screen.
Thanks a million for your help!
(You too, Die Bruine. Trust me, I'm not afraid of making build.prop tweaks, I've been at this game for a while... )
I have tried this method below but I cant program it nor get it to make any calls. I have tried this X6 times and still have not accomplished this. Running .905 any help would be great
the entire process takes about 5 minutes after you install the software that you need.
you will need a computer, a data cable and an unused 4glte sim card and be on the .902 update
if you know how to bypass activation that will help (if you have wifi) you really need to be on the .902 update to get stable 3g
if you are not on the .902 update you will need to activate the phone or bypass activation and use wifi to download the upate and install it first,
because you will have to do or redo the activation after you install the update
to bypass activation:
Droid Bionic Bypass Activation
To bypass the activation on the Droid Bionic launch into safe mode by powering down the device and powering it back up, once the droid eye appears press and hold the volume up and down buttons simultainiously till you see the green android guy,

5. Tap the bottom left corner of the screen ( just above the grey bar along the bottom with emergency dial and change language in it).
6. That’s it, should pop up the home screen shortly, if not retry. Remember not to drag your finger, simple tap top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left.
touch the menu button at the bottom left corner of the touch screen (the four squares with the top left one being solid)
touch the settings button
wireless and networks and connect to wifi
scroll down to the bottom touch about phone
at the top system updates
install update .902
now proceed with activation

now comes the fun part
to get 3g
remove sim card
*#*#4636#*#* turn radio off change to cdma auto prl and turn radio on
toggle dns allowed
dial ##program enter 000000 to verify and scroll down to
14 LTE test settings
select sim type select 3g test uicc click apply
select LTE bbpanic select disable
disable class1 APN
disable class2 APN
power down phone and power phone back up if 3g does not come up go to settings/ about phone check and make sure you have prl version 51720
if not go back thru the qpst or cdma workshop method without the sim card in the phone and write the PRL to the phone
(make sure you change the r-uim to nv only)
As long as you stay with .902 or .905, this will work with 3G definitely.

