I'm using thriller currently but the Dev for it no longer has a thrill.

It appears that in the "Development" Section that there are a couple new ROMs available, still waiting on my personal favorite Cyanogenmod to become available for the Optimus 3D (which is the sister phone for the Thrill)
What rom would anyone suggest I use
I mainly want 3d converter tethering mms and 4g
If I could post in the development section I would ask the starters of the threads if they are still working on them

Well you will be hard pressed to get all that, you want converter you will have to install o3d rom but, you will lose 4g and have to setup apn for mms, someone is working on getting all that fixed up right now. Converter only works with I think v10j and v10k based roms, all thriller are v10e. J and K versions are O3D only. All custom roms come with tethering
We're putting together a team Armageddon style to work on Dev. But instead of roughneck experts, it's mostly adventurous rookies. Gah I need a jacket patch for this!!!

Ya I'm coming from the atrix and that was a long wait. And it already seems this group is a lot more helpfully with out all the flaming. I've used dg stuff since the captivate so I'm sure as soon as its stable he will have some good instructions on how to get cwm on our phones.

RootzWiki sent me an HTC Incredible to build for a while back and I finally got a chance to port my ROM series.
More info about me and my ROM on my site: http://www.peteralfonso.com/
Latest build: Download link (if no bugs show up this is the "stable" build)

Wow, this is awesome! I hope it will eventually be updated to ICS when the source code comes out and then yes, this will be one beast mode ROM. Bookmarked to flash soon.
Tried this one; lean & very fast!
Great reputation for developer is well deserved.

Its just a regular stock gingerbread UI, it just works great.
Just over 17 hours with 17% left, default speed settings and moderate use. Very nice.
Awesome to see another great developer on board for our precious Inc's!

OK so you got yourself a noob here and may I say what a site very informative and the people despite dealing with noons alarmingly often are always helpful and polite. To my query. I wanna know about modems. I need a degree in em if you will. Say I want 4g internet on my 3g phone is it possible and how complicated is it? I've read a little about them here but not enough. Would there be a place I could find out which modems work best in my area and which of those would support 4g? As I sit in my wood sided house my signal strength is -105. If it helps any I'm running helly bean and it is like gliding on ice its so smooth compared to 2.3.5. So I'm not stranger to flashing. Could someone please help me understand these thing to better enjoy this cappy until next June when I'm available for an upgrade.

There is a Modem stickied thread in the Development forum.
And it is a No on the 4g. Captivate doesn't have the hardware for it.

So i finished the port, but something is wrong with device specifics. Since the build isn't really functional, unless you are an app developer, I'm not going to invest more time into the port. Sorry guys, ill pick it up again when there is a more... useful build available to port.

I actually have a decently functioning d2att port. How to install if interested:
First make a backup
Then wipe data. You can dirty flash if you're already running cm10.1 but don't dirty flashes are a no-no.
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/p4FgJsnN
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/KoRbVtrT
But WiFi/cell service doesn't work at all yet so just understand that before you flash. Also the screen doesn't really shut off. Sort of a pain in the butt but still, its for developers haha.
Oh and also MAKE A BACKUP.
This actually isn't all my work, i just simply modified a few text files. Here is the original thread:

I may be able to help, do we set up team viewer just so you can modify one folder where zips are located? Is this so you can apply changes to the zips for us to move to our phones faster or what? Just trying to understand the need for the team viewer
