how do i install the stock weather app of lg p970 to nova v8 rom? i tried copying the apk of the original app of lg opp black but wen i installed to nova v8 it said installation unsuccesful. please help really want that app. i dnt want to use the orig rom coz its slow. tia
install weather with terminal emulator:
type "su" then "nova"
then search the install app point,
next install stock app´s, there is the weather app inside.

I find it unfortunate that in the rom fear edition there have not lg calendar widget I found well do you know another or a way to add and sorry for English but I use google translate
You can download the LG widget and install from SD via CWM. The weather widget works fine but the calender, it force close when i tap on it. Still trying to figure out this but unfortunately i was not able to post at the DEV forum.

having this problem in blazingdragon rom too, not sure if this occur on original mdc rom
ok what i installed was the widget only, we need to calendar.apk to work. Anyone have idea where to get it? google gave me nothing.
ok i have figured it out.
1) first download the calendar apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13428866&postcount=15
2)paste the calendar.apk to .../system/app/ using root explorer after enabled r/w.
3)install the calendar widget apk.
4)enjoy your calendar widget which wont stuck anymore
Thanks dude. For my case, I update to fear v8.0 FR15 a moment ago. Reapply the LG widget zipfile and the battery mod zip. The Calender widget workis perfectly now.
I guess is the V8 use back LG Calender. Infact I use back the LG gallery which is better.
Try it. Its so much smoother now on the UI. Calling apps is instant.

Which launcher are you using now? Go to settings->programs->"find the launcher you are using"->Clear standards!
Then press the home button, choose LG launcher as standard!

Hmm this is realy nice, i did flashed from stock to stock rom again i did got my LGhome.apk where is supose to be and i did flashed in r2-performancepack-2x-unsigned as well, and i got realy nice resolt ( no more random restarts or error for LGhome app phone works perfect ) ..

I have just moved to using GO Launcher EX afer usering the stock LG launcher for some time, the ICS theme was just too nice. The only issue no is; I luv the look of the stock LG clock/weather widget and althought the ICS theme is really nice, I would still want the LG clock.
My question is, is their a way to use the LG clock/weather widget with Go Launcher EX???

Its for any app call AppWidgetPicker. You need to be rooted thought and have a file manager (like Root Explorer) to be able to copy it to the relevant folder and amend the permissions.

Have a Galaxy S, stock 2.3.5 jvt, rooted CWM3.
The TWLAUNCHER sux big time, i want the stock GGB Launcher, downloaded Launcher2.apk file somewhere on the net, but cant get it to work.
Put it into System/App not working, renamed it to TW3launcher.apk (or something like that), not working...
Can someone help me out ?
Dont want to use ADW or GO etc. just stock ggb ;-)

Why don´t you just download it from the market?
the version found on the market is for android 2.2
when using this one on 2.3.x you get blurry icons etc...
I want one who's integrated into the system.

TS said no to ADW nor GO.
Want to replace the current (default) launcher with the oreginal GGB launcher.
Go, ADW, Zeam, etc are all app's that runs next to the default launcher.

i am on zeus 7.0 rom and i got the original widget's from heuxxx's blog , and if i am not wrong i think you can install them on your phone too using the install zip from sd card option in recovery .

Official LG weather widgets works only in Official LG ROMs. Its has integration to other system file/s aside from the apk file. You can use other widget apps available in the market.