I used this same method with success. I used QPST.
getting the phone up and runen
ok, i got as far as calls, wifi sms etc but no 3g yet, but i'll share with ya what i got off the forum here to at least get ya a little further
and i'm on eclipse .902
ok, if you start fresh, do a wipe, meaning clear cache, then do a full wipe, flash with rsd lite either stock .902 or eclipse .902
frankly, i love eclipse and couldn't go to stock again, just hate stock, bloat etc
now i am using a 3g sim card from verizon, i also have a 4g blank from verizon, what got me into this was i had my phone flashed by beigephone and they did a good job, just everything was stock, i don't want stock or bloatware, no root, and they used a 3g sim card to get the data going, that's where i'm at, with my situation, don't know what exactly they did to get it up and runnen, and i've tried all the tutorials etc on here, i'll get it eventually, but back to you,
i'm sayen grab a 3g sim card, i use cdma-ware workshop full version, yes, it's a hundred bucks, nothing against demo apps and i'm sure they are fine, but i'm all in on this stuff so i bought cdma but have used dfs and from what i can tell, their demo works fine to get things going also, what all the limits are i don't know, at least with cdma, full version, i know if i don't have something working, IT IS MY FAULT
ok, so if you can turn your phone sideways, tap the corners of the screen, you should be able to get the wifi going, grab bootstrap, get the phone rooted, one click did mine, sometimes motofail does it on certain releases sometimes it don't, and same with one click, found a file oneclick for windows that did it fine, plus grab root check from play, ok, after yer rooted and verified set yer phone to usb debug, unknown sources, boot into recovery (bp tools) hold both vol and power during all this i have my 3g sim in, now before this you plug yer phone in and copy whatever rom ya want to yer sd card, bootstrap the full version i got takes a couple reboots helps ya auto reboot and load yer rom, you probably already got this far, so after all this and yer loaded up root yer phone again, load cdma up or dfs, i'll go from cdma that's the one i know really, from bp tools ya connect via workshop and read the phone, then under other spc send six zeros, that unlocks, go back to main tab, bottom make sure cdma enter yer phone data yer min and dir etc are yer number 1234567890 cdma2 nv ruim only, load yer prl for all this read and write to nam 1 and 2 they do both in cdma just maken sure, disconnect reboot, now, the evdo settings, you can search the forum here on how to get yer data, coz i don't have it yet, and have tried darn near everything, i'll get it tho, ok when phone reboots star pound 4636 star pound choose cdma auto prl allow dns exit make sure radio is on, at this go to ##program activation enter your SID, mine is 32, have to find what yers is, there's links on here about the different settings in ##program but basically yer phone at this point should be able to make a call, check voice mail and sms etc i ain't good at explainen exactly but have done this few times and have always gotten the phone solid just no 3g yet if ya need help further skype: allen-sec or yahoo: allensecz, or message me i'll give ya my number
the bionic is the first and only phone i've done so far, and loving this stuff, just to be able to help folks get out of expensive contracts with nice phones, i mean i'm on pp and pay less than half a month as a lot of contracts, so anyway, hope this helps sincerely mrbeav
Actually it became tooooo easy with these official ICS ROMs.
there is a thread in howardforums.com.
Droid BIONIC ICS manual activation, talk, text, mms, 3g all working
If couldn't write MIN and MDN in programming menu, just back to BP tools, write MIN there. Back to normal mode into programming menu, you will be able to write MDN in there.
Alright boys and girls I've been working on this for a week now and I think I've finally got the fix for this...
UPDATE: WORKING 3G DATA AND MMS WITH ICS!
So for you GB lovers here's the way you get solid 3G Data and MMS with GB .905
You will need:
1.) Motorola Droid Bionic phone
2.) Your MDN/MIN information from Page Plus, use this link to have this information sent to your email:
2.) The required software support package:
Mirror1 or Mirror2
3.) 1 Blank 4G LTE Verizon Sim Card (Amazon, Ebay, or just go to a couple Verizon stores, eventually an employee will sell you one without to many questions...)
4.) 1 3G TMobile or ATT Sim Card, doesn't have to be activated just something you have laying around will work. As of the time of this write up I haven't tested with 4G cards but I imagine this method wouldn't work.
5.) Time, Patience, and a few prayers to the Wireless Gods might be a good idea...
PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE PHONE IS 100% CHARGE AND DATA IS BACKED UP BEFORE PROCEEDING
ALL DATA ON PHONE WILL BE ERASED, SD SHOULD NOT BE ERASED BUT BACK IT UP JUST IN CASE.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE!
STEP 1: Software Provision your Phone
Start by uninstalling any older Motorola drivers you have installed, then download the newest driver package from Motorola -
Install RSD Lite
Now turn phone off, and insert 4G LTE Verizon Sim
Start up phone in "AP FastBoot Flash Mode"
Do this by holding both volume keys while pressing the power button on the phone. Once your presented with a menu use the "vol down" key to move to your selection then press the "vol up" key to select that option.
Start RSD Lite and select .905 Firmware and Restore
After flash is complete, start phone in Recovery Mode
Do this by holding both volume keys while pressing the power button on the phone. Once your presented with a menu use the "vol down" key to move to your selection then press the "vol up" key to select that option.
Once you see the Android Icon with the Exclamation mark, press both volume keys at the same time. That will bring you to a menu, from there select "Wipe Cache", after that is finished, select "Format/Wipe Factory Defaults" as soon as that finishes select "Reboot Phone"
Power off phone, and boot into "BP Tools"
