This is a pretty simple really. Just download screencast from the market. Record your video of your setup theme and icons ect ect. Just like posting a screenshot!
So now im on my computer hopefully the video works now. I tried posting the video last night from my phone and it didnt work.
Reserved for future use.
thats a pretty dope app ha. the evolution of the screen capture has finally evolved!
I bought the full version, I think this could be useful later on.

I had a thread about it here:

I'm still surprised more people haven't adopted the idea. You can record audio now too allowing you to narrate what you've done and how you acheived it!
How did you get you video to post? If tried everything, ive tried using the youtube tags. I tried the the iframe thing.

Glad you got it sorted mate, and looking good!
This is one thing that definitely benefits from a dual core CPU. On my single core N1, the UI changes don't look fluid because of the app itself using cycles as it records. I understand that recent updates have made the app less resource hungry though which is good.
As i said in my earlier thread, it's nice to see animations and transitions with peoples creations, which still images can't capture. There's some awesome work people are doing and this is the perfect way to show it off.
Let's see what you've all got!

hey have any of you guys seen this? http://www.cyrket.com/asset/943468869273605197 its orb for android, only problem is there is no search function for it!
do any of you mods or gods (cyanogen, etc) or normal folk (lol) know how to or could you add a search function or sort in artists, albums??
its open source now, so you could even make a quick buck!
http://christian-albert-mueller.com/blog/androrb-now-open-source/
I love this on the iphone, so it would be really great for android!
80 views and nothing?
I've been using that alpha for awhile now. Very buggy, video playback is sorely lacking codec support, music playback is marginal at best. Lack of search function and cumbersome file browsing make this app fail imo. Needs help badly but could be a cool package with some work.
Wow, almost made a new post because this one is dead.
I mean c'mon it's Orb for Android! I'm pretty geeked at how some of the videos I sampled from PC actually streams on here! C'mon surely there is someone that's interested in picking up the open source code and adding in better browsing options like browsing by folder & search! This have potential to be one of the most kickass apps on here!
i had orb streaming live tv and my media from my pc but it broke after cupcake for some reason i would love an app for this
Bump... This app needs some work!
Not working on Droid
I gave up Windows Mobile (which worked pretty well with Orb) and got a Droid yesterday. It is a fantastic device, but I have been pretty disappointed with the lack of Orb support. I would be willing to pay to see a stable Orb app, and a Hulu app too! (it would be nice if Orb started to stream Hulu to mobile devices, I know they already do some internet vids).
What's wrong with just using the mobile browser site? I've been using it almost since I got my G1 and it generally works fine.
I saw that this is now open-sourced but not a single dev has picked this up to finish. I see that it has great potential and a lot of the base has been completed, just needs some fine tuning.

Thread resurrection!!!!
Is there a chance we can port the Netflix App released for the iphone today?
I am sure that they'll release it for Android, but it would be nice in the meantime.
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
I don't think it would be possible to port it without first having the netflix app's source code. Plus on top of that they are two totally different operating systems with different video / audio / graphics frameworks. It would probably be easier to just write one from scratch.
Your best bet at the moment would to be just to wait until netflix releases it or to see if the blockbuster app has been ported from the droid x. While the blockbuster app sucks because you would have to pay for each movie instead of having a netflix subscription I think its the only app right now that does streaming movies I hope netflix gets its act together soon!
No chance of porting it... Netflix has been actively hiring android developers, recently looking for "android video playback experts" the official app will come sooner or later.
Netflix Android app got released... but its not for the Aria yet :/
I downloaded and installed the apk on my Aria running Gene Poole's most recent Liberated ROM. It installs fine and I can add to and modify my queue, but playback doesn't seem to work. It says 'Loading...' for about 5 seconds then goes back to the apps main screen.
I've attached the apk for anyone who wants to test it.
A bit of a warning though, installed the app is ~22MB. Considering our phones have ~130MB user storage that is quite a big chunk. Luckily it supports a2sd, which shrinks it down to about 16MB
installe the app, UI is slow but playback is fine! FINALLY! yes it works on the Aria, this little phone never ceases to amaze me.
Worked for me too!

What ROM are you all using?
confirmed working on FR008, OC kernel
browsing isn't too bad with a slight overclock.
streaming seems flawless.

Same here.
If you're running cm 7.0.0 or above, you can edit the build.prop to make it think our aria is a G2 or Nexus S. I tried it and everything works great.

Did you try before editing it?
I didn't have to edit anything, just installed on my CM7 Aria and off it went, watched an episode of Arrested Development without any issues. Only downside is AT&T data-limits!
I haz wifi DDD
And no I didn't. I probably shouldve, but oh well.

Of course there's Wifi all over the place, but without it, I'm scared for my data-limit because of this new app haha!

latest CM7 stable not the latest nightly. didnt have to edit the prop file just installed rebooted and BAM!
Market link (edit - Link fixed. There needs to be a way to turn selected words into a link on the XDA App.)
Pointing this out because I think this is the first app I've seen that takes advantage of the newly released fragments API for pre-Honeycomb versions of Android.
XOOM'd from the XDA app

Outstanding! Added to my apk list in my sig. Pure honeycomb design.
So far, seems pretty cool. The 'Phone' panel looks kind of funky, but it works well. I was converted from SoundHound a few weeks ago after Shazaam went to the five song limit. It's way better, IMHO.

I'm probably behind the curve right now but some guy ported flash player to armv6 devices like the aria. It works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155538&highlight=aria
EDIT: Nevermind.

Doesn't really work for playing flash video, however, it does let you view the content. Waste of space imo.
Tested on Salsa ROM running Android 2.3.3 on top of HTC Sense 2.1
Using Stock browser, flash plugins loaded, but crashed when trying to play. (CNET TV Flash Video / Flash Game.
Going to whatismyflash.com confirms that flash is installed.
using Dolphin Browser HD, same thing happened.
Did I just wet myself? I believe I did...
Edit: That was a epic fail.
Yeah...the dev who made it didn't do to well imo.
50% of people can't get it to work.
^ You have no idea of what's involved... and you don't even understand why it didn't work. Shush
Works! Thanks!
Mostly works for me.my local news stations have mobile sites but I couldn't watch the videos, even with the sense flashlite.now they all play fine.

So? I'm reporting of what happened in my experience. Please don't tell me to shush. We don't need a negative person here. And considering the poll was 50/50 in saying yes it did work, or no I didn't.
Tried it last night - it seems to "show" the flash content better in browser, but if you click on any video or other content (or even zoom in sometimes), you get kicked out of the browser entirely.
Broken for HTC Aria/Liberty, I assume.

good first impressions. surprised to see how well the nexus 7 screen looked when it was streaming the movie. UI looks very snappy. looking forward to your full video review. Right be a good idea to show off some tegra3 optimized games like Dead Trigger. also on how fast the stock chrome browser is.

I like the video. Simple enough to cover the basics of the tablet (screen, video, jellybean, etc.) and a simple comparison against the fire. The video didn't go too much in depth against the Fire but that'd be a separate video in itself.
Which rooting video was that you were talking about? Can't find one myself.
