im from india my usb port is broken..where can i get one?
Not sure because I just started looking for one as well. Mine broke and I'm having difficulty charging it. It seems the usb ports is loose. Any ideas would help fellas, and thanks in advance.
you could try using a horizontal Phone Cradle or Dock, and the phone will go over the usb cable and should stay there, you can get them from ebay easily enough.
Alternatively instead of charging the battery through Usb buy a secondary battery and battery charger (the cradles tend to have a battery charger built in) and when the battery needs charging, swapping the battery with the one charging. not ideal, but it is a way around.
I kept looking on the internet for replacement USB connectors and I found this. Hope it helps.
looks like I cant post the link. Go to ebay and search for "HTC Incredible S G11 Charging Connector Port Block Unit Repair Repalcement Part"
This is what it was titled. Good luck..
Just get it repaired from HTC service center ...

ya it was under warranty, i reverted it back to s-on
Guys those who have USB problem, take it seriously you should give it to the service center immediately.
It is a hardware replacement problem! For me they replaced the USB board itself.

Hi, can you still USB mount?
Well your English isn't bad but we know that the light should be (green) not amber while charging and I know I suggest this a lot but have you tried pulling the battery, than put it back in to see if that works?

Ok you tried another usb cord and have you tried what I mentioned, not saying that will work but worth a shot yes?
can you still USB mount? Have you tried another power source? try use a wall socket?
Are you Rooted/S-Off?
If yes, try another rom.
If not, try other charger, cable.
Pull out and in Battery.
Try load while device is off.
Try another battery.
If nothing works is the USB Port broken or device.

You're another Note user with the same problem. This is a common issue with the Galaxy Notes called "Ghost Mode" or "Crazy Mode", It still charging even if you unplug the cable, and the screen does not turn off (also, in a couple of hours you will see that the Clock and the Driving Mode are turning off and on every time). Its a hardware problem, not software. Happens after months, years or even weeks after buying the device. It covers the warranty so leave it at a Samsung Service Center and they will send you a repaired usb port or a new phone (mine was happend the same issue and Samsung gave me a new phone). Hope it helps you. Sorry my bad english, greetings from Argentina!

Hey everyone, let's see if you can help because I'm out of ideas.
My HTC Desire C was working fine but I wanted to change the SD card, so I turned off the device and switched the cards... but when I tried turn it back on the device does not respond - no htc splash, no bootloop, no noise or vibrations. I thought it could be the battery so I left it during the night charging. No response in the morning either.
So left the battery out, and took the sim and sd card out for a few hours to try again later. No luck then either. Then tried connecting it to the PC but it has no effect. Took the battery out again and left the cable charging, no go.
Tried a few more combinations but still cant get it to turn on. Does anyone else have any another idea?
Guess I'll have to take it to customer service when I return from my vacations.
u saying took out battery and let it to charge..Lol the phone won't charge.
If u connected it properly get ur usb cod or adapter checked....
which rom were uusing???
kernel???
Lapsus linguae. I tried booting the phone without battery and just the cable... obviously wasn't charging.
Plus the charger and cables work fine on other phones, so that isn't the problem. It's the phone...
I was using the sense v3.1 rom from russell and the lowest kernel in that package from nikhil.
Any tips anyone?
Sounds like a faulty sdcard to me. My brother was in the same situation and it turned out the card was faulty and fryed the phone.

Could be!
I've returned from my vacations and just left the phone today at the service centre. I'll re-post in a few weeks time with the outcome :good:
I wonder if they'll notice that I've flashed the phone and what they will say
Got the phone today. They didn't tell me what was wrong, but it does turn on and didn't have to pay a thing.
They re-flashed the stock rom... first thing to do is change the rom!

Nobody here can help you, get it to a repair shop and the guys there will know what to do. It's a hardware issue apparently, and a Samsung service center should be able to fix it.

Are you root and have you got a custom recovery installed?
If you are you might want to drain your battery, then charge it fully; to remove your battery stats (in CWM). That might help.
If its just your charger not charging your phone, that might indicate that youre charger isnt working, have you got another usb cable? try charging it while its connected to the pc to make sure the AC adapter itsself isnt broken.
Cheers.