Do this by holding both volume keys while pressing the power button on the phone. Once your presented with a menu use the "vol down" key to move to your selection then press the "vol up" key to select that option.
Once phone is completely booted you should be presented with a activation screen, ignore that for now, and run the "DFS CDMA Tool" program.
Once your in DFS make sure you phone is plugged in, and in "BP Tools" mode otherwise you won't see any ports.
Now select the phone port from the list, should look like the one in the image below...
Click the SPC Button, Log Window should have result like image below
Now click the "Programming" tab and then the "General" tab. Change the "Ruim Config" to NV_ONLY and click "Write"
After that, click the "Data" tab, and enter your 10 digit phone number in place of the 5551234 numbers
Under the "Mode:" section, change the "HDR SCP force AT config:" option to "RevA_MFPA", click "Write"
Your end results should look EXACTLY as mine do in the image below...
Close DFS after your sure you have written all the settings above to your phone.
Now open CDMA Workshop and connect to your phone, click the "Nam" tab, click on the "Load" button on the bottom of the page, browse to the file provided in the software package, "Bionic_PagePlus_NAM1.txt" and click "Write"
Click on the "Other" tab, under the "PRL" section click the "Write" button, browse to the "PagePlus_51720.prl" and click "OK"
If CDMA Workshop responds with Success then your done with the initial programming of your phone...
STEP 2: PHONE PROGRAMMING
Now Power Off your phone and then power back on normally, at this point you should have completed the steps above and have the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Sim Card in the phone
Click the Next button to setup your phone, you should get a screen similar to the one below..
Touch the "Emergency Call" button and enter *228 and press Send, you will probably get a error screen regarding your sim card, IGNORE this message, and continue to click "Emergency Call" and then entering *228 and pressing Send
You may have to dial the *228 multiple times in order for it to start activation, eventually it will call out and you will get a screen like this one:
*If you cannot get your phone to program after multiple attempts then try this:
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Scroll down to "Set preferred network type:" select "CDMA Only"
Touch "Turn off radio" wait until you have to wireless connection and then touch "Turn on radio"
Now try programming again with *228
Touch "Speaker" or wait until the automated system answers and when prompted press "1" and wait, be patient this may take a minute.
Your phone is now receiving your programming information from Page Plus...
Once this process is complete and your phone is now activated, Dial ##PROGRAM and touch Send
When prompted enter "000000" for your SPC Password
Now scroll the the bottom of the page, touch "14 LTE test settings"
Touch "SIM type", select "3G test UICC"
Touch "LTE bppanic", select "Disable"
Touch "Disable Class1 APN"
Touch "Disable Class2 APN"
Touch "Enable Class3 APN"
Touch "LTE Movement Detection" select "Disabled"
Now go back one screen and touch "06 Test Mode"
Touch "Next", "Next", Touch "Network mode", select "CDMA Auto PRL", back out of programming menu to home screen.
So far so good, were almost there... Now power off your phone
Insert ATT or TMobile 3G Sim Card, and power on phone
If you have followed all the steps exactly you should now have working 3G Data and MMS on Page Plus with your Bionic. It should remain stable through reboots without any issues, I used mine like this for over a month.
Below are the steps for working 3G Data and MMS using ICS .247
!WARNING - IF YOU UPDATE TO ICS LEAK .247 YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK TO .905 OR GINGERBREAD! YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE IF YOU TRY!
!WARNING! - IF YOU UPDATE TO ICS LEAK .232 AT THIS POINT YOUR MMS WILL NO LONGER WORK, YOU WILL HAVE DATA BUT NO MMS
I will update this post with more instructions and pictures in 24-48 hours for ICS .247 with working 3G Data and MMS...
For ICS .247 visit the "House of Bionic" website and download the leaked ICS .247, follow their instructions exactly and read ALL warnings
Once you have flashed to the latest leak, follow the DFS steps above, and flash the "57120" Page Plus PRL using CDMA Workshop
Reboot Phone and touch the "Emergency Dialer" button, Dial *228 until you get to the activation screen, wait until prompted and press "1", wait for you phone to be programmed.
That's it, your done, no other steps should be needed to have working 3G Data and MMS with the ICS leak .247
!WARNING! - THIS DOES NOT AND WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY ICS LEAK PRIOR TO .247!
Alright hopefully you now have your Bionic working on Page Plus with full data and mms.. Enjoy!
UPDATE:
Apparently XDA requires me to have a minimum of 10 posts before I can add outside links to my post, I have a version completed with external links so maybe a moderator can waive this or if someone else wan'ts to post it just PM me and you can post it...
.905 Gingerbread
3G Data and MMS holding steady through multiple restarts, no extra steps have been required..
.232 ICS
3G Data works but no MMS, I do not think you can have working MMS with .232 I believe it is just a bug...
.247 ICS
3G Data and MMS working perfectly, if you follow steps above don't change anything under the ##PROGRAM menu, leave everything on 4G settings just like default.
Only thing you have to do is flash a Page Plus prl and *228 for initial programming and everything works great!
Will be glad to see this updated with more details.
I updated my phone to .905, redid everything, had PP reactivate it, but cannot get it activated OTA.
EDIT - I factory reset the phone, the activation screen came up, and it seems to be working! only have 1x at the moment, but hey, I'm happy.
will be glad to see your steps for 3G and ICS
Anyone know where I can get a 3g sim card locally? I see some on ebay but if possible I would like to get this working today. Also, do I need the 3g sim card if I'm on ICS .247?

