Hi folks, the lights on the capacitive buttons on my nexus 1 doesn't seem to work properly . They're dead, until I adjust the screen brightness to 0 then increase it, but as soon as the phone is locked they go dead, and I have to repeat the above. is there a fix for this?, tried googling but only seem to find a fix for when the actual buttons have issues.. Any help will be appreciated

Your only option would be to replace the digitizer, which you can find on eBay, most likely.

Someone said they put a piece of black tape over the light sensor. That should work, but then the light will always be on . . .
Hi Devs, do you think it would be possible for a mod to be created that dims or switches off the Capacitive buttons backlights off whilst watching videos or Youtube? Would be especially handy when watching videos in the dark. Kind of annoying having the bright capacitive button lights there when trying to watch in the dark.
Cheers!

I PM'd you. waiting for a response. i really really need this cuz the lights are distracting
New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.

Are you able to see the button lights in the daylight? They seem kind of dim to me.

Is there a way to keep the capacitive buttons lit even in brighter situations? Difficult to see where to press otherwise. Desire a non-rooting solution, please. Thanks.

There's an app in the store. Search capacitive button and it should show up. I uninstalled it because I wanted a widget instead but none has appeared yet.