That's a shame....any idea why that is?
Is there any hope we'll see updates in this thread for PP on the OTA ICS?
Thats pretty interestin I wonder if similar methods will work for metro PCs and cricket
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
is this process easier if you just want voice and mms?

Actually not necessary to do all these steps and is very very easy with the official .246 ROM to have working everything including 3G. Check my post.

basically what i mean is that im going to update the Bionic to ICS...
and im using the phone for business w/ page pluss... so i wont even have data on the phone... so im wondering what i an do with Stock ICS....
After that, click the "Data" tab, and enter your 10 digit phone number in place of the 5551234 numbers
Under the "Mode:" section, change the "HDR SCP force AT config:" option to "RevA_MFPA", click "Write"
can someone tell me what box the 5551234 numbers are in? They are all blank for me.
question on activation
thanx a lot appreciate the post
Those are your MDN/MIN numbers, ... one of them is your actual phone number, the other is a phone number that your service provider uses on their switch to identify you with...
To get your MDN/MIN numbers for page plus, google:
"Page Plus Phone Status Report Form - Kitty Wireless"
Enter your email and phone number and they will email you a report that will show both your MDN and MIN numbers....
ref: 3G data
ok, i'm on eclipse 2.2 .902 build
i've gotten everything else to work except data
from what i've read my mdn number is my phone number
also, and the phone activates over the air using the 14 digit
instead of 15 my imei is 15 digit but my meid is 14 digit
got 3g and 4g sim cards both from verizon
only time i've been able to see any data at all was when i had
the 4g sim in the phone and get this: went to disable radio
that's when the phone would sorta "hang" and 3g would show up
then go away, and this happens only once in a while
i've done about every tutorial i can find, only thing is i don't want to
go to a stock rom really love eclipse 2.2 and others have data going on
that rom also, so it's something i'm doing wrong
i also get the same results when i'm on eclipse 3.0 so again, it's not the rom
it's me, goofen something up
even when i went in to the verizon store, they were cool and told me themselves
this phone has been problematic for them on full contracts getting data to run
at least that's what the rep said about our area
i have my sid set to 32, i've tried with and without sim in the phone
i love this phone, i'll get the data worken on it one way or another
if ya can lend a hand for few minutes skype allen-sec
or yahoo allensecz
to all those who have spoon fed me with yer replies and posts,
thank you very much, i've learned a lot here on xda, do my best
to pay it forward

No if your on .247 you shouldn't need the 3G sim card... only for GB

Enjoy!

Yes, I have. This is what I did:
Re-activating phone on Page Plus after OTA update
1. Remove any old Motorola Droid Bionic drivers you may have on your computer and install the newest ones.
2. Turn phone off and turn back on in BPTools mode. Then plug the phone into your computer via USB.
3. Open DFS. Click "Ports" and select the COM port for your phone. Next, click the "SPC" button.
4. Click the "Programming" tab and then the "General" tab. Change the "Ruim Config" to NV_ONLY and click "Write".
5. Click the "Data" tab. Under the "Mode" section, change the "HDR SCP force AT config" option to "RevA_MFPA" and click "Write".
6. Close DFS and unplug phone from USB port.
7. Go to the dialer and dial ##7764726 (##PROGRAM). When prompted for an SPC password, enter "000000" and hit verify.
8. Go to "06 Test Mode". Hit "Next" twice. Then, change the Network mode to "CDMA Only".
9. Back out to the home screen; the phone will automatically restart.
10. After the phone has restarted, go to the dialer and dial *22800. Ignore any SIM card error messages you may see; just keep trying *22800 until you reach the activation screen.
11. Follow the instructions to activate the phone.
To get 3G working on your activated phone
1. Go to the dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#* (*#*#info#*#*).
2. Open "Phone information" and scroll down; click the button that reads "Turn off radio".
3. From the same screen, set the preferred network type to "CDMA auto (PRL)". Then turn the radio back on. The 3G notification should appear shortly.
I hope this helps someone!

I'm wondering the same thing. The question isn't what the 10 digit numbers are, but where are you supposed to enter them? The picture would be helpful here. Is anyone willing to upload those pictures for the OP or can the OP share the pictures some other way until you can post them?
Which field specifically are you supposed to enter the 10 digit phone number into on the "Data" tab?
In other guides they suggest rebooting the phone and editing the min/mdn by dialing ##program and choosing option 1. I tried that but I wasn't able to write those values. Anyone had luck doing it that way?

I messaged the OP weeks ago to take him/her up on posting the pics and links, I received no response.
I had all the same problems as you so I just skipped those steps. worked fine for me, my phone is working perfectly. my phone was previously activated but I did two full resets after the update so I don't think any PP programming was 'left over', but who knows.
to be honest I think the howardforums ics/bionic thread is more helpful than this one (pics, links, etc) here's a direct link:

Greetings,
This is really odd, and DO NOT try what I did if you don't understand it after reading this post, it may damage your phone!!!
Alright, I have two sim cards in use, one is for data only. So I was looking for a more convienient way to enable/disable that slot and the tool I used is called "shortcut maker" from google play.
I find a shortcut under "Settings"-"Settings Activities" named "Mobile networks" with a detailed Class Name reading as "com.android.settings.network.telephony.MobileNetworkActivity"( later on I found a similar one "com.android.settings.Settings$MobileNetworkListActivity").
When I opened it , both of my lines are listed there. This place is not accessable through ordinary system settings menu, so I call it hidden menu.
So I entered one of my line, and saw an option to turn off "Use Sim".
Everything just changed after I touched that switch. when I turn it on again, the other sim goes off, and if I turn the other on again this one goes off automatically and seems that I can only choose one line after then. I tried many times to enable both line together but no luck
Although these two cards appears very normal in original system settings both under "mobile networks" and "sim card manager" except signal icon show forbiden signs (crossed circle).
Further more, the lines can ONLY be brought up from that hidden menu, and if I turn it on or off in "sim card manager" it will not affect at all.
what was worse is that I found both cards are automatically turned off if I power off or reboot the phone. I have to enter the shortcut to enable one before I can use one.
I also tried to reset networks but not working.
I cannot do a full recovery this moment as I will need to move many of my app and data.
I wonder if any of you guys has seen such problem or familar the usage of such activities and maybe with the knowledge of what data has been written to system so that a cure can be developed.
Thanks in advance~
What exactly did you want to do?
In system Settings - Connections - SIM card management you are able to select the preferred SIM card for phone calls, messages and mobile data. See my screenshot (although I have installed only one SIM card ATM).
